C69 Lawyer's Letter

"Indeed, Miss Wang, Lin Yin is far from the ordinary man he appears to be," No.7 said with conviction. "Yesterday, you tasked us with covertly keeping an eye on Lin Yin. I discovered that after being thrown out of his home last night, he made his way to Snow Dragon Villa with a man named Jiang Qi. However, the villa's security is incredibly tight, bristling with cameras, so we couldn't risk drawing the attention of their security team. Therefore, I'm not sure what Lin Yin was up to at the villa."

"I did some digging on Jiang Qi afterward. He's the general manager of a real estate firm in North City and seems to have some financial clout," No.6 added earnestly.

Wang Hongling expressed her dissatisfaction with a dismissive wave of her hand. "What significance does it hold that this unfortunate man visited Snow Dragon Villa? It's quite clear. After being evicted last night, he was further pressured by the Zhang Family elders. He's obviously scared of Wang Ziwen. That's why he's reaching out to friends for help. But I doubt his friend Jiang Qi has much influence; he's merely a small company's manager and probably too timid to assist him. Then they must have gone to Snow Dragon Villa together to seek the aid of some influential figure."

"You make a compelling point, Miss Wang. It likely is as you say," No.6 agreed, nodding in affirmation. He seemed to think highly of Miss Wang's astuteness.

"Have you all not considered who among the Wang Family lacks the means to reside in Snow Dragon Villa? Who in Qingyun City would dare to lend him a hand now?" Wang Hongling boasted confidently. "It's safe to say that in all of Qingyun City, no one but me would be willing to take on Wang Ziwen to help him. Without me, Lin Yin is beyond saving!"

"He still hopes to find assistance elsewhere, but if he doesn't come to me, he might as well brace himself for a slow demise at the hands of Wang Ziwen," Wang Hongling snorted coldly, her words laced with venom.

She smirked to herself. Just last night, Lin Yin had the audacity to tell her that no one was fit to be his friend. Yet, after being cast out, he desperately sought the help of a friend. And to think he hurried to Snow Dragon Villa in search of support? His stubbornness is truly remarkable!

He was such a fool! There she was, right in front of him, and he didn't have the sense to ask her for help, instead seeking assistance from someone else? She would bide her time until he had his fill of suffering at Wang Ziwen's hands. Then he would recognize her worth. When he came crawling back for her help, she'd relish the opportunity to humiliate him and get her revenge!

With these thoughts, Wang Hongling's face broke into a self-satisfied smile.

"Lin Yin may lack gratitude and common sense, but his talent for collecting is wasted on the Zhang Family. It's a real shame," Hu Mingren said, tinged with regret. "He's like a pearl gathering dust in a place where his skills are of no use."

He mused to himself that with Lin Yin's expertise in appraising treasures, if he were to join forces with the Mingren Group, they could carve out a formidable reputation in the antique world.

"He brought it on himself," Wang Hongling snorted dismissively. "Kicked out by his wife and parents, and yet he clings to a mere assistant's role at Zhang's Group. Is he dense? He's such an oddity!"

Hu Mingren chuckled awkwardly. "Miss Wang, while Lin Yin has some ability, I don't think he warrants so much of your attention. Recruiting him is a trivial matter; I can handle it."

He believed Lin Yin's abilities were significant, but not to the extent that Miss Wang should be concerned. His own status was more than enough to deal with the matter, giving Lin Yin ample respect.

And yet, Miss Wang, for the sake of Lin Yin, who had become notoriously ineffectual, had her top assassins, No.6 and No.7, abandon their usual tasks to spy on him, reporting back on his every meal and action.

Today, she had even spent over six million to purchase this exhibition hall, solely to facilitate her observation of him—just for the chance to catch an extra glimpse of Lin Yin.

This was a far cry from the composed and astute Miss Wang of before. Her current actions were anything but the calculated moves of a mature and decisive leader.

Hu Mingren was inwardly devastated. He couldn't fathom what was going through Miss Wang's mind, yet he dared not inquire further.

"Just wait and watch the spectacle unfold. Watch me toy with that wretch Lin Yin," Wang Hongling boasted with a gleam of triumph in her eyes.

She had meticulously orchestrated everything for today, eager to stage a twisted tale of heroism. She was itching to see Lin Yin grovel before her, ready to capitulate...

...

Meanwhile, at Precious Cauldron Tower, Lin Yin arrived at the executive offices.

The place was bustling with activity.

As Lin Yin made his way to Qimo's office, he noticed the management looking at him with smug anticipation.

"Assistant Lin, could you come here a moment?"

A resonant voice called out to him.

Lin Yin glanced over to see a middle-aged man in a formal suit, exuding authority, eyeing him sternly.

It was the executive director, Zhang Hongjun, with Zhang Hongxuan by his side.

Lin Yin's brow furrowed slightly. "What can I do for you?"

"Lin Yin, do you have any sense of protocol?" Zhang Hongxuan chastised him then and there. "We are both your seniors and your immediate superiors. Is this the manner in which you address us? Can't you even show the proper respect?"

Zhang Hongxuan watched Lin Yin with a cold smirk, feeling smug.

Back at Jiangchi Residence, he had been humiliated in front of Zhang Qimo's family. Lin Yin, that spineless fool, had been insolent, leveraging his leverage over his son, Tianhai.

Now, Lin Yin had foolishly crossed paths with the Wang Family's young master. Was this not the perfect chance to take him down a notch?

"If you have something to say, just say it. We're not on familiar terms," Lin Yin responded coolly.

"How insolent! To speak so brazenly to two executive directors? Have you no sense of decorum?" an elderly executive from the Zhang Family faction bellowed in outrage.

"Lin Yin dares to be so bold in the presence of the executive directors? He clearly overestimates his own stature."

"Where does he get the audacity to disrespect the directors like this?"

"I've heard Lin Yin even had the gall to cross the Wang Family's young master. There's a saying: a debtor with many debts worries not. He's acting like a broken pot, like a dead pig unafraid of scalding water," a female executive sneered derisively.

The senior management gathered were abuzz with discussion, openly mocking Lin Yin.

Zhang Hongjun let out a disdainful snort and fixed Lin Yin with a furious glare. "Third Bro, you warned me that this guy was arrogant and stubborn. To think he'd be so brazen even in front of you, Third Uncle—I didn't realize he was such a rule-breaker."

"It's no surprise he managed to offend the Wang Family's Young Master. Just look at that smug, foolish expression!" Zhang Hongjun said sternly, his gaze on Lin Yin filled with irritation.

Lately, his family had faced one misfortune after another. It had been a struggle to evade the Ning family of Donghai's clutches. Wu Yang had him cornered in the Board of Directors, leaving him gasping for air. Then, inexplicably, he received a threatening call from Wang Ziwen, the Wang Family's Young Master, the night before.

Already feeling the pressure from Wu Yang, and having been shaken up the previous night, he was ready to give Lin Yin a piece of his mind to release his pent-up fury.

"Lin Yin, look closely. This is a legal notice for you!" Zhang Hongjun huffed, tossing a document onto the table before Lin Yin.
