I slammed the door to my private quarters and shoved the heavy bolt into place. The sharp click did nothing to quiet the roar in my blood. My shirt felt like it was suffocating me, clinging to my skin with sweat that still carried her vanilla scent. The fabric was soaked through, plastered to my chest, and I ripped it off with a growl, the sound of tearing seams loud in the empty room
