"Secretary Xu, Director Leng's lunch meeting is at eleven. Shouldn't you be arranging it by now?" The male assistant shot a disapproving glance at Xu Qianqian, feeling a bit annoyed with the new female secretary.

Director Leng has always preferred male assistants and never hired a female secretary before. Why make an exception now? Does this mean his own job might be at risk? No way, he thought. He had to ensure Director Leng saw the downside of having a female secretary. If Director Leng started to favor her, he'd be in trouble.

"Oh, is there anything specific I need to prepare?" Xu Qianqian immediately stood up, respectfully asking the male assistant for guidance.

"Do you even know how to be a secretary? Of course, you need to reserve a table in advance. If Director Leng arrives and there's no table, how will he save face?" The male assistant looked at Xu Qianqian with disdain.

As his gaze lingered on Xu Qianqian, his sense of insecurity grew even stronger.

Soon, Xu Qianqian left the office, and the company buzzed with gossip.

"Hey, do you know why the new female secretary is here?"

"Isn't it obvious? She's Director Leng's secretary."

"But Director Leng never hires female secretaries. I applied for the secretary position too, only to find out he doesn't like female secretaries."

"Yeah, the longest-serving person by his side has been that male assistant. As for others... I've never even seen a female around him!"

"So, do you think this new female secretary might be the rumored 'special assistant'?"

Behind them, Zhang Nan wore a stern expression. He glared at the gossiping employees and snapped, "Who allowed you to chat during work hours? This month's performance reviews are reset to zero!"

With that, Zhang Nan walked away without looking back, ignoring the pleading looks from the women behind him.

These folks sure have some nerve, trying to dig up dirt on Director Leng's circle. But you know, the new secretary and Director Leng went to the same college. Who knows, maybe they had some kind of secret past?

Though, judging by Director Leng's attitude, he doesn't seem to have any romantic feelings for her. Phew, that's a relief. If there were something between them, it could cost him his job, right?

They say men like women with good figures, and this secretary sure has one. Plus, she's always around Director Leng, practically flaunting herself. Isn't that just asking for trouble?

The male assistant's mind was a whirlwind of emotions, like a storm he couldn't control!

"An eleven o'clock meeting? I don't recall that," Leng Yechen frowned, clearly annoyed as he looked at Xu Qianqian. "How did you miss this?"

"I'm... sorry. I forgot to inform you. It's Director Huang's meeting. Are you still going?" Xu Qianqian watched his expression, curious about his response.

Darn it, she'd already paid the deposit! How foolish. She should've checked with Director Leng first before making the reservation!

Leng Yechen glanced at his watch instinctively. "I have another appointment. You handle this."

With that, Leng Yechen loosened his tie, exuding a mix of charm and mischief, and walked away without looking back.

Watching him leave, Xu Qianqian was about to faint from frustration! The male assistant had told her to set up the meeting, so Director Leng must've known, right? Or did the assistant fail to inform him?

Oh my gosh! Director Huang is going to be furious with her. He's a big shot in the perfume industry, controlling 70% of the market's raw materials. This meeting was supposed to be a big deal for Director Leng's new perfume company. Who would've thought, after waiting three months for this chance, it would just slip away like that!

Xu Qianqian silently cursed her male assistant countless times in her mind. Even if the meeting was canceled, she still needed to explain things to avoid Director Huang thinking Director Leng had bailed on him. That wouldn't be good!

Plus, she had already paid the deposit. She couldn't just let that go to waste, right? A hundred-dollar deposit... and she charged it to her credit card!

With this in mind, Xu Qianqian quickly lifted her dress and headed to the agreed location. As she passed by the restroom, she instinctively glanced at her outfit. It was the most conservative business attire she had, yet it still couldn't hide her stunning hourglass figure.

If only she could... never mind, never mind. It's just showing a little skin, right? It's not like losing a piece of herself if people look a bit longer!

On the way, Xu Qianqian occasionally applied some of Director Huang's most famous BL perfume to her wrists and put on a simple yet elegant light makeup.

Outside, Leng Yechen, just emerging from the basement, immediately noticed Xu Qianqian getting into a cab. And... she touched up her makeup? Was meeting an old man really that important?

Was Xu Qianqian planning to seduce him? Watching her perfect silhouette, Leng Yechen couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. He'd heard Director Huang had quite the reputation with women, especially in that regard!
