C6 Chapter 6: The Mysterious Old Man’s House and Ali’s Trials
(In the previous chapter, Ali, Junaid, and the old man traveled overnight to reach the city of Junagarh, where they were supposed to meet a mysterious elder.
Ali might find the answers to his questions there, but Ameer Tahir’s spies had also spread across the city to capture him.
Now, moving forward...
[Morning – Outskirts of Junagarh]
(Ali, Junaid, the old man, and his grandson made their way through the narrow alleys of Junagarh and reached the outskirts of the city, where an ancient and mysterious house stood.)
Ali (astonished) – “This door looks really old! It seems like it hasn't been opened for years!”
Old Man (smiling) – “You are right, Ali. This door hasn’t been opened for many years, and no one in Junagarh even knows if someone lives here.”
Ali (curiously) – “But if the mysterious elder lives here, then why isn’t this door open?”
Old Man (seriously) – “He kept it this way to protect himself from Ameer Tahir and his men. We will not enter through this door.
We must use the back entrance.”
(They all move toward the back of the house, where another door awaits them.)
Ali (reaching to knock on the door) – “Let me knock on the door!”
Old Man (stopping him) – “Wait, Ali! The door is already open. We must go inside.”
(Ali and Junaid exchange glances before stepping inside. What they see inside is shocking!)
[Inside the House]
(The house was extremely old. A thick layer of dust covered everything.
A torch burned in one corner, casting dim light across the room.)
Ali (surprised) – “There’s no one here! But you said the elder lives here.”
Old Man (in a low voice) – “He is here... but beneath this house.”
Junaid (shocked) – “Beneath? What do you mean?
Old Man (gesturing) – “Come with me, Ali and Junaid.”
(They enter an old room, where a mat lies spread on the floor.)
Junaid (looking around) – “But there's no one here!”
Old Man (smiling) – “Ali, move this mat aside.”
(Ali removes the mat, and both friends are shocked! Beneath it, a secret staircase is revealed!)
Junaid (astonished) – “A staircase! Does it lead to the elder’s house?”
Old Man (seriously) – “Yes, this is a secret passage unknown to anyone. You both must keep this a secret.”
(They all descend the stairs, carefully placing the mat back in its place.)
[The Mysterious Underground House]
(Ali and the others are left in awe as they step inside. The scene before them is incredible!)
(Below, an astonishing underground house awaited them!
The pathways were clean, torches illuminated the space, and it felt like an entirely different world—one filled with mystery.)
Ali (in amazement) – “Does the elder really live here? And who stays with him?”
Old Man – “Yes, this is his home. He lives here with an old servant and a caretaker who looks after him.”
(They approach the door of the underground house.
Ali knocks. After a moment, an elderly servant opens the door.)
Servant (surprised) – “Uncle? And who are these people?”
Old Man (calmly) – “This is my grandson, and this is Ali—the last heir of the Azamgarh Sultanate and the rightful owner of the Al-Ammanah sword. And this is his friend, Junaid.”
Servant (respectfully) – “Welcome, last heir of the Azamgarh Sultanate and his companion!”
(They all step inside.)
Ali (eagerly) – “We must meet the elder as soon as possible.”
Servant – “Wait, Ali! I must speak to him first.”
(The servant goes inside to inform the mysterious elder.)
Mysterious Elder (in a serious tone) – “Ali has arrived? The last heir and the true owner of the sword! But he is showing impatience.
Tell him to have patience. He must pass many trials first.”
(The servant returns and conveys the message to Ali.)
Mysterious Elder (in a calm voice) – “Ali, remember, impatience ruins many things. Have patience. That will be better for you.”
(Ali bows slightly in acknowledgment.)
Ali (seriously) – “I made a mistake. Please forgive me. I will be patient from now on.”
(Ali and Junaid wait for the elder to arrive.
Meanwhile, Ameer Tahir’s spies were searching the city for Ali.)
[Ameer Tahir’s Camp – Junagarh City]
(Ameer Tahir’s soldiers stand before him.)
Ameer Tahir (angrily) – “Have you found Ali and Junaid?”
Soldier (hesitantly) – “No, Sardar! We searched the entire city, but they are nowhere to be found.”
Ameer Tahir (furiously) – “You fools! You couldn’t even handle Ali and his friend?
Ali must be found as soon as possible. If he reaches the sword, my dream will be shattered!”
(Just then, a spy steps forward and speaks up.)
Spy – “We will not let your dream of ruling the world be destroyed, Sardar! And we already have a map that leads to the sword. Should we not begin the journey?”
Ameer Tahir (in anger) – “We cannot start the journey yet! If we do not find Ali and his friend Junaid within two months,
then we will set out to find the sword ourselves! But until then, put all your efforts into capturing Ali and his companion!”
(Just then, a spy comes running in.)
Spy (joining hands respectfully) – “Sardar! We have received news that Ali and Junaid entered Junagarh city with an old man!”
Ameer Tahir (smiling cunningly) – “Well done! We leave for Junagarh immediately!”
(Ameer Tahir and his soldiers mount their horses and ride toward Junagarh. There, two soldiers enter an old house.)
Soldier 1 (noticing footprints near the door) – “Could they be hiding here?”
(They enter the house. As they remove a mat, they uncover a staircase leading downward!)
Soldier 2 (grinning) – “Look at Ali and Junaid’s cleverness! Let’s go down and find them!”
Questions to Ponder:
Ali and Junaid are unaware that Ameer Tahir’s men are approaching. Will they be caught?
What trials must Ali face, as the mysterious elder mentioned?
Will Ali find all the answers he is seeking?
