C13 Chapter 13

“You think you're smart? Is that what you think?” Lucas asked me. He faced me but I didn't look in his eyes.

We were at the garden beside the Palace Chambers.

“I'm not acting smart, I'm only trying to save myself. That's all.” I answered.

“Save yourself from what?”

“From a monster like you.” I said, not missing a beat.

He laughed. “You can't run away from me, I'm everywhere and at all times
