C13 Chapter 13: The Unveiling Secrets in the Cave

In the previous chapter, you read that Ali and Junaid had reached the top of the Junagadh hills, where two robbers tried to capture them.

After a fight, Ali's kindness changed the robbers, and in return, they gave Ali a map that could help them cross the mysterious cave.

Now, moving forward...

---

The Fearsome Entrance of the Cave

The first rays of the sun were falling on the hills, but the entrance of the cave seemed engulfed in darkness. Dry trees stood around it, their twisted branches swaying in the wind like a terrifying omen.

Strange carvings on the entrance of the cave seemed to be sending a message from an ancient power. A faint rustling sound was in the air as if someone was calling them inside.

Ali and Junaid stood in front of the cave, staring at it.

Junaid (shivering): "Ali… this cave is giving me a bad feeling. It feels as if something is trying to stop us from going inside."

Ali (in a serious tone): "I also feel something strange, but we have no other choice. We have the map, and we must follow it."

Junaid nodded, but fear was clearly visible in his eyes.

Junaid said anxiously: "We must cross this cave before evening because after today, we will have only four days left. And after four days, Ameer Tahir will set out on his journey to find the special sword, Al-Amaanah."

Ali then replied: "You are right. Now, without wasting any more time, we must enter the cave. Give me the map that the robbers gave us."

Junaid handed the map to Ali.

---

First Step Inside the Cave and Junaid's Unconsciousness

As soon as Ali and Junaid approached the cave, they felt an unusual chill in the air. The sunlight barely penetrated inside.

Junaid hesitated for a moment and peeked inside, and in the very next moment...

"Ali...!"

Junaid’s eyes widened, his face turned pale, and without any warning, he collapsed to the ground.

Ali (startled): "Junaid! What happened? Wake up, Junaid!"

Ali quickly bent down and started shaking him, but Junaid's eyes remained shut as if he had seen something so terrifying that his mind couldn’t comprehend it.

Seeing Junaid unconscious, tears welled up in Ali’s eyes. His tears trickled down onto Junaid's face.

Because of Ali’s tears falling on his face, Junaid slowly opened his eyes and regained consciousness.

Seeing Junaid awake, Ali was overwhelmed with joy and said:

"Junaid! You’ve regained consciousness! Do you know how worried I was for you?"

Junaid smiled weakly and replied:

"You are my true friend, Ali! Seeing me in trouble, of course, you would be worried."

Ali (taking a deep breath): "Thank goodness! Are you alright now?"

Ali then asked Junaid:

"But how did you suddenly faint?"

Junaid (in a trembling voice): "Ali... I... I saw our pictures on the walls of the cave… and with us, the mysterious old man!"**

Ali (shocked): "What?"

Ali then said:

"But how is that possible? How can our pictures be on the walls of this mysterious cave along with that old man?"

Junaid replied:

"Let’s go inside the cave and see for ourselves. Once you see the pictures, you will believe me!"

Both of them once again stepped inside the cave. By now, the sunlight had completely faded, plunging the cave into deep darkness.

Seeing the darkness, Ali turned to Junaid and said:

"To cross this cave and see that picture, we need light!"

Junaid (excitedly):

"There is a dried tree near the entrance of the cave with wooden branches that can be used as torches. We can break those branches, light them up, and use them to illuminate our path inside the cave."

Ali: "But how will we light the fire on these dry branches?"

Junaid: "Don’t worry about that. I have fire-starting stones with me."

Ali (happily): "That's great! Let's get the wood, light the fire, and then explore the cave and see the picture that made you faint!"

Both Ali and Junaid stepped outside the cave and approached the dried tree. They broke a branch and used Junaid’s fire-starting stones to ignite it. Soon, flames flickered on the wood.

Just then, Ali noticed something nearby and exclaimed:

"Junaid! Look, there’s a torch lying near the cave entrance! This torch will last longer, and inside the cave, there won't be any wind to blow it out."

Junaid nodded and said:

"You're right! I’ve also heard that there's no wind inside caves, but this is a mysterious and eerie cave. Anything can happen inside."

Ali (seriously): "Whatever happens, we will deal with it inside the cave. For now, we need to light this torch."

Ali took the torch and used the fire from the wooden stick to ignite it. Holding the burning torch, they once again stepped inside the cave.

As soon as they entered and raised the torch towards the walls, Ali’s eyes widened in shock, as if he had been hit by a strong jolt.

There, on the walls of the cave, were paintings of Ali, Junaid, and the mysterious old man!

---

Their Image on the Cave Walls

And as soon as the light fell on the walls...

Ali (stunned): "Junaid… this is really us!"

Ali’s eyes widened in shock as he looked at the figures carved into the cave walls. There, on the ancient stone surface, were images of Ali and Junaid, but the strangest thing was that along with them was the same mysterious old man they had met before!

The pictures were so clear that it seemed as if someone had painted them recently. The walls had a faint glow, as if they were whispering an untold story.

Junaid (trembling with fear): "How is this possible? We never had this picture taken!"

Junaid (worriedly):

"Ali! This is the same picture that made me faint. I still can’t understand how our image, along with that mysterious old man, ended up on the cave walls!"

Ali (thinking deeply):

"Junaid! Do you remember when we visited the mysterious old man’s house? He took us into his room, and there was also a picture there—of us and him together!"

Junaid (nodding slowly):

"Yes, I remember seeing that picture too!"

Ali’s mind was racing with thoughts.

Ali: "There must be a great secret hidden here that we haven’t discovered yet."

Junaid: "Ali! What do we do now?"

Ali (determinedly):

"We will find the answers to these questions from the mysterious old man. But first, we must cross this cave and retrieve the map from Ameer Tahir’s hideout. If we delay, he will set out on his journey to find the legendary sword—Al-Amaanah!"

With that thought, Ali and Junaid continued moving forward. But the deeper they went into the cave, the more secrets began to reveal themselves.

---

Venturing Deeper into the Cave

The cave was engulfed in darkness, but in the flickering torchlight, the rocks glistened. As they progressed, more strange paintings appeared on the cave walls.

Then, suddenly, a giant mural emerged in front of them.

---

The Mysterious Image of the Royal Sword

It was a magnificent painting. It depicted a powerful sultan, holding a royal sword in his hands. A golden glow radiated from the sword, as if it was something truly extraordinary!

Junaid (astonished): "Ali! Look at this! This sword… could it be Al-Amaanah?"

Ali (in a serious tone): "This sword truly looks special… but who could this sultan be?"

Junaid (thinking deeply): "Could he be an ancestor of Ameer Tahir?"

Ali remained silent, gazing intently at the painting.

Ali (in a low voice): "If this sword is indeed Al-Amaanah, then it proves that Ameer Tahir’s search is leading him in the right direction. We have to stop him!"

Junaid nodded, but his face showed deep concern.

---

The Two Paths Inside the Cave and the Need for the Map

As they moved a little further, they both stopped in front of a wall where two paths branched in different directions.

Junaid (uncertainly): "What do we do now? What if we choose the wrong path?"

Without saying a word, Ali pulled out the map and started examining it carefully.

After walking a bit deeper into the cave, Ali and Junaid reached a point where the path split into two.

One path on the left disappeared into complete darkness.

The other path on the right had a faint light glowing in the distance.

Junaid looked at Ali, his face filled with worry.

Ali opened the map, but the instructions weren’t clear. Then, he held the map closer to the torch, and suddenly, some words lit up—

"Follow the light, for it shall lead the true way."

Ali moved the torch towards both directions.

The flame flickered when pointed to the left, as if something was hidden there.

The flame remained steady when pointed to the right.

Ali (taking a deep breath): "We have to go right!"

Junaid (hesitating): "Can we really trust this?"

Ali (firmly): "This map is our only hope. We must follow it."

They both took a deep breath and turned towards the right path.

---

The Great Secret at the End of the Cave

They had only taken a few steps when their eyes suddenly fell on something strange.

Both of them stopped in their tracks, staring at the object in astonishment.

Junaid (shivering): "Ali… what is this?"

Ali (in a serious tone): "This… might be…"

But before they could make sense of it, suddenly, a mysterious voice echoed through the air—

A deep and enigmatic voice resonated through the cave:

"Whoever seeks this sword must be ready to face their destiny. Every step will be a test!"

The voice was so powerful that it reverberated throughout the cave. Junaid looked at Ali in fear—

"Ali, what was that?"

Ali clenched his fists—

"This test is not of our strength, but of our intentions… Keep moving forward!"

Ali and Junaid exchanged glances.

Junaid (nervously): "Ali, where did that voice come from?"

Ali (in amazement): "I don’t know… but we must be even more cautious now."
