C9 The Necklace

The two police officers restrained me. They pinned me down to the ground on my belly and tied my hand behind my back. I was horrified. Did you not know what I did? I was lying on my belly and simply staring at them.

The man who was standing put his hands on his belly. He was Jayden. He got angry. When Poppy gets close to him, he angrily stops her by saying, "I am fine. It was just a scratch.

Then Poppy stands in silence. Jeff comes to me. I can just see his feet. " It seemed from Jeff's voice that he was very angry. He starts speaking. "What is happening here? Who was screaming?" Suddenly, Jayden started speaking.

"One of your workers attacked me with a knife." Jayden said it with an angry face. Poppy looked at Jayden with a surprised face. Jeff turned his face toward Jayden. What?" Jeff said. Jayden raised his right hand and showed the blood in his hand.

I am not lying; he did this. Jayden said. Jeff took off his glasses. Jeff looked at Jayden's hand, which had a small amount of blood on it. Jeff then asked Gregory, with an eye gesture, to help me stand up. He then helped me stand on my feet.

I put my face down. Jeff cleared his throat to get my attention. I said nothing. I was just staring at the ground. "Why are you standing there in silence? Why don't you say something? Jeff yelled. I then flinched and took a step back. "Hmmm..." I reacted. Jeff takes one step forward. "I have asked something. Why do you not answer?" he said. Jeff's voice was louder than before.

After this, my body started shaking. "I don't know how it happened. I do not remember," I said with a breaking voice. At that time, my head was aching. I was feeling dizzy. I started feeling a body ache. Jayden suddenly jumped into the conversation.

"He is lying. He is pretending to be innocent," Jayden yelled. Jayden was fuming with anger. If it were in his hands, he would have killed me today itself. Before Jeff said something, Jayden started speaking again. Jayde’s voice is loud, like he was yelling.

I am booking him for assault with a deadly weapon. Put him in the car. Jayden ordered the police officers. After hearing this, Poppy walked towards Jayden and stopped the police officer from taking me. "Can you come with me? I want to talk to you," Poppy said. Jayden looked at him with an angry face. What?" Jayden yelled.

"Just calm down. Poppy said it with a straight face. "Say whatever you want to say quickly," Jayden said with an angry face.

As the police officer was taking me towards the police car, something dropped on the ground. Jayden stopped police officers from taking me. I then looked at the ground. The thing that dropped from my pocket was the necklace. Gregory walked forward, crouched, and picked up the necklace.

"This necklace belongs to Rhiannon," Gregory said with a straight face. Hearing this, Jeff walked toward me. "I did you a favor. And you answered me like this: You stole my wife's necklace. Jeff yelled. Seeing Jeff screaming, I fell to the ground.

I got scared. I started sweating profusely. I was nodding my head. I did not know how the necklace ended up in my pocket. Jeff then leaned forward and asked. "When did you steal this necklace?" I was looking at him.

Before I said something, Rhiannon was walking towards me with a little girl. She was angry. At that time, I was thinking that I would again go to jail, and this time I would never survive there. I would die there. Rhiannon stood in front of Jeff.

She grabbed Kelly by her right arm. "Tell your father what you did. Rhiannon said. Kelly does not respond. She stands face down. Rhiannon shook Kelly's arm to get her attention.

"Fine, I tell you. When he was sleeping, I secretly held the knife in his hands. And put the necklace in his pocket," Kelly said with a sad face.

Rhiannon then turned her face toward Jayden. "You heard her let him go. Your friend is right; it was just an accident," Rhiannon said. Jayden asked police officers to untie me with an eye gesture.

"Hmm, you got away this time. Jaden took a deep breath. I have come here to tell you that the body parts we found belonged to your guards who worked here before him. We came to the conclusion that they killed themselves. We do not know how, but it is true. Jayden said this while walking toward the car.

As Poppy was going away, she looked at me with a smile on her face. "Thank you," I said. Afterwards, everyone went back to their work.

I worked all day. I did not see Alison and Molly all day. At night, I went to my room. I took a shower, and when I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Rhiannon sitting on the chair. She smiles.

"What are you doing here? I asked with a straight face. Rhiannon stood up. "You should thank me because I saved you from going to jail," Rhiannon said. I picked up the shirt from the chair and tried to put it on. Rhiannon suddenly grabbed the shirt from my hand.

Did you hear me say what I said?" Rhiannon said while trying to kiss me. And I turned my face away from her. Afterwards, she got angry.

“In other words, you are admitting that you gave me the knife and put the necklace in my pocket” I said.

What do you think of yourself? Many people have come here before you," Rhiannon said. I grabbed the shirt from her hand. "I will never let you blackmail me. I would tell everything to Jeff," I said while putting on the shirt.

"Huh, he will never believe you," Rhiannon said with an angry face. I pushed her with both of my hands. She said nothing and walked outside the room.

I lay on the bed and closed my eyes. I heard a knock at the window and saw a faceless man standing there. He was calling me outside with a hand gesture. I did not pay attention and then closed my eyes. But a minute later, I felt someone touch my hand. I then opened my eyes and saw the faceless man beside my bed.

"I told you to come with me," she screamed, and I covered my ears with both of my hands.
