C2 Racing

"Lilian, come here! quickly You have a delivery." aunt call me.

" Something came for me?? I thought and sighed reliefs because thank God, He wasn't my new neighbor or I will be dig a hole in the ground and bury myself alive in embarrassment.

I jumped from the couch. I rushed through the living room and made it to the doorway.

I saw aunt was holding a banquet of bright yellow flowers.

" Daffodils?? who are they from?

" I don't know. But there's a card."

I took the flowers from her and walked them over to the kitchen counter. My heart nearly fell to my stomach as I opened the card and read the note.

" Dear redhead across the bay,

We thought it would be a great way to say thank you for being a neighbor. This is a flower known as Narcissus peeping I don't think I need to say more? Enjoy them.

Love you neighbor, Anton."

I squint my eyes and shut it for a second in embarrassment. I can never go back to the backyard out of embarrassment.

" Who sent you flowers? aunt asked me from behind and I immediately, hide the card in to my fist and turned to face auntie.

" It's not for me he got the wrong address."

" Oh, I thought it came from your secret admire."

I rolled my eyes and turned again, facing the flowers and I quickly unwrap it and placed it on the vase.

Shortly, after the door bell again rang but this time I went to open the door.

When I open the door I see sami standing at the door steps.

" Come on, Tory why are you still standing outside?"

" Oh, no I can't come inside and I'm taking you somewhere."

" Where? "

" Come on, get your jacket we don't have time." She said and give me a little nudge to move inside and I moved and got my jacket out of the cloth rack next to the shoes rack in the hallway.

I informed auntie that I'm going out with tory and don't wait for me at dinner.

" Where are you going? and when you will come back." She asked me and I switch my shoes with sneakers I begin tying my shoes laces.

" I don't know where exactly we are going? but I'll infrom you and take care good bye aunt."

I head outside and saw tory car's was parked in my circular drive way. She unlock the car door for me and I hop in the car and buckle up on the seat and she start the engine.

" So, where are we going?

" Um... you'll see... I can't tell you right now." she said without making eye contact which put me in a suspicious... Where is she taking me?

Soon, we arrived at some kinda of parking area and she was pulling up the car in to the parking spot and I rolled down the window and saw a bunch of man's holding helmets in there hand and standing next to their racing cars. I knew already where this is going?

tory got off the car and told me to come out of the car.

" Why don't you tell me? that you are taking me to see a race."

" If I would told you about it then would you come with me."

" Never!

" See, I knew that and that's the reason I didn't told you... come on get off the car."

" I would prefer sitting in the car rather than going to see a bunch of immature people risking their lives to show-off thanks but no thanks."

She begin pulling me out from my sleeve and she finally pulled me out of the car. She said, " Doctor, Sean is also racing and you don't want to miss him seeing on the track."

" He again start racing. He is such an asshole."

She didn't listen to me that I don't want to see race insisted, she tucked her arms around me and leading me inside.

When we arrived at the race track, I was tingling with excitement. I could see the bike race racing around the track very fast. Then, we walked to the in-field of the track to meet with sean.I noticed all the people scurrying around working to get ready for a race. In the in-field, there were the garages, and the pit stalls for the racers and their crews. When we were there, I got to see the crews working on their sports bike. I was able to walk right up to the bike and look at everything. Each team were adjusting the engines. Well, I never understand what is so fun about racing. I have seen so many car accident daily in Barcelona. lately that is why I don't like racer they are risking their life for what nothing?

While I was in the pits, I observed what teamwork the crews had.

Suddenly, I felt an hand on my shoulder and I jerked up and spinned on my heel.

Dr, Sean was standing there, wickedly smiling at me and I rolled my eyes...

" Look, who's here? Lilian, I'm so surprised to see you.'

" Well, I am also surprised to see myself here." I muttered.

" What??

" Hey, Dr, Sean how are you doing?"

" After seeing you here I feel so good."

I transformed my facial expressions in a bitch face and folded my arms together.

" Are you flirting with me again?"

He gave me a warm smile and said, " You don’t have to be worried, okay? You don’t have to be scared.” His voice is twinkling again. “I’m not flirting with you.”

Embarrassment sweeps through me. Flirting. A dirty word. He thinks I think he’s flirting. “I’m not—I don’t think you were—I would never think that you—” The words collide in my mouth, and now I know there’s no amount of darkness that can cover the rush of red to my face.

He cocks his head to the side. “Are you flirting with me, then?”

“What? No,” I splutter. My mind is spinning blindly in a panic, and I realize I don’t even know what flirting is. I just know about it from textbooks; I just know that it’s bad. Is it possible to flirt without knowing you’re flirting? Is he flirting? My left eye goes full flutter.

He moved towards me, closing the space between us.

" I'm happy you that you came to watch my race."

I am not going to lie, seeing him so close to me he is quite intimidating. I got my composer back.

" Let me, correct you I didn't come to watch your race and tory took me here with her I have no interest in watching you racing."

He arched his brow and said, " Really, but you are still here even if you have a choice to leave."

He got a point why am I still here? despite I was being tricked by tory.

" Well, I was leaving but tory doesn't want me to leave she was dying to see you racing on the track."

" What about you?

" I never want to see your face but I'm helpless because you are my colleague. "

" I can be more then just a colleagues." he said while smirking. I hate his guts.

" HEY!! MATE! COME OVER HERE!! someone call Sean from behind.

He was so focused on me he didn't realize that someone was calling him.

" Sean, somebody behind you is calling you I think your race is about to begin."

He took a step back and blessed me with some space to finally breathe and he cranked his neck towards the side and gesture him that give him 2 second.

He again faced me and said, " Are you not giving me your best of luck kiss?

I glared and hit him on his arm, " YOU ARE SUCH AN JACKASS!! I WISH YOU'LL NEVER WIN."

I immediately, spinned around and leave the race track as fast as I could and I can hear him calling me behind me but no way I am in the mood to deal with this asshole. As I get the walking pace, a race car came out of nowhere around the curve, leaving me in a utterly shocked. He was coming straight towards me in full speed.

I froze and unable to react I feel like I'm about to be dead.
