C100 Ask Your Family to Send Money Over!
"Jiang Qi? How did you get here?" Qin Fugui exclaimed, his face a mix of fear and disbelief, as though he had just seen a ghost.
"Could Lu Guang have failed?" one of Qin Fugui's men asked in shock, his eyes fixed on Jiang Qi.
For a moment, the faces of Qin Fugui and his entourage were a picture of complexity.
Just moments ago, they were gleefully anticipating news of Jiang Qi's capitulation, after which they could comfortably collect their money.
But how could it be that Jiang Qi was standing before them mere minutes later?
Did this mean that all the men Lu Guang had taken with him had been taken down?
"Qin Fugui, where have you taken my mother?" Jiang Qi demanded, his face etched with fury as he glared at Qin Fugui.
Qin Fugui squinted his eyes and furrowed his brow. Once he grasped the reason for Jiang Qi's arrival with backup, his anxiety dissipated, and he no longer feared this skilled young fighter.
Jiang Qi's mother was still in his possession; what was there to worry about?
Jiang Qi still had concerns; Qin Fugui was confident he wouldn't dare step out of line.
Even if Jiang Qi had enlisted a martial arts expert, what of it?
Qin Fugui had weathered many storms. He had countless ways to handle those who were formidable in combat!
With a scoff, Qin Fugui gave Lin Yin a once-over before turning back to Jiang Qi. "Your mother's disappearance—what does that have to do with me?"
"You're not here to stir up trouble at the Qinyun Entertainment Center, are you?" Qin Fugui asked, puffing on his cigar with an air of grandeur.
"My mother's disappearance is none of your business?" Jiang Qi's temper flared as he interrogated, "Lu Guang is under your command. He abducted my mother. Are you really claiming ignorance?"
Qin Fugui responded leisurely, "Jiang Qi, surely you don't think that just because you've dealt with Lu Guang, you can strut around here with impunity? Do you even know whose turf this is?"
"Are you certain you won't release my mother?" Jiang Qi pressed.
"Is this a threat?" Qin Fugui sneered contemptuously. "Lu Guang turned out to be useless; he couldn't even handle you. But now, you've conveniently come to me."
"Jiang Qi, since you're aware that your mother is in my grasp, you must want to save her," Qin Fugui said with a taunting smirk. "Well, you'd better demonstrate just how much you're begging me for her safety. Understand that I'm the one in control here. Did you really think that having a bodyguard and sneaking into my private box would intimidate me?"
"Get on your knees now! And have that foolhardy bodyguard of yours kneel and apologize to my brother!"
Qin Fugui rose to his feet, exuding an air of authority as he gestured towards Lin Yin and Jiang Qi.
"You have ten seconds!" Qin Fugui commanded, his voice oozing dominance. "Kneel and bow your heads! Then, Jiang Qi, you'd better sign over the Ocean Real Estate Group transfer contracts to me, or I'll make the call to have your mother killed this instant!"
In his view, Lin Yin was nothing more than a skilled bodyguard hired by Jiang Qi. What did it matter how good he was at fighting? With Jiang Qi's mother in his possession, he held an unbeatable ace.
Jiang Qi fixed Qin Fugui with a fierce stare, incredulous at his audacity. How dare he demand that Director Lin kneel before him? He was utterly oblivious to the peril he was in.
But then again, Qin Fugui's arrogance wasn't surprising given his limited intellect. He had clearly never witnessed Director Lin's formidable capabilities and the extent of his influence.
"Director Lin, it seems Qin Fugui refuses to comply. Please, decide how we should handle him," Jiang Qi said with deference, stepping back to stand behind Lin Yin.
Lin Yin gave Qin Fugui a chilling look.
Qin Fugui shivered under his gaze, feeling as though a demon had set its sights on him, sending a cold shiver down his spine.
"Director Lin? What are you implying? Jiang Qi, isn't he just your bodyguard?" Qin Fugui asked, his voice laced with uncertainty as he locked eyes with Lin Yin, sensing that the situation was far more complex than he'd anticipated.
Jiang Qi seemed to exude confidence. With his mother in Qin Fugui's clutches, what was the source of his boldness? Was it all because of the young man in the black trench coat?
Qin Fugui was puzzled. He turned to Lin Yin and inquired, "Jiang Qi calls you Director Lin? Who exactly are you?"
"Who am I?" Lin Yin scoffed. "Weren't you just happily pocketing my money?"
"Your money?" Qin Fugui's brow creased as he glanced at the stacks of red bills filling several large hemp sacks in the room. A look of surprise flashed across his face as he grasped the crux of the matter.
The young man's identity was becoming clear.
"Are you the big boss behind Jiang Qi? Who are you? How come I've never seen you before?" Qin Fugui asked incredulously.
Being well-known, he was familiar with all the prominent figures in Qingyun City.
Especially those who could effortlessly provide billions to Jiang Qi for operations.
How could someone with such immense wealth remain anonymous?
"Lin Yin," he replied nonchalantly.
"Which Lin Yin from Qingyun City are you? How did you get so wealthy?" one of Qin Fugui's men inquired, equally baffled.
"Could you be the legendary Trash Son-in-law from the Zhang Family?" Qin Fugui's eyes bulged as he scrutinized Lin Yin, sensing that something was amiss.
"I don't care who you are. Stop with the charades!" Qin Fugui snapped, his eyes glinting with a cold menace as he discarded his cigar.
"I'm not interested in your wealth. Even if you have billions, it's of no use. You've only got one life," Qin Fugui growled, "Thinking you can strut around on my turf? Not a chance!"
"Take him down, then we'll talk!"
With a decisive wave of his hand, Qin Fugui commanded his men. Instantly, several henchmen drew their knives and charged at Lin Yin, their blades poised to strike with lethal intent.
These were Qin Fugui's henchmen, desperate outlaws who had built their fortunes on kidnapping. Ruthless and heartless, they had once been so destitute they would dare to murder a boss with a fortune in the hundreds of millions. Their audacity was not to be underestimated.
For them, no amount of money could save a person from their fate.
As the knives lunged towards him, Lin Yin rose to his feet and kicked the table over with a swift motion. His legs swept through the air, emitting a whooshing sound. In an instant, he knocked down the attackers, eliciting pained screams as each man was struck on the wrist. Their hands fractured on the spot, unable to grip their weapons, which clattered to the ground.
"He's incredibly strong!" Several burly men lay on the ground, writhing in pain, their hands broken by a single kick, as they clutched their wrists and screamed.
"Don't move, or I'll kill you!"
Qin Fugui bellowed, brandishing a hunting rifle that he seemed to have stashed in the private box. He pointed it straight at Lin Yin.
"Qin Fugui, you're digging your own grave! Make one wrong move, and you're a dead man!" Jiang Qi rebuked, his forehead beaded with sweat, betraying his panic. Director Lin was a formidable fighter, but could he really withstand live ammunition?
"Now you're scared, huh?" Qin Fugui taunted Lin Yin, his face twisting into a malicious grin. "You've got some nerve, showing up here all by yourself. What, did you think you were in a movie? Seeking thrills? Flaunting your cash as if you're trying to impress? Do you think you're casting actors for a film?"
Qin Fugui saw him as a naive rich man, foolish with his wealth. He had come alone, overestimating his own importance.
Now, Qin Fugui could not only embezzle the Ocean Real Estate Group's funds but also kidnap Lin Yin and demand a hefty ransom from his family. It was like a windfall from heaven. Qin Fugui was convinced he was about to strike it rich.
With avaricious delight, Qin Fugui's gaze on Lin Yin was filled with greed, as if he were staring at a veritable gold and silver mine.
"If you don't want to end up riddled with bullets, get on your knees now! And then call your family to bring the money!" Qin Fugui commanded coldly, his voice smooth with the practice of a seasoned kidnapper.
