Director Huang, known for his wandering hands, had quite the reputation in the industry. Several actresses from his entertainment company had fallen prey to him. The thought of Xu Qianqian possibly being harassed by him made Leng Yechen seethe with anger. Yet, the idea of Xu Qianqian being involved with that old man stirred a fiery rage within him, causing his chest to heave with frustration.

That wouldn’t do. Xu Qianqian was his secretary, and he had no intention of her getting mixed up in anything unsavory.

"Head to Star Tower, right now!" Leng Yechen ordered his male assistant with a stern expression.

Hearing this, the assistant was taken aback, thinking, isn't Star Tower where Director Huang was supposed to have dinner today? But Director Leng had just mentioned going to the Century Hotel!

On the twentieth floor of Star Tower, Director Huang, dressed in a suit, had been waiting for some time. When he saw Xu Qianqian arrive, he quickly stood up and warmly shook her hand. "Secretary Xu, welcome. Please, have a seat."

"Director Huang, you're too kind. I'm here to apologize on behalf of Director Leng..." Xu Qianqian began, but Director Huang immediately gestured for her to stop.

Who was Leng Yechen? It had taken three months just to schedule a meal with him. Finally, the opportunity had come, but the chances of actually dining with him were slim. However, since he sent his secretary to apologize, it showed a certain level of sincerity.

"Please, Secretary Xu, have a seat. I never expected Director Leng to have time for someone like me. While I may not be a socialite, I know my place. Having you here is an honor," Director Huang said with a polite smile, making Xu Qianqian feel a bit embarrassed.

She was the one who made the mistake, and she should be the one apologizing. Yet somehow, it ended up being Director Huang who took the fall, and she found it hard to accept.
