C74 Meeting The New Alpha

Zions P.O.V.

After Rain's freak out about not having anything that fits and not being able to find the folder for the plans for the orphanage remodel, I finally got her calmed down. Mia knocks, and I let her into the suite. She hands me the dress for Rain, and I ask her to stay for a moment. She nods, and I take the dress to Rain. When she's dressed, we walk out to the living room to discuss the move with Mia.

"Thank you for the dress." Rain says. "I can't fit anything I have."

"Oh my, your bump has grown quite quickly," Mia says, looking at Rain's growing belly.

"Yeah, it was a shock for me too." She says with a light laugh.

"Mia, I asked you to stay because we need to discuss something," I say, and her body freezes.

"Have I done something wrong, my King?" She asks nervously.

"Not at all." Rain says as she rushes over to her, placing her hand on Mia's arm.

"I was going to ask you if you would like to move to the Blue River Pack today?" I say, and she gasps.

"Are you sure you are okay with me leaving on such short notice?" She asks us.

"I've already gotten your transfer paperwork all filled out. It's only missing your signature. We're leaving for the pack in a few hours and thought you could ride with us." I say, and she lights up.

"Thank you!" She manages to say through her tears.

"You have been an amazing member of this pack, Mia. We wish you nothing but happiness." I say as she lunges at me, pulling me into a hug. Normally, I wouldn't allow such actions, but since she has been so good to Rain and Odett, I will allow it. "We will be leaving for the pack in three hours. Can you be packed by then?"

"Absolutely." She answers quickly.

"We will let you know when it's time to leave," I tell her, and she nods.

"Thank you both!" She says with excitement as she leaves the suite.

"Are you ready for our first meeting?" I ask Rain.

"Yup, I'm ready to go." She says. "Oh, I need to let my mother know we'll be leaving soon."

"Already done. I texted Lady Ezmerelda this morning after Stephanie picked up Odett." I say with a laugh as I open the door, and we walk out.

"Thank you. I meant to text her last night." She says as we walk down the stairs.

We make it to my office and wait for the contractors to arrive. I hand Rain the folder so she can review everything I changed before they are given to the contractors. After about twenty minutes, they arrive. We discuss the shelters, and the contractors explain where they think we should build the shelters for better access in case of an emergency. After deciding on placement and size, we move on to the plans for the orphanage remodel. The contractors promised that it could all be done within a month and a half, which doesn't surprise me since I've seen them build apartments from the ground up in less than three months. We sign off on all plans, and they leave.

"Now all that's left is to talk to Eithan and his mate Morgan, and we can leave," I tell Rain as she stands up to stretch.

"Okay, but I have to pee first." She says, making me laugh. "Don't laugh. Your kids are trying to use my bladder as a punching bag."

"Oh, so they're my kids?" I ask with a smile.

"Only when they're doing something like this. When they're sweet and loving, they're mine." She says, shrugging her shoulder while laughing as she walks to the private bathroom attached to my office.

There's a knock at the door as Rain walks out of the bathroom. I tell them to enter as she walks back to me and sits on my lap. Mathew opens the door, greeting us with a bow as Eithan and Morgan follow in behind him.

"Nice to see you, cousin," I say to either.

"Been a while." He says as he shakes my hand.

"Let me introduce my mate and Queen, Rain," I say.

"Pleaser to meet the woman responsible for finally getting him to settle down." He says as he bows to Rain, and she laughs. "This is my mate, Morgan."

"It's nice to meet you, finally," I say.

"It's a pleasure to meet the King and Queen." She says as she sits down beside Eithan.

"Let's get down to business, shall we? I assume you have been filled in on the rogue issue?" I ask, and he nods.

"Yes. Mathew filled me in on the situation. You know we will stand with you against them." He says.

"I appreciate that, but I've asked you here for a different reason," I say, and he looks at me, confused. "I have a pack in need of a new Alpha and Luna, and I would like to offer the two of you the positions."

"Seriously?" He asks in excitement as Morgan sits quietly in complete shock.

"Mathew has vouched for you and has been training you for the position for a while. We think you would be a great fit to get the pack back on track." I say with a smile. "There have been some issues with the pack recently, and we need someone we can trust to run it and work on it from the inside out."

"It would be an honor. When would I need to be at the pack?" He asks, and Mathew laughs.

"We leave for the pack in less than an hour. The Beta and Gamma have been in charge of preparing for your arrival and are eager to have an honest and loyal Alpha and Luna for their pack." I tell him.

"Sounds like a plan." He says with a smile.

"This is an amazing opportunity, my King. Thank you for this." Morgan says as she finally snaps out of her shock.

"You are very welcome. We will need to stop in town on the way out to get my mate more clothes." I tell them, and they look at me questionably. She stands up and straightens her dress over her growing belly.

"You have grown quite a bit overnight," Mathew says in confusion.

"How is that possible?" Morgan asks in amazement.

"We're not really sure. The doctor believes the twins are growing faster than normal because of the multiple royal bloodlines along with me being a hybrid ." She answers them, and they gawk at her.

"That's amazing," Morgan says with a huge smile.

After talking more about Rain's pregnancy and filling Eithan in on the situation with the Blue River Pack and its former Alpha and Luna, Mia knocks on the door and lets us know she is packed and ready to leave. I introduce her to Eithan and Morgan, informing them that she is Gamma Nick's new mate. We all walk out to the castle entrance, where Sam and Odett await us. We say goodbye to them as Rain, Mia, and I climb into my Jeep while Mathew, Eithan, and Morgan get into their vehicle, following behind us.

About twenty minutes into our trip, I decided to stop at a small shopping strip, helping Rain out of the passenger seat. Morgan joins us, asking if she could join Rain and Mia as they do some shopping. Rain agrees quickly, and I hand her my bank card, apologizing that her card hasn't come in yet.

"It's fine. I don't need a card, anyway." She says with a laugh as she kisses me, and they walk into one of the shops.

"So, the Queen is a hybrid?" Eithan asks, and I nod.

"Yes, her mother is the former Witch King's daughter, and her father was an Alpha," I tell him.

"That's amazing." He says.

"Just wait till you see her wolf fight," Mathew says, letting out a laugh.

"It's definitely a sight to see, but I hope she doesn't need to fight again," I say, and Eithan looks at me questionably as if he's asking for an explanation.

"We were attacked by Douglas' army while leading the wolf run after our mating ceremony," I say, and he nods in understanding. "Not only is she an incredible healer, but she's also a talented fighter. Even without being trained, she took out multiple rogues."

"Wow, that's something I would like to see." He says, making Mathew laugh once again.

"Not to mention, her wolf is beautiful and almost as big as me," Ryker says with a smile, hoping that he will be able to run with her soon.

"Let's try to wait till the pups are born," I tell him as the ladies walk out of one store and head to the next store. Rain sees us watching and waves while carrying bags.

"Maybe we should go carry her bags for her," Ryker says while laughing. "No telling how many bags she will end up with."

"She can buy as much as she wants," I tell him as I walk into the store behind Rain, taking her bags for her.
