C6 Chapter Six

Chapter Six:

Fiona POV:

"Good morning, Uncle Victor." I greeted him cheerfully.

"Good morning, Fiona. I hope you slept well?" Uncle Victor inquired.

"Yes, Uncle." I answered him.

"Would you want some sandwiches? I am going to make some for myself." I asked him.

"Never mind, I would be having breakfast at work." He told me.

"Two sandwiches in a small snack box would not hurt, Uncle." I told him again.

"Okay, just save that for Anderson. It seems he is still in bed." Uncle Victor replied.

Oh, talking about Anderson. I have not seen him since he arrived." I said worried.

"He has been in his room since he arrived." He told me.

"That would not be a problem, I would check up on him later." Fiona said.

"Bye, Uncle!" I waved Uncle goodbye as he left.

Anderson's POV:

***Knock on the door. **

"Who must it be?" I muttered under my breath as I moved to open the door.

"Hi, I am Fiona." She introduced herself.

"Oh. Okay..." I said confused.

"You may not know me, but I am Mr. Lawson's daughter... late..." She added.

"Oh! Come in... come in." I said as I let her into my room.

"Thank you." Fiona told me as walked into my room.

"Uh! Your dad told you got back recently, so I decided to make you some sandwiches and to say hello to you." She explained.

"Thank you." I said as I collected the little tray with sandwiches and a cup of tea on it.

"I would see you later then." Fiona said as she turned to leave.

"So soon! We have not even gotten to know you." I said with a smirk.

"Make yourself comfortable please." I told Fiona.

**1 hour later, we've gotten to know each other a little. **

"I need to get to Uncle Victor company to see him." She told me as she stood up to leave.

"Oh! I should not keep you waiting then." I told her as she left.

"It would not be a bad idea if..." I said to myself before my phone beeped.

Fiona's POV:

"I would go to check if Thomas is out of bed." I said to myself as I went to his room.

"Fiona! Thank God, I met you. My stomach has been rumbling for sometimes now." Thomas told me rubbing his stomach.

"Argh! I am so hungry." He added frustrated.

"Haha." I giggled.

"Oh! My sweet little brother. You never joke with your breakfast." I told him smiling.

"Come let make you some light." I said as we left for the kitchen.

"Here! Scrambled eggs, bake beans and chicken nuggets and a cup of tea." I as I gave Thomas a full plate.

"Thank you so much, Fiona." Thomas said excited as he saw the dish.

"I love you so much sis!" He told me as he zoomed off to the dining area.

"Enjoy your meal." I told him as I headed to my room to prepare.

" I need to be prompt, it is my first day." I told myself as I prepared.

"Good luck Fiona. I love you." Thomas said as he hugged me tightly.

Uncle Victor POV:

"Please, I would be visited by Mr. Lawson's daughter, my late friend. Make her feel comfortable." I told the manager immediately I got to work.

"That would not be a problem. I would take care of that." The manager answered me.

"Welcome!" I said with my arms wide opened to Fiona.

"Aw, Uncle thank you. You have me feeling like a princess around her." Fiona told me smiling innocently.

"Because you are a true princess." I told her assuredly.

"Sit." I told Fiona as we got to my office.

"I would be back shortly. I need to meet the board of directors. Feel comfortable." I told her as I headed to the board room.

"Okay sir. Take care Uncle." Fiona bade me.

Fiona's POV:

"Phew! I never knew Uncle Victor would be taking this long. It's close to three hours since he left." I said to myself as I got tired.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting, Fiona." Uncle Victor apologized to me.

"My work here is done. Would be heading home now." He told me.

"How about the job, Uncle?" I asked him confused.

"Job?" He asked.

I nodded my head in affirmation.

"Look, Fiona. I have no problem taking care of you. You are like a daughter to me and I would treat you and your brother as family." Uncle Victor said.

"I know, but I would love to make even if it's enough to get a house or .. or even enough to fight for my father's company." I told him.

"Leave that to me. You've have to heal from everything.. I've got you." He said.

"Okay." I answered disappointed.

"Fiona!" Thomas screamed my name in excitement as I got off the vehicle.

I patted him on the back because I was not in the mood to talk.

I rushed off into my room and got my Mac book.

"What are you doing with that? It has been a while since you touched that." Thomas asked surprised.

"Applying for jobs." I answered him.

"Didn't Uncle Victor give you the job?" He asked me in a low tone.

"It is long story Hun. I tell you once I am done." I replied.

** There was a knock on the door.**

"How are you doing, Fiona?" Anderson asked.

"I just... umm... I had not seen you for time now and I felt lonely at some point. Thank God, I found you." He said.

"So, what are doing?" He asked me.

"Nothing important." I answered him as I closed my Mac book.

"So how is the health process going? I know it's not easy losing a loved one." He said.

"I can remember when my girlfriend died. I felt empty and depressed." He said pitifully.

"I'm so sorry." I told him.

"My world felt like it was going to crumble." He said again.

"But I hope you've healed now. I guest. Mine is still fresh coupled with the freezing if my account and father's company." I said.

"I can teach you how I got out of depression." He said as he held my hands passionately.

"What is he trying to do." I thought to myself almost freaking out.
