CHAPTER 2:IN ANOTHER WORLD

More than a week has passed since the incident. So far I feel better and my body no longer aching. As the matter of fact I'm here in the town right now and currently visiting the place.

Duchess Leona looked around as she walked through town. Even though her face is expressionless, her eyes were practically glowing at all the amazing things she saw.

The town she was in consisted of four streets which boomed with merchants. The four streets were sorted by the things sold; magical items, weapon, magical beast, intertainment and foods.

Dressed in white robe with snowflakes design, Duchess Leona stood out even more with her long silky hair pinned behind with a magical hairpin.

"This world is really magical! The Pill that grandpa gave me is really something. My body feels better now than it was before the injury," I said to myself. I can't help but to smile, I'm really happy right now. Who wouldn't? I grew up in an orphanage and I've never had anybody treated me so nicely. Is this What having a family feels like?" I can't help but to asked myself and I also can't help to reminisce the past.

When Leona Castil was still in the orphanage she always get bullied and hurt. They also made her their lackey. This is also the reason why she did her best to study and reached being a doctor and assassin at the same time. She help them but none of them appreciates her.

Even when she's in the assassin's guild she have no friends, no family and no one to lean on. Yes they respect her but that's because out of their fear. Fear is the only reason they respect her.

"If it wasn't for my bad temper that has made me unpopular among the alchemist of the capital, I wouldn't have beg Master Ken for so long just to get you the pill, you poor kid," grandpa said while crying when he fed me the pill.

"I grew up in an orphan and I've never had anybody treat me so nicely. Is this what having a family feels like?" Duchess Leona can't help but to asked herself while thinking of what happen when her grandfather visit her in her room.

"Don't be sad grandpa. One day I'll become an Alchemist and Cultivate and I'll give them a good smack in the face!" I rest assured to grandpa while hugging him. I never comfort someone before so I'm not sure if what I'm doing is right.

"Haha, good grandpa will look forward to that day!" Grandpa said while laughing that makes me smile. I'm happy that he smile and laugh again.

He, how did I even manage to say something that sickening? In order to become an alchemist, I'd first have to become a soul master.

In order to become a soul master I need first to reach a cultivation rank Intermediate Saint.

"Oh hey! Isn't this our sixth young master? We have a new batch of spirit beasts. Would you like to take a look at them?" Someone approach me and asked me, making me frown and arch my brows.

"Everybody knows I can't established contracts with spirit beasts due to my lack of spiritual energy, so why would I even buy them?" Duchess Leona said to herself.

"Master make said he wanted a Tempest wolf yesterday. Such a good one like this will be gone in no time of you don't act quickly," he said grinning evilly while thinking. "The sixth young master will spare no expense to get on master Mark's good side. I'm counting on you to get my sales this month,"

"All right I'll make sure to let him know when I see him," Leona said casually and passed onto him, making him dumpfunded.

"Hearing that it's something Mark likes, not only did Duchess Leona didn't buy it, but he even walk away so calmly," the man subconsciously said dumpfunded.

Because of what she encounter and she's pretty sure not only that man will come to her.

She sneak around the corner making sure no one notice her. But because she's busy thinking while looking at busy people she didn't notice the man in front of her until she get collide into something hard.

"Ouch! Ouch! shit!" I can't help but to cry when I ran into the wall. Wait? When was there a wall in the middle of the road?. I wonder how I asked myself and because I was looking at the ground or should at the feet of the man I bump while holding my nose. So I didn't see who I bump into because I was busy massaging my hurted nose.

"That's hurt," I can't help but to say in my mind, I never pay attention to the person in front of me but not until he spoke.

"Look where your going! Do you wanna die?!" The man I bump shouted angrily at me because I bump into him.

I looked up to see who I bump into. His voice sounds familiar and it took me awhile to recognize who he is. "I think it's my lucky day today," I say in my mind while grinning evilly. Who wouldn't if you bump into Paul one of the man who beat you to death. The one who cause Duchess Leona's suffering.

"Are you blind? Do you really wanna die? Don't you know who am I? I am the Paulo my cultivation rank is Early Combat Soul in Combat Soul Realm and prepare to die!" He proudly and annoyingly shouted at me. My lips curve up and a mysterious smile form in my lips.

"Look who's here. This piece of trash. You're still alive," the man I bump said cynically while grinning when he recognize me.

"Among those men who beat me up one week ago, you must be the one who kicked me most. Considered yourself unlucky that you ran into me today," I coldly and dangerously said at him with my emotionless face and the corner of my lips curve up a bit.

"Bahahaha! Did I heard it right? A waste like you is threatening me and wanted to fight with me!" Paulo said annoyingly and cynically that makes me smile more. I can't help grinning.

"If not for your influential family and if only you are not in the noble family I'm pretty sure they are mourning your death right now," he angrily said at me while gritted his teeth and throw his fire ability at me.

"I will kill you right now before you become shame on us." He shouted angrily and continuously throw his fire ability at my directions but since I was a former assassin in my past life I avoided it easily without difficulty.

"How come? How did he avoid all my attacks?" Shock is written all over his face, he can't believe what he saw and his started to panic because this is not what he expected. I used this chance to attack him.

I quickly acted and attack him while avoiding his attacks on me. When I'm near at him I to jump high and gave him a flying kick. He quickly fell when I kick him hard.

"Cough.... Cough..... How dare you hit me, you trash! Cough.... Cough...." He shouted angrily even if his having a hard time breathing and cough some blood.

"Didn't you enjoy kicking me? Now, how does it feel to be kicked?" I cynically said at him while grinning and step on his face hardly making him shout in pain.

"You worthless trash! I will kill you when I recover and I will make sure you will gonna die!" Paulo angrily shouted at me while gritted his teeth and bad mouthing me even if his having a hard time moving. I just laughed at him while making face. His face redden because of anger as if he's going to explode.

"Since you hate trash so much, I will let you have a taste of being one!" I coldly and emotionlessly said at him and step on his face really hard making him cry in pain. In order for him to no longer cultivate and use his spiritual energy I broke his two hands and feet.

"You wanted to take her life, so I've crippled your meridians. Considered that revenge done," I said to myself then turn my back and left without looking back.

While the commotion is happening on the far corner. A mysterious man with his spirit beast stood while watching the scene intently, amused is visible on their face. Because Duchess Leona is busy fighting she didn't notice them.

"Who would've thought that a little brat without an ounce of spiritual energy could actually cripple a Early Combat Soul rank in Combat Soul Realm like that. Ruthless, savage!" A shapeshifter beast Giro said.

Giro is a shapeshifter celestial beast 3rd rank in beast level.

"Not bad indeed," while the mysterious man on his side said with a smile on his lips, amusement is visible in his face.

"Not bad at all? Master you're one of the Soul Master. You can't be looking like this!" Giro exaggeratingly said to the mysterious man. Because they form a contract and his master, Giro knows what his master feels they can feel their connection.

In the world they are living. Once you form a contract with a spirit beast you will be connected with one another.

"Cough Cough," Axel Fargo cough as a response. His face heated because of what Giro said. When they are no longer see Duchess Leona's back they also leave.

Axel Fargo a mysterious devilish handsome and cold man. His one of the Soul Master and his cultivation is already at late Grandmaster Saint in Grandmaster Saint rank. He come from a powerful and influential family. Fargo Clan.

Fargo Clan is currently at the upper three clans rankings and is only one rank lower than the royal family in status. They have a vast influence in the royal court. Also known for producing numerous top notch in cultivation. Having been serving the emperial family for many generations, they have acquired great authority and influence in the empire, and eventually been titled as one of the top ten clans.

When Duchess Leona arrived in their house all the servant immediately panic upon seeing her wound and bruises.

"Oh God! How did you get hurt? Who did this you you?" Uncle Ben ask panicking while checking my body worried is visible on his face.

Uncle Ben is my father's brother his rank is Late Grandmaster Saint in Grandmaster Saint cultivation.

"Bring some water quick! And the Medicine Box!" Uncle Ben shouted at the servant and they immediately obey upon seeing their masters dark face and dark aura.

"I'm fine Uncle Ben and beside it was just a mild burn," I calmly rest assured to uncle Ben and smile at him to show him that I'm really alright.

"What do you mean Mild? Look at this!" Uncle Ben hysterically said tears forming on the corner on his eyes, threatening to fall at any moment.

"I heard Duchess Leona is hurt again? Why did you go out alone again?" Grandpa said barging into the house. Perhaps it really worries him about what happened to me when the news reach him. Worried is visible on his face while approaching me.

"Grandpa! I met the people who beat me up, one week ago. I broke their arms and rendered them unable to train from now on. Compared to that, this is nothing," I happily said to grandpa while grinning to calm him. The concern written on his face was immediately replace because of what I was pronounced.

"Is that so! No wonder you didn't come home crying like before, haha," grandpa exclaimed, his eyes is shinning in happiness.

"Here take this, there's another pill left," grandpa said taking out the bottle of pill inside his sleeves.

"It will mend on it's own grandpa. You should save such a valuable medicine for the future!" I immediately said to grandpa shaking my head while making excuses. It's so bitter I don't want the taste of the pill.

"Take the pill and get better!" Grandpa said and for the second time around he shove the pill in my mouth taking me off guard making me accident swallowed the pill.

Tears started to form at the corner of my eyes, happiness is overwhelming me. I've never felt like this before, this is knew to me.

Is this the feeling of someone who care and loves you. It feels like I am in cloud nine. I promise from now I will do my best to become powerful to protect you grandpa and my family, I will not let anyone hurt all of you.

"What kind of shit haven't I been through? And worst this will probably leave a scar," I ask myself.

"Grandpa from now on I will be careful and I won't let anyone bully me again. I will make them pay," I said to grandpa making him laugh so loud.

"Hahaha," while grandpa is laughing someone talk making me turn around to where the voice came from.

There are also Spiritual Beasts in this world that can Cultivate like Cultivators. They have different cultivation levels and bloodlines which range from Common, Unusual, Rare, Ancient, and Celestial.

All beast have some sort of stone embedded in their forehead which will indicate what level by color it shines and how faint or prominent the color is. For example, the stone was silver but the silver is quite dull that means the beast is first rank, silver stage.

Some beast who can Cultivate at a certain stage can transform into a human or speak to one but if beast were to have Ancient bloodline or so in their system they will already have the ability to speak to humans without the need to hit a certain stage or rank too.
