On their drive back home, Scott chatted away with Veronica. He had a lot to say to her, and although she was tired, exhausted and worried, she indulged him.

“My mum will be so pumped up to see you.” He said excitedly, and Veronica just smiled.

Noticing that her reaction was not too hyper like he thought it should be, Scott had to ask her, “What's wrong?”
