C146 Do You Want to be the President??

Lin Yin wore a smile as he carried a crystal box in his side pocket, which housed the World King.

"Okay." Zhang Qimo nodded demurely.

The pair turned and left the Arent Mall, where Wu Zheng had already brought the car around and professionally opened the door for them.

As Lin Yin and Zhang Qimo walked away, Qin Yu's heart raced with anxiety. He was still on edge; Master Lin didn't seem entirely pleased.

"Brother Yu, what's really going on? Why are you so scared of that nobody? And why did our elder uncle call to warn me?" Qin Fei knelt on the ground, bursting with questions.

"Nobody? If you call me that one more time, I swear I'll end you right here!" Qin Yu grabbed Qin Fei and unleashed a flurry of blows, venting his fury.

"Qin Fei, you're going to see my dad with me right now! And call your dad to come too!" Qin Yu commanded icily. "If Director Lin lets this slide, I'll let you and your father off the hook, and you can go live abroad. But if Director Lin wants answers, you two had better be ready to leave the Qin Family without a penny to your names. You'll be begging on the streets!"

With his threat issued, Qin Yu snapped his fingers, and two bodyguards immediately came over and took hold of Qin Fei.

"Ah?" Qin Fei went limp, shocked and supported by the bodyguards as he walked, his eyes wide with disbelief.

For Qin Fei, it felt as though the sky had fallen. He could handle losing face, being slapped, or even groveling, but losing his power and wealth was unthinkable! Being ousted from the Qin Family would be a fate worse than death.

Why? All because he crossed Lin Yin, whom he deemed worthless? It was inconceivable.

Qin Fei was filled with remorse. If only he had known Lin Yin's true clout, he would have sought his favor. Alas, hindsight is always too late.

Meanwhile, Wu Zheng drove several miles to the bustling central food street.

He parked outside an upscale restaurant named Foam Summer.

The establishment boasted culinary masters from every major cuisine in Dragon Country, as well as renowned chefs of classic dishes from around the globe. Whether it was pastries, curry, Western or Eastern dishes, or seafood flown in from the Arctic, one could indulge in the finest flavors from across the world.

This restaurant had its grand opening not too long ago, with none other than the Eastern Sea's wealthiest magnate, Jiang Qi, pulling the strings from behind the scenes. The establishment's caliber is simply immeasurable, eclipsing anything Qingyun City has ever seen. Moreover, there's an exclusivity to it, with only a select few in Qingyun City qualifying for entry.

Gaining access to this place requires a nod from Lin Yin himself. Only with his approval would Jiang Qi dare to host business VIPs for a meal on the first floor, as the second and third floors are reserved by Director Lin for his personal use – a space off-limits to everyone else.

It's worth mentioning that even the Prince of Dubai, upon dining here, was utterly astonished. He eagerly inquired if it would be possible to open a similar restaurant in Dubai, assuring that money was no object and he was willing to invest whatever it took.

Naturally, Jiang Qi declined without a second thought. The idea was ludicrous. This restaurant was crafted by Master Lin specifically for Mrs. Lin. Did the Prince of Dubai really think he could replicate such a treasure?

Lin Yin and Zhang Qimo ascended to the second floor, where they were greeted by a line of female waitstaff bowing with utmost professionalism.

The second floor's decor was indescribably luxurious, yet it carried an air of elegant sophistication. To put it simply, it was the epitome of understated opulence.

The two settled opposite each other at a dining table bathed in the perfect ambiance for a candlelit dinner.

Zhang Qimo surveyed the surroundings with evident satisfaction, her cheeks blushing slightly. It appeared to be her first time dining alone with Lin Yin, especially in such a romantic setting.

Before long, a waitress wheeled over a cart with dishes covered by crystal lids, from which rich aromas wafted, delighting the senses and bringing joy to the heart.

"Lin Yin, what kind of gift have you prepared for me?" Zhang Qimo inquired, her face growing even more flushed.

With a smile, Lin Yin retrieved a crystal box from his jacket pocket and presented it, saying, "This is it."

Zhang Qimo, initially puzzled, opened the crystal box to reveal its contents. Her expression turned to one of shock, her lips parting slightly as a look of sheer delight spread across her face.

"Is this... the King of the World? How did you manage to get this?" she asked, astounded. A thought struck her, "That auction – you didn't happen to be the buyer, did you?"

Lin Yin smiled but remained silent. Zhang Qimo was taken aback; Lin Yin had implicitly confirmed it. How could he be so wealthy? Over a hundred million?

Zhang Qimo pondered for a moment. Lin Yin had mentioned going to Imperial City last time; could he possibly be the son of some tycoon there? But that didn't seem quite right either. Could he be a wealthy heir born out of wedlock?

Her mind raced with wild speculations, but she couldn't make sense of Lin Yin's fortune. Eventually, she decided to let it go. After all, it wasn't her concern. Even if he had a trillion, it was his business, not hers.

"Humph! You really know how to waste money. You just threw away 50 million at the last auction like it was nothing," Zhang Qimo said with a roll of her eyes at Lin Yin, her words belying her true feelings of astonishment.

"Let's not talk about that," Lin Yin said with a smile. "I'll put this on for you."

Zhang Qimo blushed and silently consented.

With a solemn expression, Lin Yin placed the pendant around Zhang Qimo's neck. In that moment, her entire aura was elevated, as if a pearl had been unveiled to the world, pristine and flawless.

"Alright, I won't usually wear it. It's too flashy," Zhang Qimo remarked, thinking to herself that she would keep it safe.

"As you wish," Lin Yin responded with a smile.

After a moment's thought, Lin Yin asked, "Qimo, have you ever thought about being a CEO?"

"What? CEO? You mean of Zhang's Group?" Zhang Qimo asked, visibly surprised.

"Yes," Lin Yin confirmed with a nod.

Wu Yang and Ning Que had returned to Imperial City, but the affairs of Zhang's Group were still unresolved.

In truth, Qimo could start her own jewelry corporation, but Lin Yin knew she wouldn't agree to that. Besides, Zhang's Jewelry Group was founded by her grandfather, Old Master Zhang Dingding. It was important for Qimo to continue her grandfather's legacy.

"Are you joking? That's not necessary. It would cost a fortune," Zhang Qimo protested. "Even if you can afford it, I don't want you spending so much on me. Especially in business, I want to succeed on my own merits."

"Moreover, Zhang's Group is on the rise. To join them empty-handed and aim for the chairman position, you need connections and at least ten to twenty billion," Zhang Qimo stated earnestly. "Even if you have the funds to buy in, I can't guarantee that I'll be able to help you grow your wealth. There's a chance you could suffer a significant loss."

Lin Yin nodded in understanding. It was clear that Qimo was hesitant.

"Qimo, when it comes to jewelry, do you believe in your abilities?" Lin Yin inquired with a serious tone.

"Absolutely," Zhang Qimo replied without a second thought.

Lin Yin smiled. "Since you're confident, I'll connect you with a valuable contact. I have a friend who heads a financial group. They can provide you with financing of around ten billion, but it will be up to you to repay it with your own skills. What do you say, Qimo? Are you up for this challenge?"

A look of longing was evident in Zhang Qimo's eyes. After a lengthy pause, she asserted confidently, "I am certain that I can steer Zhang's Group towards a brilliant future!"
