"Go....Good morning, Sir." Cynthia stammered as she rose to her feet, upon sighting her Boss, Connor.

"Update!!" He snapped at her.

"The meeting with the Wahlia's. I tried to reschedule with them but they insisted that they would wait till you come."

"They are in the conference room, Sir."

"I'll see them in 15 minutes."

"Okay, sir."

"What else?"

"Four calls came in for you. All very important Sir. I told them we would get back to them before the end of the day." The secretary said at a go.

"I'll take them after the meeting."

"Okay, sir."

"Anything else?"

"Miss Alicia said she had some really important stuff to discuss with you."

"Tell her to fuck off." Connor was about to take his leave but stopped when her voice came through.

"I tried to tell her Mr. Martin. I tried my best but She was able to get past your office while I was on call, attending to the clients."

"You're fired!!!" Connor answered, resuming his steps.

"Please Sir, Don't fire me." She took quick steps, running after him.

"Fuck off!" He said without even looking at her after which he made his way to his office.

"Hi, baby," Alicia's high-pitched voice welcomed him the moment he stepped into his luxurious office. Being the head of Martin Incorporations gave him the opportunity of having the best office in the whole building. It was spacious and of course had a working space as well as a visiting area for informal meetings and a glass wall that gave a beautiful view of the city.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was worried, my love." She said as she approached him with the sounds of her heels kissing the floor.

"I tried calling your phone but your number wasn't going through. It was only when I called your driver that I calmed down a bit. He said you all haven't left the mansion yet."

"But don't worry, baby. I've spoken to the Whalia's and they are not angry about the meeting being delayed."

"First of all, stop calling me baby." He said, shrugging her hand away from his face as she was about to touch it. "And how the hell did you get my driver's number? He's so fired for letting you know my whereabouts."

"Stop being so ridiculous. He felt I was freaking out so he needed to tell me the truth. I was really worried about you, baby." She whispered the last statement, eventually caressing his face."

"What the hell are you wearing?" He stared at her in full.

"You like?"

She was putting on a wine camisole which was really revealing by the way. Half of her boobs were literally out and even though she was wearing a matching jacket, she refused to do the button and Yeah she paired it with a pencil skirt. A very tight one by the way which enhanced all her shape, especially her ass.

"Was this how you met the investors?"

"I buttoned up. I only undid it because you are here and all of this is for you." She took his hand and literally placed it on her boob.

"I carefully selected my outfit today. My skirt may seem tight but it's very stretchy. You can just raise it up and bend me over your desk. Let us have a quicky before you start your meeting."

"You realize I can get you fired for this?" He looked down at her, more like staring into her boobs since he was taller than her and that was what She was throwing at his face.

"Stop being so stubborn, Connor. I know you want this as much as I do. You can go rough and hard on me. I won't complain. I promise."

He removed his hand from her boobs despite her struggling for them to remain there.

"You of all people know how easily I lose my temper."

She stared back at him with innocent eyes.

"It was just a one-time thing and it will never happen again. I don't get involved with my staff and I wonder why I did it with you in the first place."

"You like me and that's why we fucked. Stop being so unfair to me by depriving me of what I deserve. Or are you rejecting me because of Diane?"

"Don't be unfair. You know I'm better than her." She said, literally pushing herself against him.

"How are you better than her?"

"I'm more beautiful and obviously more intelligent and I can tell I'm better in bed than she is."

"We fucked because I badly needed a release and you were the only one available. It was a one-time thing and I promise you that it won't happen again so enough with all of the flirting. It's beginning to irritate me."

"Don't do this to me, Connor. I love you so much." Tears started to well up in her eyes.

"And I think I love you too. That's why I haven't fired you. I'd behave myself if I were you. Now excuse me, I have a meeting to prepare for." Connor finally left her side and went to his desk area.

"I'm not going to give up on you!!!" She glared at him before storming out of his office.

Connor rolled his eyes as she helped herself out.

A thought came into his mind and before he forgot, he decided to let it all out. He pressed the intercom and almost immediately, his secretary appeared before him.

"Good morning, sir." She mumbled the moment she stood before his desk as if they didn't just meet.

"What did you get for Diane last year?"

Understanding what he was talking about, She replied. "You bought her her dream car and took her on a date to her favorite restaurant."

"Get her flowers."

"Flowers and what?"

"Excuse me?" He frowned at her.

"I.. I was asking what you want to give her with the flowers."

"How is it your problem? You want to add something to it?"

"Sorry, sir. I'll just do as you've said."

"A....anything else before I take my leave."

Connor glared at her.

.........................

"Hi mom," Nadia smiled, approaching her mother by the dining table.

"The love of my life is here."

Nadia chuckled, engulfing her mother in a hug "Don't let your husband hear you."

"Oh, I'm sure he will understand." She returned Nadia's hug.

"You look stressed."

.

"Yeah, just a bit tired from today. I'm glad I have tomorrow off."

"And how's my granddaughter doing?"

"She's fine. I'll probably bring her during the weekend so Charles and I can have some time to ourselves."

"Of course you know we would be glad to have her here so you and Charles can get busy with making another baby."

"Mom!" Nadia groaned.

"What?" Lilian shrugged innocently. "You can't blame me for wanting so many grandkids. Besides, Lenora is grown now and I'm sure she wants a younger sibling."

"Calm down, Mom." Nadia tried to hide her blush. "It will definitely happen but not anytime soon. Just one more and I'm done."

"No. Three more."

Nadia rolled her eyes at her mother.

"You should be grateful God wanted me to have just two kids. If not, you would be a big sister to seven more siblings." Lilian teased her daughter. She loved kids and it was second to none. She and her husband tried to make more babies after Connor but luck wasn't on their side.

"Gosh, I can't imagine. Connor is a handful already. It will be deadly having six of him."

Lilian laughed. "I don't think so because everyone will have their own personality and I'm sure they won't all be boys. Besides you and Connor used to be best buddies. You need me to remind you of the silly stuff you guys did together?"

Nadia smiled.

"Yeah. I love the bond you guys used to have. I still don't understand what went wrong between you both."

"Well, we talk sometimes."

"That's not good enough."

"Not my fault. It's so hard to get a hold of him nowadays."

"Yeah, he uses work as an excuse all the time."

"But I still believe you have a special place in his heart. All you need to do is sit him down and talk some sense to him."

"I'll find time. By the way, where is he?"

"He should be here anytime soon, I hope," Lilian answered.

"I hope so too. You know how Dad freaks out whenever any one of us is late to a gathering like this."

"By the way, what's this meeting about?" Nadia couldn't help but ask.

"I'm just as clueless as you are. But I hope it's good news."

Just after Lilian gave her reply, they were interrupted by a familiar face.

"Good evening Ma," She greeted Lilian and her daughter. "The food is ready, ma. Should we go ahead to set up the table?"

"Good to hear and yes, you can start setting up."

Nancy nodded. She was about to take her leave when her Boss's voice stopped her. "Are you okay? You seem to be a little off today."

"I'm fine ma'am" She whispered with a smile that didn't reach her lips.

"Is everything fine back home? Do you need some time off?"

"No ma'am, everything is good. I just have a slight headache."

"You should have said so. You can take the rest of the day off after setting the table."

"Thanks, ma'am." She bowed a little before excusing herself.

"She looks so young," Nadia mumbled.

"She's in her early twenties."

"She's still young."

Lilian shrugged. "She's hardworking."

"There's just something about her."

"You've seen her before?" Lilian asked her daughter even though she was sure that it was almost impossible.

"No. There's just something so sweet about her appearance and the way she talked."

Lilian stared at her daughter suspiciously. "Don't tell me you're now into women."

"Mom!!!" She rolled her eyes. "Of course not."

"She's just one of those people that you take a liking to on first impression."

"You're right. She's got that charm. One of the reasons I hired her."

"Sadly, your brother doesn't think that way."

"He got issues with her?"

"He looked like someone that wanted to strangle her this morning. He said her presence upsets him and he doesn't want her to be in charge of cleaning his room anymore."

"He's so weird."

"He definitely is. By the way, I think we should call him. I think I left my phone in the living room."

"Oh, mine is in the car. I purposely left it."

"Good. I hardly see you so now that you're here, I want your undivided attention. Let's go join your father. He should be in the study room."

Nadia scrunched her nose. " He still works?"

"Sometimes. But not today. I guess he's answering a call.
