C72 Stand up Straight When Getting Beaten Up!

"What? Still not satisfied?" Wu Yang fixed Wang Ziwen with an icy stare.

Wang Ziwen, steeling himself, retorted fiercely, "Chairman Wu, I'll have you know that no matter how influential you might be, you're still from East Sea Province. And here, if you cross the Wang Family, you're well aware of the consequences!"

"Is that a threat?" Wu Yang scoffed, his expression one of utter contempt. The Wang Family? If he managed to offend Director Lin like this, the Wang Family's days would be numbered!

"Security, get in here and teach these gentlemen a lesson. Then toss them onto the roadside!" Wu Yang commanded with a chilling tone.

The security team burst in wielding electric batons and swiftly tripped up Wang Ziwen and his companions. They hoisted them up as if they were mere chickens and dragged them towards the exit.

"What are you doing? Ahh!"

Qin Fei, Shen Hao, and the other flunkies struggled in vain, their cries echoing as the electric batons struck.

"Wu Yang, I'm telling my father about this!" Wang Ziwen protested defiantly as he was hauled away.

"Then have Wang Guokang come see me. You're not in a position to talk to me," Wu Yang replied dismissively.

Fuming, Wang Ziwen glanced at Lin Yin's face, feeling an immense sense of insult.

"Lin Yin, you'll regret this! If you dare, spend your life hiding inside Zhang's Jewelry Corporation and never show your face again!" Wang Ziwen spat out bitterly.

He couldn't believe his misfortune. He had come to flaunt his power and intimidate Lin Yin, especially to impress Zhang Qimo. But instead of triumph, he found himself humiliated and physically ejected from Zhang's Group!

The more Wang Ziwen stewed over the incident, the angrier and more embarrassed he became. His resentment towards Lin Yin grew with every passing moment.

After Wang Ziwen and his group were removed, Zhang Hongjun and his brother Zhang Hongxuan were seething in the office.

"Chairman Wu, why should our company provoke the wrath of the Wang family's young master over such an insignificant person?" Zhang Hongxuan inquired.

He had agreed to assist Wang Ziwen in harassing Lin Yin, hoping to release some pent-up frustration and curry favor with the Wang Family. But now, with the turn of events, he suspected that Ziwen would hold a grudge against him and his brother.

"You two are so shortsighted. It's no surprise that Zhang's is in its current state," Wu Yang remarked, not mincing his words.

Zhang Hongjun and Zhang Hongxuan's faces flushed with embarrassment, unable to find a place to hide their shame in front of the company's top executives.

"As executive chairmen, how could you conspire with outsiders against a manager in your own company? Do you have any shame remaining to sit on the Board of Directors?" Wu Yang questioned them coldly. "Let me warn you both, the majority of the company's interests are now tied to the Ning Clan. I strictly forbid any actions that could harm the company."

"If you're looking to ingratiate yourselves with the Wang Family, do not drag the Ning Clan's business into it. Got it?" Wu Yang continued sternly, his gaze sweeping across the management team. "I want to make this clear to all the company's management today. As long as I'm part of this group, I will not tolerate any external bullying of our employees."

The management team erupted in applause, visibly moved by his words.

Lin Yin and Zhang Qimo joined in, clapping with smiles on their faces.

However, for Zhang Hongjun and his brother, the applause stung like slaps to their faces, leaving them red with humiliation.

They had lost all their authority within Zhang's Group.

Zhang Hongjun realized he needed to reach out to the Sunn Family and do whatever it took to oust Wu Yang. Wu Yang had a knack for blowing things out of proportion, causing them to lose face and the trust of their colleagues over a trivial matter.

"As executive directors and senior leaders, you should be setting an example," Wu Yang said calmly. "Now, the two of you need to apologize to Assistant Lin. Otherwise, who will want to work hard for the company? Who will remain loyal? Your behavior has the potential to damage everyone here! This is a serious issue for the group's unity!"

"Chairman Wu, this seems a bit improper, doesn't it?" Zhang Hongxuan protested, his expression sour.

The two heads of the Zhang Family apologizing to their so-called worthless son-in-law?

And within the executive suite of Zhang's Group, no less—wouldn't that be the talk of the town?

"Chairman Wu, I believe offering Assistant Lin a cash bonus as a gesture of goodwill should suffice. I'll cover the cost," Zhang Hongjun stated, adamant about not apologizing to Lin Yin.

Wu Yang's brow furrowed as he responded, "Then you need to discuss it with Assistant Lin and see if he agrees. Today, in front of the entire executive team, you must present a viable solution. If you fail to resolve this properly, the Board of Directors will completely lose its credibility!"

Zhang Hongxuan internally cursed, accusing Wu Yang of grandstanding while secretly aiming to undermine their influence within the group and monopolize the Board's power.

"Lin Yin, your elder uncle and I will each contribute five thousand yuan as a conciliatory gesture," Zhang Hongxuan said to Lin Yin with an impatient look. "Will that suffice?"

Lin Yin simply smiled, offering no reply.

"What's the matter? Is the amount not to your liking?" Zhang Hongjun asked, clearly displeased.

They felt compelled to offer Lin Yin a sum of money to placate him, and even though it was a mere five thousand yuan, it pained them to part with it, as if they were merely dismissing a beggar. Yet, this 'good-for-nothing' still seemed ungrateful.

"It seems Assistant Lin is not interested in your monetary offering. He's expecting an apology and an acknowledgment of wrongdoing," Wu Yang stated sternly.

"Apologize to him?" Zhang Hongjun scoffed, shaking his head. "Chairman Wu, perhaps you're unaware that Lin Yin is our family's son-in-law. I'm his elder uncle, and Director Zhang is his Third Uncle. Since when do elders apologize to the younger generation?"

"Indeed, Chairman Wu, your suggestion seems quite misguided," Zhang Hongxuan chimed in with a smirk. "It's not that we're opposing you, but even if we were inclined to apologize to Assistant Lin, ask him—would he even dare to accept it?"

"When you're in the wrong, you must own up to it. When you're disciplined, you stand tall," Lin Yin retorted, glancing at Zhang Hongjun and his brother. "Both of you need to come here and apologize."

"What did you say?" Zhang Hongjun glared at Lin Yin, his neck veins bulging with fury.

This trash had the audacity to publicly defy them. If they weren't in the office, he would have already kicked this worthless son-in-law to the ground.

"You expect my elder uncle and me to apologize to you? You're far too audacious!" Zhang Hongxuan attempted to cow Lin Yin.

"How dare you speak to your elders in such a manner?" he demanded. "I'm going to call a family meeting and invoke the family discipline!"

"Qimo, you really landed an impressive son-in-law!" Zhang Hongjun remarked sarcastically, his expression darkening. "He's yet to achieve anything, and already he's this brazen."

Zhang Qimo, looking mortified, found herself at a loss for words, unable to calm Lin Yin.
