The various departments began reporting on their responsibilities from the previous month. Xu Qianqian passed the microphone and nodded, signaling the sales director next to her to start the monthly report.

Looking at the numbers on the LED screen, Xu Qianqian felt her eyes were about to blur. It had only been a month, and Yechen's company had already made so much money? Silently, Xu Qianqian started counting the zeros in her mind. Wow... her annual salary didn't even come close to this amount! No wonder her paycheck was so generous—millions were just a drop in the bucket for Yechen.

"Financial Director, your report!" The financial statements were even more overwhelming, almost unreadable. Xu Qianqian raised an eyebrow. Sure enough, Yechen was playing on his phone, looking completely uninterested in the meeting. If he didn't want to be here, why did he rush to the office?

An hour later, the department heads finished their reports. Yechen finally put down his phone, stretched, and instructed, "Let's organize a company trip in August." Hearing this, the administrative and HR departments quickly nodded in agreement. It seemed the company did well this month, and Director Leng was in a good mood.

As soon as the meeting ended, the HR Chief Inspector hurried over, curiously asking, "Secretary Xu, do you have a moment today? Could you ask Director Leng about the budget for the trip?"

"Yes, and does Director Leng prefer domestic or international travel? With so many employees, should we consider going in groups?" the Administrative Director quickly added.

Xu Qianqian felt a bit bewildered being surrounded by the two of them. Leng Yechen had casually mentioned something, and suddenly, the heads of two major departments acted as if they’d received some royal decree, rushing over to ask questions.

“Secretary Xu, please help me out here. Every year, Director Leng criticizes the reports. If we could get them approved in one go... I’d be forever grateful,” Zhang Nan pleaded, looking desperate.

Qianqian frowned even more. It was just a trip, so why did it get criticized every year? Maybe Zhang Nan just had bad luck with Leng Yechen. But he had helped her get into the company as the Human Resources Chief, and he’d assisted her a lot when she first joined. If she didn’t help him, her future at the company might be tough.

“Don’t worry about where to go. Just ask the employees for their preferences, then gather their opinions. Whether it’s domestic or international, offer both options and let them choose. As for the budget, I’ll try to get a sense of it for you, but I wouldn’t hold my breath,” Qianqian said, clutching her files and quickly leaving the meeting room, afraid the Human Resources and Administrative Chiefs would corner her again.

"Is it reliable to ask employees about this? Some even say they want to go abroad."

"You're just gathering opinions; it doesn't mean we have to follow them exactly. Whether it's domestic or international travel, I think Secretary Xu has a good point.
