C12 Personal Feelings

No one had ever talked to Loren like that before, so the atmosphere was heavy.

Lenora subconsciously held Loren's hand.

Contrary to her expectations, Loren didn't get angry. Instead, he looked at Jeremiah and said indifferently, "I hope your ability is worthy of your arrogance." He nodded and his voice was even colder than his own. "I'll handle the reward."

Jeremiah did not say anything grand. Seeing that he had agreed, he turned around and called for his men, "Qiao Shan, take over the data analysis. T-Bone, prepare to enter the mountain." Then he turned to Ms. Fang and said, "The police will not move. Do you have the name list of the civilian rescue team?"

Lettie and Lenora were old friends. Because of the latter's request, they had been trying their best to find the best rescue personnel they knew.

She had high hopes for Jeremiah. When she heard him ask, she quickly replied, "Yes." She quietly gathered all the rescue team members' names and handed them to Loren.

There were 250 people. Other than the rescue team from the police, there were 140 professional rescue team members.

That was good. In such a bad weather, it was obvious that Loren, Lenora, and Ramon had put in a lot of effort.

However, the weather was not good. In the past, even if it rained in Vlertol, it would stop soon. However, that day, the rain never stopped. Even though the rain was a little bit weaker, it was still heavy.

The fog was heavy, as if it was covered by smoke.

There were a hundred and forty people in the rescue team, and twenty of them were still in camp number two.

Aside from the people who were injured or had other reasons to not participate in the rescue, there was not much room left for Jeremiah to choose.

Even so, he still had to call for the leaders of each team. Loren announced that due to safety concerns, the search and rescue operation would be suspended, and the bounty would be canceled. Those who had already retreated and did not listen to the arrangements would not receive any payment.

This was a matter of life and death. The leaders all expressed their understanding. After all, the weather was too bad.

However, there were a few people who could not help but remind him, "The weather is so bad. If we keep dragging this on, I'm worried that Ms. Allison's situation will become even more difficult."

No one would guess that she was already dead. After all, everyone's goal was to save her.

But what if she was injured?

In the rain, in the deep forest, or on the plateau, being injured was no different from being trapped.

Loren understood the meaning behind the leader's words. His eyebrows sank as he paused for a moment before he said calmly, "So, Carlson of the Oasis Rescue Team, out of his own personal feelings, organized his men to enter the mountains. I did not refuse. I also hope that Carlson can win and find her."

Jeremiah was speechless.

What personal feelings? What the hell?

Everyone looked at him with strange expressions.

Jeremiah stood up and said, "Good morning, everyone. I'm Jeremiah, the captain of the Oasis Rescue Team." He stood up and said in a steady and forceful voice, "I need the best team members who are good at mountain rescue. I wonder if anyone here is interested in joining me. If you can help me recommend some people, I would like to challenge the most difficult part of the mountain rescue."

The effect was not bad. In other words, those who could raise a flag and help out in the wilderness were all hot-blooded people.

Jeremiah selected thirty-two people from the group and added the ones from the Oasis. There were exactly forty people.

As for Ophelia, he did not let her participate.

She was his grandfather's daughter. It was already the limit for her to follow him to train. If he let her go to the mountains to rescue in the rain, he was afraid that his grandfather would fight with him if anything happened.

Therefore, before they set off, he called Ophelia over.

Ophelia had already recovered from the shock from the disappearance of Claire. She looked serious and tried her best to make herself look like a qualified member of the rescue team.

After entering, she said, "Reporting, the Oasis Rescue Team member, Ophelia, has arrived."

Jeremiah looked at her and took out a set of ropes from his bag. He put it in his hand and said, "Aunt."

Ophelia opened her eyes wide. "Damn! Why did you suddenly call me like that?"

Jeremiah said, "If she is safe and sound this time, I promise you that I will never blacken her again. I will use my big mouth to praise her."

Ophelia was pleasantly surprised. "Really?"

The boss was her idol, and she had been troubled for a long time. It would be better if she could get along with him.

She was being insatiable. "Can you give me a month of praise?"

Jeremiah said without hesitation, "Yes!"

The result was too beautiful. Before Ophelia could accept it, she had to face the cruel reality.

Jeremiah had tied her up with a rope.

Ophelia was speechless.
