Gina stared at Byron, who was sleeping on her bed, for a few moments before removing her boots and stashing them in her shoe closet. She returned to the bed and knelt down to remove Byron’s shoes, which took a while.

As the shoes slipped off, she dropped to the floor, taking a deep breath as her mind went back to the drama that had just unfolded in the compound a few minutes back.
