C90 He Had Ill Intentions!

Wang Hongling's car pulled up in the most bustling district of the city center, a renowned street lined with restaurants. The entire street boasted European architectural styles, marking it as the most upscale area in Qingyun City. Each restaurant was rated by stars, catering to high-end clientele.

No.6 parked outside a Western-style restaurant known as Sarola International Court.

Lin Yin stepped out of the car, taking in the sight of the restaurant. It was exquisitely decorated, oozing elegance and luxury with its medieval Western flair, resembling a noble's castle from a distance.

Particularly striking was the intricate rose emblem hanging on the third floor, and the entrance was adorned with rows of vibrant red rose planters.

Catching the subtle fragrance of rose perfume, Lin Yin inquired, "Is this one of your establishments?"

"Indeed, it seems you've taken quite an interest in me to know that," Wang Hongling replied with a hint of amusement in her voice.

"Come on, I'll show you around," Wang Hongling said with a welcoming smile. "I opened this place quite some time ago, right when I made my first substantial earnings. I've personally overseen the design and decoration of every corner!"

Lin Yin gave the surroundings a cursory glance but remained silent.

Together, they entered the restaurant.

Inside, the opulence was even more pronounced. Lin Yin felt as though he had stepped into a Western palace from the Middle Ages, resplendent and uniquely styled. The bar featured several vintage oil lamps, menus bound in sheepskin, and the walls were adorned with various abstract oil paintings.

The staff, all young women, were dressed in either punk or Gothic maid outfits, perfectly complementing the ambiance.

However, Lin Yin noticed that the vast restaurant was devoid of diners.

"Are you wondering why there are no other guests?" Wang Hongling asked with a self-satisfied smile. "This restaurant isn't open to the public; it's exclusively for my use. Whenever I fancy a drink or a meal, I come here alone. You're actually the very first guest!"

Lin Yin didn't respond but thought to himself that Wang Hongling knew how to enjoy life far more than the typical scion of wealth. She had invested a fortune to create this restaurant, and while it was certainly a lavish indulgence, it also served as her personal sanctuary.

Continuing their visit, they ascended to the second floor and settled at a dining table. Flanked by red carpets, the chandelier above cast a warm, amber glow, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.

A striking young woman dressed as a maid approached and inquired, "Miss Wang, what would you like to eat today?"

"Just my usual menu, and please bring me a serving of each signature dessert," Wang Hongling directed.

"Of course, Miss Wang." The waitress nodded respectfully, then cast a curious glance at Lin Yin.

She had never seen Miss Wang bring a young man to the restaurant before. Could he be her boyfriend? Yet, this young man didn't seem to fit the profile of the wealthy elite that would typically match Miss Wang's status, except for his looks.

With her curiosity piqued, the waitress took another lingering look before departing from the second floor.

"Do you know why I decided to build a restaurant like this?" Wang Hongling asked, her smile beaming.

Lin Yin shook his head; he couldn't possibly know.

Her eyes sparkling with reminiscence, Wang Hongling shared, "I adored fairy tales as a little girl, filled with stories of princesses. Back then, I dreamed of creating a palace-style Western restaurant where I could spend each day reading and dining with the people I cherish. Whenever we felt weary, we could retreat to this private sanctuary to bask in such an ambiance..."

"It doesn't matter who I fancy or how flawed they may seem, I will shape them into the prince of my dreams. The king that the world sees, I..."

Lin Yin cleared his throat, interrupting Wang Hongling's enthusiastic monologue.

"Why the cough? What's on your mind? You don't think I'm talking about you, do you?" Wang Hongling huffed, visibly annoyed and unable to tolerate Lin Yin's demeanor.

She was so engrossed in her story, and yet he had the nerve to cut her off. She truly wondered how he ever managed to find a wife.

Just then, several waitresses arrived, pushing a cart laden with dishes. Each crystal plate was concealed under a special lid, further shrouded by a layer of red cloth, leaving the contents a mystery.

But the cart wafted a tantalizingly sweet aroma, clearly indicating the chef's exceptional culinary talents.

Wang Hongling accepted two deep red crystal cups from one of the waitresses, smiling at Lin Yin as she offered, "Care to guess what desserts we have here?"

Lin Yin's phone began to ring.

Without hesitation, he answered the call. Wang Hongling let out an exasperated snort, her lips pursed and teeth clenched in evident dissatisfaction.

"Hello, Master Lin. In accordance with your orders, I've dispatched Liu Jun and his team to discreetly monitor Wang Ziwen. Liu Jun just called me. He reported that Wang Ziwen, accompanied by his bodyguard, drove to Water Garden and headed to your residence," Shen San spoke respectfully over the phone. "Master Lin, how should we handle him?"

"I'm on my way now. Tell Liu Jun to keep a close watch on him," Lin Yin replied before hanging up, his gaze icy. Wang Ziwen had actually discovered Water Garden? And he dared to bother Qimo?

"Excuse me, something's come up. I must leave," Lin Yin stated firmly, rising from his seat.

"What's so urgent?" Wang Hongling stood up to block his path, her expression a mix of surprise and confusion. "You agreed to have tea with me. Why the sudden departure?"

Lin Yin glanced at Wang Hongling, picked up the cup of dark red marquis black tea from the table, and finished it in one gulp.

"There, I've finished my tea," Lin Yin said, then turned and descended the stairs.

Wang Hongling stood there, dumbfounded, as a surge of anger and humiliation washed over her.

Lin Yin quickly exited the restaurant, hailed a taxi at the curb, and headed for Water Garden.

Wang Hongling, too, hurried out of the restaurant, staring blankly at Lin Yin's retreating figure. Her face, flushed with red, was etched with disappointment and a profound sense of grievance.

She clenched her lips tightly, her eyes brimming with tears, as she gripped an exquisite crystal box in her hand.

It was a gift she had intended to present to Lin Yin, planning to give it to him after they finished their tea.

Inside the box lay a key to a Buggati Veyron and a men's watch, identical in style to the Baidafeili she wore.

"Why?" Wang Hongling whispered to herself, her voice tinged with defiance and dissatisfaction.

From a young age, she was determined to acquire whatever she set her sights on. The harder something was to obtain, the more she strived to get it by any means necessary.

She couldn't fathom it. Was she not charming enough? Zhang Qimo was undoubtedly attractive, but was she really any less so?

Her pride wouldn't allow her to be outdone by her contemporaries. In all of Qingyun City, there were scarcely any young men her age who could match her excellence, much less young women.

Wang Hongling clenched her fists tightly, her voice resolute, "Lin Yin, you will be mine sooner or later..."

Over twenty minutes passed before Lin Yin arrived at Water Garden. As he approached the building, he could already see Wang Ziwen's blue Lamborghini, flanked by a team of bodyguards. Lin Yin's gaze turned icy as he took in the scene.
