C11 Red Rose

The preparation leave passed a little too early. It was the day of their first exam. Both of them went to college in the anticipation of meeting each other.

Raghav Pov

I was on cloud nine today. Today after so many days I will be able to meet my girl. Just then I spotted a flower shop. A single red rose stick would suffice.

" Oh my God, Raghav, you bought a red rose to wish me luck." Rashi was grinning. Her smile reached her eyes. I smacked my forehead for forgetting that she was with me. I felt bad for disappointing her.

" Sorry, dear sis but this is not for you." I felt guilty after seeing her smile drop. Suddenly her face lights up and the grin is back as if she realized something.

" Is she someone special? Do I know her? " She smacked my shoulder playfully. The moment I nodded. She raised her hands in the air in joy. Her eyes beamed with happiness.

" Don't assume anything. She is just a friend." I clarified her misunderstanding. I still don't know the status of our relationship. I'm planning to change after the exams.

After parking my car in the parking lot, I started searching for my angry queen. My heart began beating erratically when I spotted the familiar white car. She was getting out. She was looking out of the world wearing a blue shirt paired with white palazzo pants. Her hair was tied in a messy bun. A strand of her hair that had escaped her bun was draping her rosy cheeks. Pink lipgloss was adorning her plumpy kissable lips. A snap of my fingers brought me out of my dreamland.

"What are you dreaming of, Mr. stranger? Come out of your dreamland else you would be late for the exam." I was so engrossed that I didn't realize when she came near me.

" I was waiting for you. Best of luck." I gave the rose to her and hugged her. Her cheeks matched the color of the rose. She gave me a shy smile and wished me a kiss on my cheek and ran away. My angry queen has become a red rose.

"Yeah. " I closed my fist and tossed my arm in the air. Joy filled my heart. Now that I know her feelings, I will make things official after the exams. I could still feel her alluring lips on my cheek.

Angry Queen Pov

Today was my first exam and while getting ready a certain someone was occupying my thoughts. I wished I could meet him before exams. The moment I got down my heart leaped with joy. My devilishly handsome hottie was standing at the rear side of his car. It should be a crime to look so handsome. His six-pack abs were bulging out from his light yellow button-down shirt. His hair was scattered on his forehead. The top two opened shirt buttons revealed his fair, toned chest. It looks like he was lost somewhere. I went near him and snapped my fingers. He was perplexed at seeing me. We talked and after a lot of courage, I pecked his cheeks and ran away. I was feeling shy. I could still feel the intoxicating smell of his cologne.

Back at the Mansion

Rani Gayatri Devi was sitting in the living room waiting for Kavya to be back from her preschool. It was her first day which worried her a little.

Gayatri Pov

That must be Jai with Kavya. I can hear the halting of the car.

"Rani sa two ladies have come to meet you. Shall I show them in?" One of the guards asked me.

"Ladies! That was not Jai's car." I was not expecting anyone. I thought Jai was back.

" Did they say who they are or why they are here? " I was confronting him when I saw Deepti and her daughter Mala entering.

" Rani sa, they are here?" The guard pointed in the direction of my friend.

" You didn't let them in? Don't you recognize them? " I felt bad for her. She comes here regularly. I was furious at the bluntness of the guard.

" Sorry Rani sa, I have joined today itself. Please don't fire me, I desperately need this job." He bowed in front of me. His hands were folded and his eyes were glistening with tears. I am not so stone-hearted that I would snatch someone's job for such a petty issue. I warned him and sent him away as I had guests to attend to.

Seeing a stroller in Mala's hand I was surprised.

"Are you going somewhere?"

" No, actually we are going out of the country for a fortnight. Due to company policy, we can't take Mala with us and we can't leave her here all alone. If you don't mind, I would like to leave her here under your care.." Deepti had a sullen look.

" Aunty, please. I am scared to live all alone in the mansion." Mala took Gayatris's hand in her hand. Her eyes were glassy and a lone tear slipped from her eye.

" You are always welcome dear. I will enjoy your company. As such, I feel lonely here." I caressed her cheek lovingly. Although I was not getting good vibes from her.

I know Deepti wants Mala to marry Jai and if I am not mistaken, she has brought Mala so that both can get accustomed. I don't know why but I don't get positive vibes from her. She seems so fake. Even Kavya doesn't feel comfortable around her. My thoughts were broken by a hand wrapped around my knee. I looked down to find the apple of my eye standing with arms around my knee.

"Dadi, I'm back. You know there were two, fouls and too many fends. " She stretched both her hands to tell me about her friends. I picked her up and kissed her cheeks.

" My sweetie, did you enjoy your first day in school? Did you play with your friends?" She nodded her head. Mala came near me.

" Hello, Kavya. Come baby let me hold you." Kavya hid her face in the crook of my neck and refused to go.

" Mala, dear, why don't you go and freshen up? In the meantime let me get my sweetie pie to freshen up. Deepti why don't you join Mala and then we all will have lunch together. Jai, will you have your lunch here or should I get it packed?" I heaved a breath.

" Ma, I have to attend a lunch meeting. I need to pick a file from my study and then I will leave." Jai climbed the stairs and went to his study.

Third-person pov

" I'm leaving you here. Seduce Jai in every possible way. Make him fall for your charms. Try to coax Kavya, if she accepts you then Jai will accept you. Make me proud." Deepti sat on the bed and whispered everything to her. She was desperate to marry her daughter to Jai.

" Mom, don't worry. You know men go mad over me. One look from me and they are on their knees, so mom don't worry and be happy." She grinned from ear to ear. A smile that would send chills down the spine.
