C3 Prologue: Part 3 - Final The Plead of an Assassin

“Harrumph, look at him. He looks so sure... But whatever.” Another sigh escapes from my mouth.

His grin fades and suddenly looks serious, “Sad life ain't? Always feeling like you're letting lose but can never shake off the feeling of having shackles... You're only getting paid to do satisfy the system... You can't even retort, you just follow the bells because you have nowhere else to go... A full pocket but an empty heart, sad sad life. You see... you and me... Are not so different.”

“Oh, this shit again. Listen dogman, don't look at my eyes looking for life. That's why I'm here. These eyes have no answers for you. You think these are the eyes of a killer? You're wrong. These are the eyes of someone who is not afraid to lose and thus has no confliction when letting go of things. Whether if it is your life or mine. It makes no difference. You think I'm here for information of the one who held your leash, you're wrong again. I'm your coroner, one wrong move and I can instantly become your cremator, savy?”

The dogman's eyes shine coming to a realization, “So you are one...” Then suddenly the room's atmosphere changes. “I'll drop the act...” His eyes dropped and he went from the cool and popular guy to a cold face that even developed a bit of paleness.

Then he fucking smiles again, leaning on the back of the chair revealing a giant smirk! “But I gada say, you must have a pretty strong mind, no one has ever made it this far. Scratch that. You definitely have a strong mind. Hehe, tell me. How did you do it?”

I fucking hate this dogman. Somehow a deep sigh escaped from my mouth. Gently I put the tablet on the table and smiled, feeling a raging headache crawl towards me.

_Whack!_ My body moved on its own and I was already sitting down after punching the dogman in the nose.

“Relax man! I was just joking! You should have said that you don't want to talk.”

Just as I thought, it didn't work. “Nothing ever works out for me.” His nose wasn't even a shade of pink; I thought I fucking punched him for fuck's sake!

“Dogman, age; unknown(Estimated to be between 24 and 34 years of age) lazy fucks. High level assassin; 6 feet tall. Unknown hair color, eye color and origin. Estimated to have been on the field for the past 7 years, count; unknown, affiliation; unknown. Did I miss anything?”

“Yeah, I'm about 6`2 or something.” That was not a question.

“Whatever, tell me dogman, why'd you turn yourself in? To us?”

He shrugs indifferently, “Didn't you say you're my cremator? I've come to meet you.”

“We don't offer confessions and counseling.” Fucking hell…

“They said you do, that's why I'm here... What I used to be grew a tail and that tail left a trail. Do you know what I'm saying?” For the first time he actually answered a question that I actually asked.

“You must've hit rock bottom. Whatever. Why did you pull the plug?” Wondered how I knew about assassins, hitmen and all that, simple; it's my job to know.

That's the whole point: seeing them off. These people cut themselves off from the world taking on the roles of executioners, no emotions, no remorse. But that doesn't mean they're dead, even with their eyes looking coldly into their victims they still feel something. Whether if it's happiness, regret or sadness.

“Give a starved man a glass of water out of goodwill and he'll give you his life's worth.” That's the intent behind it all. Of course we're not talking about their money. No, we're talking about information.

Just like how we want to covertly bring peace there are some who covertly want to bring chaos. But unlike us they don't wait for something to happen, they are the main characters, they start things on their own. So we need the plot.

By the plot I mean information, from their "sidekicks" and this guy could be considered to be the right hand man of the main character; we hope.

“Man's greatest succubus: Love.” He's serious again; now we're getting somewhere. He continues, “It's good for the moment, but the fallout will drag you to hell itself.” The dogman grins, flashing shame through his whole expression.

“Religious?” Everyone fears hell when they hit the edge but for the religious ones it is more than fear; we don’t know what it is but it is great. Actually some chose to come to us under its influence; hoping to repent. Honestly, they’re the most annoying.

“Nah, it's a reference. Tell me doc. Are you willing to listen to my story of how I sank to the deepest side of the ocean?”

“That's my job dogman.”

“Well thank you in advance.”
