C12 Anger
Chu Xiaoli was already on edge, her eyes unfocused. Suddenly startled by Xiao Chen, she instinctively yanked her hand away from his grip. Xiao Chen narrowed his eyes, his anger intensifying.
"Great! This woman has some nerve!" His large hand clamped down on Chu Xiaoli's delicate jaw, squeezing so hard that it quickly bruised. He seemed intent on crushing her jawbone. "Chu Xiaoli, you've got guts! Do you think cozying up to Xiao Jie means you're safe? Let me tell you, you're wrong! Xiao Jie is just an illegitimate child! He can't help you! You'll never escape my grasp in this lifetime!"
The Xiao Chen from that day, like a demon from hell, seemed to have returned.
Chu Xiaoli was in too much pain to speak, tears welling up in her clear, beautiful eyes, ready to fall at any moment.
"Speak up, Chu Xiaoli! Aren't you usually quick with your words?" Xiao Chen sneered, his lips curling. "Or is it that you can only talk in front of him, and you're just a mute around me?"
Xiao Chen was genuinely furious, his usual elegance and composure nowhere to be found, even resorting to cursing.
Chu Xiaoli finally adjusted to the pain, but tears still fell. "Xiao Chen... let go... let go of me! It hurts!"
Hearing her cry out in pain, Xiao Chen released her as if he'd touched something scalding. Seeing the bruises already forming on her jaw, regret flickered in his dark eyes, but he regained some composure. "Chu Xiaoli, you have three minutes to explain your relationship with Xiao Jie."
Chu Xiaoli, now provoked to anger herself, coldly smirked. "He's my boyfriend. What? Do you want to meddle in a couple's business too? Or do you think you have the right?"
“Am I not qualified?” Xiao Chen narrowed his dark eyes, a smirk forming as he spoke. “Xiaoli, I’ll have the people around you tell you if I’m qualified or not!”
“You!” Xiaoli was furious. “Is threatening me all you can do?”
“If you want me to stop, it’s simple. Just do as I say...” Xiao Chen leaned in close, whispering softly in her ear, “For example, leave Xiao Jie.”
“In your dreams!” Xiaoli tried to push him away, but he held her tightly, his subtle scent enveloping her. She struggled fiercely in his arms, regretting not having taken those self-defense classes.
“Xiaoli, if you keep being difficult, you’ll put me in a tough spot.” Xiao Chen’s voice was gentle, but his eyes were cold and ruthless. “Like deciding what to do with your family. It’s not an easy decision, right, Xiaoli?”
“Xiao Chen! If you have a problem, take it out on me... why involve my family?”
“I’d love to focus on you, but Xiaoli, I can’t bring myself to hurt you. So, your loved ones might have to bear the burden.” Xiao Chen feigned distress, his voice soft. “So, it’s better if you listen and leave Xiao Jie. I can give you everything I have.”
He wouldn’t hurt her? Xiaoli smirked sarcastically. “Xiao Chen, keep dreaming. I’m not interested in anything you offer.”
Footsteps approached the door, and before Xiaoli could react, Xiao Chen swiftly pulled her into a stall in the women’s restroom, locking it behind them.
“Didn’t expect you to be the type who sneaks into women’s restrooms,” Xiaoli mocked coldly.
Xiao Chen narrowed his eyes, leaning closer to catch her scent. “Xiaoli, don’t provoke me. Be sensible and leave Xiao Jie.”
"What if I don't?" Xiaoli's smile was enchanting, like a blooming red rose. "You know... I've known Jie for a long time... I love him so much, how could I bear to... ah!"
As soon as she uttered the words "love him," Xiao Chen's dark eyes flared with intensity. Suddenly, he leaned down and bit the back of her neck, hard enough that a faint taste of blood filled his mouth. Hearing Xiaoli's cry of pain, he eased his grip, his agile tongue soothing the bite mark. Gradually... he wanted more, his lips trailing down to her collarbone, kissing and nibbling with abandon.
