C47 Mingbao House

Lin Yin let out a cold laugh and responded indifferently, "I don't need you to teach me how to speak."

"What kind of attitude is that? Is this how you speak to your elders?" Zhang Hongyu scolded in anger. She couldn't believe that Lin Yin, whom she considered a worthless coward, would dare to be disrespectful to her.

"Qimo, look at this worthless man. He still dares to speak to me in such a manner. He has no sense of respect," Zhang Hongyu said with great dissatisfaction. "I intended to take you under my wing. Keeping this ungrateful wretch by your side will only bring you shame eventually!"

"Qimo doesn't need your patronage," Lin Yin stated calmly. "You keep saying you want to lend a hand to Qimo's family. Where were you when her family faced discrimination at Zhang's Group?"

Zhang Hongyu, red with rage, snapped, "What are you to talk back to me like this?"

She couldn't fathom why Lin Yin, a freeloader in her eyes, had the audacity to challenge her. He simply didn't know his place!

"Let me make this clear. Don't think you can continue to mooch off Qimo. I'm arranging an excellent match for her, someone a hundred times better than you!" Zhang Hongyu declared haughtily. "You'd better behave and fulfill your duties as an assistant. If you do, I might spare you. Otherwise, once you're thrown out, I guarantee you won't find work in any industry in Qingyun City!"

Lin Yin simply shook his head, smiling without a word.

Zhang Qimo, looking rather distressed, said, "Lin Yin, let it go. There's no point in arguing with Second Aunt."

"Out of consideration for Qimo, I'll let this slide," Zhang Hongyu said coldly, her gaze fixed on Lin Yin, her dissatisfaction evident. "However, I must warn you, Mingbao House is filled with influential figures. If you dare to be so brazen there, no one will be able to assist you."

"After all, with your lowly status, you have no business being in such esteemed circles in your lifetime," Zhang Hongyu stated imperiously.

Zhang Hongyu glanced at Qimo and remarked, "Qimo, Mingbao House is no ordinary place. Only those from the wealthiest families come here. By introducing you to this circle, I'm giving you a golden opportunity to expand your network. Make sure you take full advantage of it."

"Second Aunt, I've got it," Zhang Qimo replied.

With a cold look and a hint of scorn, Zhang Hongyu led the way to Mingbao House.

Lin Yin and Zhang Qimo followed, ascending the stairs at a leisurely pace.

The third floor of Mingbao House was bustling with people.

The expansive hall was lavishly decorated. Western-style chandeliers cast a soft yellow glow, and the floor was covered in a plush red carpet. Pricey abstract oil paintings adorned the passageways.

The walls themselves were crafted from high-quality jade, intricately patterned, exuding an air of artistry.

On the opposite side of the hall, traditional Chinese decor prevailed. Paintings of landscapes and calligraphy hung from red pillars, evoking the ambiance of an ancient estate.

This attention to detail was a testament to the sophistication and depth of Mingbao House's owner.

Upon entering, Lin Yin and Zhang Qimo were immediately enveloped in an atmosphere of opulence.

They walked across the red carpet towards a set of sofas.

Lin Yin observed that everyone in Mingbao House, men and women alike, was impeccably dressed. Their clothing, belts, shoes, and bags were all from high-end luxury brands.

Many of the graceful ladies carried handbags worth tens of thousands, leaving a trail of delicate perfume in their wake.

Even the gentlemen sported fragrances from prestigious labels.

Givenchy, Fendi, Saint Laurent, Celine, Gucci, Burberry—brand names that could make one's head spin with their variety and value.

The outfits worn by this crowd were worth several hundred thousand, if not millions.

"Lin Yin, if you had any sense, you'd see the vast gap between you and the people here," Zhang Hongyu said with a mocking laugh. "Look at yourself. For someone of your low status to show up in a place like this, it's downright embarrassing."

Lin Yin remained silent. In his simple jeans and white T-shirt, an ensemble that didn't exceed five hundred yuan, he certainly stood out, drawing curious glances from the crowd.

He was indifferent to such trivialities. As a scion of the Dragon Mansion, his true aspiration was martial arts, to reach the pinnacle of his skills. He had no interest in chasing after flashy extravagances.

"Mingbao House really has a lot of character, and the decor is quite impressive," Zhang Qimo remarked, her gaze wandering around the room. She, too, was captivated by the opulent decorations of Mingbao House.

Zhang Hongyu chuckled and responded, "Qimo, if you like it here, I'll get you a VIP card for Mingbao House. You should know, this place isn't for just anyone. They host wine tastings, collectors' meet-ups, and luxury car events that the youth enjoy. And of course, they have jewelry exchanges, which are right up your alley. You'll have the chance to really expand your knowledge!"

"Those who frequent this place are influential figures and scions of wealthy families in Qingyun City. Networking here could be extremely advantageous for your future," Zhang Hongyu added with a hint of pride. "And the Wang Family are the ones behind Mingbao House. Your uncle is also a stakeholder."

"I see," nodded Zhang Qimo.

Lin Yin quickly grasped the concept; Mingbao House was essentially an elite club for Qingyun City's affluent.

Continuing on, the trio reached a seating area with a Western flair. Sofas surrounded a large glass table at the center. Several well-dressed young men and women were already seated.

"Auntie, you've arrived. Is this the beautiful lady you mentioned before, Miss Zhang Qimo?" asked a young man in a tailored dark red suit, rising from his sofa with a welcoming smile.

"This is Qimo, the one I've told you about," Zhang Hongyu introduced with a smile, glancing at Zhang Qimo. "Qimo, meet Wang Ziwen, my nephew and a distinguished member of the Wang Family. He's well-educated, capable, and has studied in France. I think you two should get acquainted."

"Zhang Qimo, the Zhang Family's jewel, your reputation certainly precedes you. I've known about Qingyun City's renowned beauty for a couple of years now!" a slightly portly man interjected with a grin.

"Qimo has certainly made a name for herself as a renowned jeweler in Qingyun City. Even I, who run a financial company, have heard of her work. Her 'World King' design is valued at a whopping 100 million," remarked a strikingly beautiful young woman.

Those gathered appeared to be paying their respects to Zhang Hongyu, lavishing praise on Zhang Qimo in their conversation.
