"If you don't stop that right now I will break your arm off and feed it to you." Gage yelled at the person with our eyes closed. We heard a chuckle and giggle coming from above us.

We opened one eye too see who it was and the first person we recognized was Callie. Her hair was tied up in a pony tail and a huge smile was present on her beautiful face.

She looks more like father from our perspective. Same hair, same eyes, everything is the same.

We look like both of our parents. We have our mothers face and eyes while we have our fathers build and hair.

Though Callie is still more beautiful.

We look at the next person and recognized him as Toby. Uncle Cameron and Aunt Jessica's boy. He's a handsome guy and he's really nice towards everyone.

"What the hell do you want?" We groan and shove our face back into the pillow.

"Come on sleepy head time to get up!" Callie yelled in our ear.

"Shit! Don't do that Callie!" We yell at her while shaking our head. She gives us a sheepish smile and a quick sorry.

"What time is it?" We ask them while yawning and stretching our pained muscles.

"It's noon." Is Toby's reply.

We look at them shocked.

"You're kidding right?" We ask them as we tilt our head to the side, looking for tell that say they're lying.

"Nope we're serious. Now come on, Ancient Matthew will be here soon." She says jumping off our bed and running out the room leaving me with Toby.

"My sister is weird." We say as we stare at the door she left through.

"That she is, but she's amazing." He says smiling and we instantly growl at him. He looks shocked and so are we, well Gage is.

"Don't try anything with my sister if she's not your mate!" I yell at him, this time it's not Gage who's in control, it's me. For the first time in so long.

Instead of him cowering away in fear he bursts out laughing which leads to him falling onto the floor laughing even more.

"Y-You t-think that I-I'd try something w-with Callie?" He says in between laughs. We don't reply and just watch him curiously.

"What's wrong with him?" I ask Gage but all I receive is a grunt from him. Big baby.

"Dude there's no way I'd ever do anything with Callie. No offense to her but first of all my mate would kill me, second of all I'm gay." He says calming down from his laughing episode.

"You are?" We ask him, he doesn't seem gay. No offense to him I just would have never guessed.

"Yes. Now come on get dressed!" He yells then leaves the room as well.

We sit there and fall back onto the bed.

"Theo how did you do that?" Gage asks me.

"Honestly? I have no idea. I just got very protective and it came out. Guess that thing around your neck isn't as strong as they thought it was." I say smiling inside of our head. Gage doesn't say anything too me, he only lays there doing nothing.

"Gage?" I ask him worriedly.

"I'm fine. It's nothing." He says then goes to the bathroom and showers. Once we're done we head too the kitchen, after getting directions of course. When we walk in we immediately see the family. I look over at all of them and smile while Gage pretends he's not looking at them.

"Morning." We say as we sit down next too Uncle Jordan.

"You mean afternoon." Uncle Jordan says chuckling. We smile and nod our head.

"Theo one of the older Ancients are coming here too explain everything, alright?" Mother says as she puts a plate in front of me.

"Thats fine. Quick question, what is this?" We ask them as we look down at the round food in front of us.

"It's a pancake Theo. You've never had one?"

"Let's see how you get out of this one Gage." I say too him with a smug smirk.

"Theo did you ever think that if they found out what our plan is they would hate you, not me?" My smug smirk immediately falls. I stayed quiet knowing that he was right.

We must have been silent for too long because when we came back to reality we were being gently shaked by Uncle Will.

"Theo?"

"Oh sorry spaced out a bit. Um no I've never had a pancake before." We say while trying too act shy. I have too admit Gage is a really good actor.

"I know that already." He says arrogantly.

"Arrogant ass." I say too him to which he just internally roles his eyes.

"Why not?" Callie asks us questioningly.

"Well-" We're cut off when a man walks in with a lady presumably his wife. He's a very good looking man, with his tall stature and strong build. His short light brown hair and chocolate brown eyes.

"Ancient Matthew so good too see you again!" Mother says happily while rushing too the man for a welcomed hug.

"Hello Skylar. So good too see you again." He says as they pull apart smiling down at her. We look over too father and smile as we can see a bit of jealousy in his eyes.

"This is my mate and wife Eva." He introduces the lady he came with. Everyone greets them with a warm welcome.

"This is Theo." Mother says while making her way to us and placing her hand on my shoulder.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Theo." He says holding his hand out for me too shake.

"Nice to meet you two too." We say to the both of them.

"You don't look like an Ancient." We say as we look at his appearance again. Everyone chuckles around us.

"Believe me I don't actually look my true age. When you're appointed an Ancient you stay in the age you were before, until the next Ancients are appointed then your body goes back to normal ageing."

We nod our head, understanding now.

"Oh okay. That makes sense." We say with a warm smile.

"Well how about we go outside so I can see what we're dealing with?" He says looking between us and Mother.

"Let's go." She says and everyone stands up and leaves the kitchen.

This family loves doing everything together.

We stand up and walk out. As we walk we see Mother and Father walking hand in hand. They stand as close as can be while smiling up at each other. You can easily see the love and admiration in their eyes for each other.

We reach the huge garden after a lot of walking and stand in the middle. It's a very beautiful garden, so many flowers all around us. We've never seen so many flowers in our entire life. As they all talk we silently walk over too the flowers. We run our hand through it and smell the heavenly scents they offer.

"Beautiful, are they not?" We hear Mother ask near us. We look over too her and nod not wanting too speak. We stay standing there for a few more minutes as we just look at the beauty and enjoy the smell.

"Let's go." We say to her and walk back to the group.

"Alright Theo if you would please shift for me." Ancient Matthew says still smiling.

"Does this guy ever quit smiling?" Gage asks me, I chuckle and shake my head.

"Don't know?" I reply too him as we begin to take our clothes off.

Once we're left in only our boxers we shift instantly. We don't feel any more pain. Everyone looks at Ancient Matthew and the worst thing me and Gage could think of happened...his smile fell. Everyone must have also started too worry seeing his face.

"What's wrong Matthew?" Mother asks worriedly while looking at us then him.

"I haven't seen one of these in a while." He says with an apologetic expression.

"Why does he look sorry Theo?" Gage asks me worriedly as well.

"I have no idea." I say also feeling scared and worried.

Ancient Matthew doesn't reply, he only stares at us.

"Matthew, what is wrong?" Mother demands sternly. Matthew looks at her and sighs.

"Theo's a Rejected."
