C6 WHAT HAPPENED NEXT

GINNY'S POV)

I could see Josh coming nearer to me. His hands were held high up and I didn't have to think twice before I knew what he was going to do.

Josh was coming to hit me to get back at me for cheating with Willy. I felt so cheated that Josh didn't care about my own feelings. He didn't even let me explain.

I wasn't ready to have my face fully battered with blood. With this crazy mindset of mine, I dived away from him just as he threw his fist towards me. Josh didn't manage to hit me. Instead, his hand hit the wall.

I saw Josh bend in pain.

"Hah!" Josh screamed. He knelt down and gripped his hand. It must hurt a lot to hit one's hand against the wall. I knew Josh was going to fully blame me for that.

Of course, I was partly at fault. If I hadn't cheated, then all these wouldn't have happened. What I didn't want to agree with was Josh blaming me for everything without hearing my own side of the story.

"I hope you are pleased now. You have succeeded in breaking my hand," Josh told me. He was still in serious pain. He held his hand like a golden egg and blew air on it. I pitied him a bit but my mind fought against it. For goodness sake, Josh's fist was aiming for my face before.

"I didn't mean to," I said again. I didn't know if I was the one controlling my heart cause I felt like I was being maneuvered against my decision. In any case, I had already spoken. I couldn't possibly take it back.

"Don't tell me that!" Josh screamed at me. "You are the cause of my wound. You were the one who injured me."

I didn't like that.

"No, I didn't," I told Josh sincerely. "I wasn't the one who injured you and you know it. Stop lying against me."

Josh was looking very angry now. His eyes shone in fury and I wondered what I could do to neutralize what was coming. I could tell that all bad thoughts were working in Josh's mind. If care wasn't taken, I was going to lose some teeth.

"Ginny," Josh called carefully and looked at me. "Did you just talk back to me?"

"I am sorry," I apologized carefully. My heart was beating quite hard.

"You have so much guts, Ginny and I are the cause," Josh admitted widely. His face was still shining in fury. I could tell that something unpleasant was on its way, coming for me.

"I am sorry, Josh. Please forgive me," I hurriedly begged. I could take everything but I didn't want to have Josh hit me. If Josh really made up his mind to hit me, I wouldn't have any chance to stand against him. I had to be calm and beg for thorough forgiveness.

"You are so funny, Ginny. You really amaze me," Josh said again without minding all the words I had poured out to him.

"I am sorry," I apologized again. "I will never try something like that again. It really won't happen again."

Josh started to laugh wildly. He was looking so horrible. I felt like telling him but my mind couldn't make that fierce decision. Instead of doing that, I watched Josh mock me.

"So that means that you can actually beg me," Josh finally started after a whole round of laughter. "I thought your pride weighed more than that."

"I am not prideful, Josh," I started to defend myself again. I didn't know how those words slipped out of my mouth. I knew those words would spark off another controversy which I wasn't ready for.

"What did you just say?" Josh asked upon hearing me closely enough.

"No, I am sorry," I apologized again.

Josh didn't seem to care. He was just lost in his own horizons.

"That didn't answer my question, Ginny. I am still waiting for your answer," Josh told me carefully. He was wearing an "I DON'T CARE' look. Normally, I would have felt like slapping the expression off his face but right now, I was way too keyed up to bother giving too much attention to any kind of facial expression that Josh had on. I was still seeking for Josh's forgiveness, I wasn't ready to have any more troubles with Josh.

"Well, I didn't mean to say that," I said seriously. "It was a slip of tongue."

Josh started to laugh wildly. He was so indifferent to my emotions at that moment. One thing I could say for sure was that Josh was so caught up in my betrayal that nothing else seemed to matter to him. I was so stunned at this reaction of his.

"You should consider being a jester, Ginny. It would surely suit you," Josh offered slowly with mild anger visible from his expression.

"Don't say that, Josh," I told Josh kindly.

"Shut your mouth up, slut," Josh screamed at me.

"Calm down, Josh. I know I am at fault but…" I tried to say but Josh cut me off prematurely.

"I don't want to hear anything from you. You are an evil slut and you irritate me," Josh told me angrily. His breath was just like wasps of air now. He was looking so worked up.

Josh just called me a slut. But wait, wasn't I a slut?

I have just mated with another person who wasn't my mate. Surely, it was only a slut that does things that way.

"I am a slut," I said with my voice breaking off on the way.

"Yeah, you are absolutely correct," Josh said to me with his voice high. "You are a slut and an evil one at that. You can't get yourself out of this mess no matter what excuses you forge."

"Can you just listen to me? You haven't even tried to listen to my explanation. Try to listen to me before you blame me for my impulsive move," I told Josh. Even with all my talking, I didn't pierce Josh's heart enough. He just continued to look at me indifferently.

Then slowly, his expression seemed to change. He watched me slowly and pondered on what I had just said. It was probably eating deep in his heart.

"What do you have to explain?" Josh asked me gently.

"The whole thing wasn't my fault," I claimed in a bid to prove myself.

Josh seemed tired of me. His face was looking weary. I think I was forgetting something serious. I wasn't supposed to be stressing Josh. I was the one at the defense section. I shouldn't make any other movement which could offend Josh. It was hard enough to convince him. If I got him to hate me then nothing was going to work out.

"I am tired of all your explanations," Josh told me hurriedly. "You are just saying the same thing."

I was also darn tired. I had got to convey my feelings to Josh as quickly as I could.

"Calm down, Josh. If you would have shut up for five seconds together then you would have heard me trying to tell you of the whole story," I told Josh quickly.

"Hmm," Josh sighed. "No problem, I am listening to you perfectly."

"Okay," I started. "I got into one of my little turns. I was having a terrible stomach ache and I needed to have sex to cure the stomach ache. You weren't around and I had only Willy available. And with no other option, I had to have sex with Willy."

Josh listened to me carefully and after listening, he burst into a loud laughter. I watched him embarrass me with his laughter. I didn't care much about Josh's laughter. My mind was built around hearing Josh's reply.

"Are you listening to yourself?" Josh asked me with his face still showing the remains of his undiluted laughter.

"I don't understand you, Josh," I told Josh slowly. And truly, I didn't understand Josh at all.

"I meant what you heard," Josh told me slowly. "Do you think I will believe your story? It's simply outrageous and unbelievable."

I gazed at Josh surprisingly. He didn't look like he believed me at all. His face was so indifferent to all I had been saying.

"I am not lying," I started to tell Josh. "It's completely true. You can ask Willy to confirm that fact."

"Just shut it!" Josh shouted at me.

"But…" I tried to say but I was cut short by Josh again.

"Your story is baseless…" Josh told me.

"But…" I said again.

"... And untrue," Josh said again.

"Calm down, Josh," I tried again.

"But I don't want to…" Josh told me slowly.

I looked at Josh slowly. I didn't have any negative feelings. I could tell that Josh was at a point of decision making.

"Ginny," Josh called me slowly.

"Yes," I replied. I was still frightened.

"I will have to make a decision about us," Josh told me.

"I am listening," I replied.

"You have proved not to be a trustworthy mate and with that, I have decided to…" Josh said.

My heart skipped a beat.
