CHAPTER 3: CRIMSON HEART POISON
Most Cultivators in this world usually will contract with a beast as their companion, this is not only increases their strengths but rank as well.
Once you contract with a beast, both Cultivators and beast will be able to ascend in Cultivation Base and understand each other properly due to the link you both have established and share.
Spiritual Beast are usually prideful creatures so it's rather hard to contract and find one with an Ancient or Celestial Bloodline. While the Common to Unusual one are easier to bond with and seek since they are usually sold in auctions by Beast Merchants.

"Hahaha, good! Grandpa will look forward to that day." Zakariaz Scott, Duchess Leona's grandpa said happily. His voice was admiring, because he didn't expect his grandson/ granddaughter to matured suddenly. It seems like what happened to her granddaughter hit her really hard. He doesn't know if he will be mad or thankful because of his granddaughter's changes.
"Haha, Princess Duchess Leona sure has grown up a lot. She knows how to make grandpa happy now," Sawyer, Akihiro's twin said happily to their only Princess.
Duchess Leona turn around to where the familiar voice came from, and their at the entrance of their house standing her brothers while smiling at them.
*****Meet the Scott Family*****
Zachary Scott. The one standing in front at the middle of them is twenty five years old, the eldest son. His cultivation rank is already at Late Advanced Saint in Intermediate Saint rank. A General and considered as one of the genius in Autumn Continent.
Zero Scott. The one in Zachary's left side is twenty four year old, the second son. His cultivation rank is already at 9th rank in Sky Realm rank, he's also considered as one of the genius in Autumn Continent.
Anthony Scott. The one on Zachary's right side is twenty two years old, the third son. His cultivation rank is already at 8th rank in Sky Realm rank. He's also considered as one of the genius in Autumn Continent.
Akihiro Scott. The one on Zero's left side is eighteen years old, the fourth son. His cultivation rank is already at 7th rank in Sky Realm rank and he's also considered as one of the genius in Autumn Continent.
Sawyer Scott. The one on Anthony's right side is eighteen years old his Akihiro's twin, the fifth son. He's five second younger than Akihiro. His cultivation rank is already at 6th rank in Sky Realm rank and he's also considered as one of the genius in Autumn Continent.
The five of them are considered geniuses in Autumn Continent and really popular because of their cultivation rank. The five of them is one of the Powerful Cultivators that everyone fear and doesn't want to cross.
"Brother Zach, brother Zero, brother Anthony, brother hiro, brother Sawyer! Why are you all here at the same time?" Duchess Leona happily shouted at them while waving her hands at them. Her eyes is shining in happiness.
"We heard you got beaten up, so of course we had to come home. It just happened we all arrived at the same time," brother Zachary explain while they're approaching us and they stop in front of us. We're currently here at the living room.
"Does it still hurt, anywhere?" Brother Zach ask gently while patting my head, worried is visible in his voice and expression. His face is so close to me and his so hot and handsome. I can feel my cheek heated and I almost drool because of what I thought. Of he's not my brother I might fall for him. Shit!
"No. The pill that grandfather gave me work really well," Duchess Leona answer while blushing and thinking his elder brother is really hot.
"Grandpa did you went to a pill master? We have a pill already," brother Zero ask grandpa turning his attention to him.
"Yes, the quality of our pill is too poor, so I had to go to master Ken for the restorative pill," grandpa answer brother Zero's question at him.
"That guy has been eyeing the 200 - year - old ginseng we have at home. Don't tell me you traded the ginseng for the pill?" Brother Zach ask grandfather frowning.
"He said the pill was very difficult to make and he only had a few on him. I was so worried about Duchess Leona that I traded the ginseng for the pill," grandpa added.
"Hmph. That pill is worth 20 gold coins at best. Looks like he cut a pretty sweat deal," brother Anthony commented on what grandpa said.
"No price is too high for the health of our younger sister," brother hiro said who is silent the whole time just observing.
"20 gold coins? Of those two pills could feed a family of 6 months," one gold coin = one hundred silver coin = $10000 in her previous world. shock is visible on Duchess Leona's face, eyes almost pop out when she finish calculated.
"Princess, tell us who did this to you? We'll avenge you," brother Akihiro said angrily while gritted his tooth. like his on fire.
"Yeah, who actually did this to you?" Brother Sawyer, brother Akihiro's twin also ask.
I can't help but to cry. Tears started forming at the corner of my eyes threatening to fall at any moment. I am so lucky to have them. I've never once thought I'd be loved by family like this in my life. It feels good to have a family that care and love you.
"I was a fool back then, and caused you all a lot of pain and troubles, I also disgrace our family's name. It was my fault, but I'm not the same as before. I will be good from now on and I will take my own revenge. So you don't have to worry about me anymore!" I seriously told them. I promise I'll do everything to cultivate and become a powerful Cultivators and Alchemist.
They all shock and dumpfunded because of what I say. Who wouldn't if you didn't expect it.
"Good to hear that you have finally grown up!" grandpa said happily then pulled me to him and embrace me I embrace him too.
"Let the past stay in the past. I think it's great that princess has grown up already and learn a lesson," brother Sawyer said smiling who is at my back right now, while uncle Ben hug me.
"If that's the case, we your brothers won't interfere, but if you need anything, just let us know," brother Akihiro then pat uncle Ben's back who is still hugging me.
After the serious conversation of the Scott family they asked how each other doing, talk about their life and what happened to them. The living room of Scott household is full of laughter they just bid goodbye with each other when the sky is getting dark because they still have things to do.
They just go home when they received the news about what happened to their only sister even if they are busy.
When they all leave, I was also immediately went upstairs to my room because I feel sticky and I decided to take a bath. Besides I am not busy.
I filled the bathtub, then I stripped all my clothes leaving me naked then sit inside the bathtub. Damn, it feels so good, so relaxing and refreshing.
It doesn't matter if it's this life or the last. A bath feels just as good eather way.
While relaxing at the bathtub I decide to check my body. I was an expert doctor in my last life it's not hard for me to check if there's something wrong with my body.
Duchess Leona took a deep breath, calm herself and check her pulse. "There's something wrong with this body after all," Duchess Leona said shock is written all over her face.
She found out that she was poison with Crimson Heart Poison. The Crimson Heart Poison is a slow acting poison and hast to be administered to the body for years before taking affect. It first attack the heart, poisoning the body slowly, then it would spread into the brain. Once it hits the brain, more poison will disperse and its markings will show on the face. Black and red markings will show up around the eyes, disfiguring the face forever.
And looking at Leona's memories she guessed it was through her tea. Whoever gave her the tea must really hate her.
Duchess Leona immediately finish taking a bath when she found out what is wrong with her body and go to her room to check it thoroughly. But before going inside she inform her made about what she found out and what will she do.
Duchess Leona closed her eyes and concentrated on centralizing the poison on her body. Seeing that most of the concentration of the poison started from her heart, she then followed the path up her chest and neck and finally stop when it hit her brain.
Knowing where the poison spread in her body she then check her dantians to she if any of them where affected by the poison. The only place that the poison affected was her third eye dantian. The poison has seeped its way to her third eye dantian and contaminated it.
Duchess Leona concentrated on collecting the qi around her and absorb them into her body to straighten herself. At the moment, she didn't have enough power to dispel the poison in her body. Duchess Leona shut her mind to everything around her and and cultivated.
By the time she woke up from cultivation, the sun was beginning to go down again however there was enough light for her to look at her surrounding.
She got up and walk to the mirror it was then that she finally took a good look at her new self. She never paid attention to herself when she first came to this world.
The reflection that she saw back was of an fourteen year old girl. She had black hair her front her fell short, just above her lips while the back of her hair was long, so long it reached her butt. Her eyes were a strange dark blue. Where her third eye resided on her forehead, showed the evidence that Duchess Leona was fed. From her third eye, the poison reached out her eyes like a mask. It's black poison markings, marked itself over her eyebrows in flames, dragging itself to both side of her head and touch her hairline, before coming down to her high cheek bone then back up and connected across the ridge of her nose. Faint hints of red could also be seen between the black markings. The black poison markings looked like a dark butterfly's wing on her face, masking her true features.
Duchess Leona look at her other features and saw a small straight nose and pouty red lips. "Damn so hot, I am sa beautiful," Duchess Leona said to herself. Leona has a softest unblemished skin, she had ever seen or touched.
As she touched her face with her soft hands. When she saw her soft and smooth hands, she rubbed her hand together in disbelief.
"With the poison marking on my face my beautiful features are hidden behind it. Because of it I would be considered disfigured," Duchess Leona mad her way out of her room.
The moment Duchess Leona came out of her room surprise is visible on her face when she saw her grandfather, uncle Ben and brothers are all outside her room waiting hr her.
"Princess are you all right?"
"Princess what happened?"
"My granddaughter, what happened? Are you alright? What happen to your face?"
Grandpa, brother Zachary and uncle Ben asked in unison worried is visible on their face.
"Grandpa, brothers, uncle Ben lets go to the living room I'll explain everything later," Duchess Leona said to them. Every servant they pass shock is visible on their face when they saw their young lady's face.
When they reach the living room Duchess Leona explain everything to them.
"Grandpa, brothers, uncle Ben when I was taking a bath I check myself and saw something is wrong with my body. I found out that I was poison on a poison called Crimson Heart Poison," Duchess Leona said then take a deep breath before she continue.

"What who will do such a cruel thing to my granddaughter!?" Grandfather said angrily banging his hand on the table. While uncle Ben and brothers is starting coldly and dangerously at the air. Dark aura is surrounding them.
"Grandpa I found out that it was put on my tea and Katty Lucion is responsible for it. She betrayed me and her family also hated us doing everything behind our back to slander us. But don't worry grandpa I already have a plan I'll avenge myself and I already know how can I cure myself," I said to them and they sigh in relief.
"Good, good, just tell us if you need anything Princess," brother Anthony said while the others nodded so I also nodded my head as a response.
Oh I forgot to mention Duchess Leona's grandfather had her pretend as a boy in order to protect her. So basically no one know she's a girl except for her family and their servant.
After they talk Duchess Leona's brothers head off to the academy as well.
