C97 You Are My Father!

"Who are you?" Lu Guang stared at Lin Yin with a look of disbelief, panic gripping his heart.

He couldn't comprehend how this young man in a white shirt had managed to launch an attack. Where had the twenty gunmen guarding the elevator disappeared to? Even if they had run into trouble, they should have called him immediately. Unless those gatekeepers were overpowered in an instant, without even a chance to make a call?

The more Lu Guang pondered, the more his fear grew, causing him to tremble uncontrollably.

"Who do you think you are, daring to lay a hand on Lu Guang?" a burly man bellowed, fixing Lin Yin with a frosty glare. "Let Lu Guang go now, or you won't make it out of the Ocean Building alive today!"

Several of Lu Guang's henchmen joined in the clamor, brandishing daggers they had drawn from their belts and aiming them at Lin Yin.

Lin Yin let out a cold laugh and kicked the weakened Lu Guang aside like a limp dog before charging at his assailants.

"Take him down!"

"He's so bold to act this way alone; he's asking for it!"

The group of burly men, all hardened fighters, hurled insults and, confident in their numbers, lunged at Lin Yin with their daggers.

They believed in their own skills, but what could Lin Yin do against so many, no matter how capable he was?

As the burly men rushed forward, the office was soon filled with the muffled thuds of punches landing on flesh. Lin Yin moved like a phantom, his strikes swift and unseen. With the force of his blows, he could easily knock down a water buffalo. Each punch and kick sent a big man flying, leaving them clutching their stomachs and howling in pain.

Then came the anguished screams; the dozen men lay sprawled on the floor, utterly defeated and unable to land a single blow on Lin Yin with their daggers.

"How is this possible? How can you be so strong?" Lu Guang watched the scene unfold in stunned silence.

He saw his men toppled one after another, their large frames as fragile as paper before the young man in the white shirt, unable to withstand even one punch.

"Lu Guang, he's too vicious!" gasped one of the big men, struggling to catch his breath.

To them, the young man who had appeared so suddenly was nothing short of a devil incarnate!

Lu Guang also heaved a long sigh, his expression one of deep bitterness.

He thought to himself, if only he had brought his gun, they wouldn't have been so easily defeated by a single person.

But his gun was stowed in the trunk of his off-road vehicle in the underground parking lot; he hadn't brought it up with him.

He hadn't anticipated that the Ocean Building would be under lockdown. He assumed that all they needed to do was confront Jiang Qi, a man accustomed to the comfort of his office, so they hadn't expected to exert much effort.

Lin Yin approached the window, detached the steel cable, and hauled Jiang Qi back inside.

"Director Lin, I owe you my gratitude for your assistance. My incompetence has caused you such inconvenience," Jiang Qi said, exhaling a long breath of relief, his face flushed with embarrassment as he looked at Lin Yin with a mix of shock and awe.

Jiang Qi had been aware of Lin Yin's wealth, but he hadn't imagined Lin Yin to possess such formidable abilities.

He wouldn't have believed, had he not witnessed it himself, that Lin Yin could single-handedly take down over a dozen armed professional thugs.

Judging by Lin Yin's tall and slender frame, he didn't appear to be someone capable of such physical prowess.

"You're in my employ. As long as I don't give the word, no one is allowed to harm you. Do you understand?" Lin Yin stated, his voice calm yet laced with authority.

"I understand," Jiang Qi responded with a respectful nod, his excitement palpable. Lin Yin's composed demeanor instilled in him an immense sense of confidence.

He reflected on his decision, realizing that aligning himself with Director Lin had been the wisest choice of his life.

Lin Yin glanced at the contract on the table, quickly grasping the situation. He looked at Jiang Qi and remarked coolly, "You did well."

Clearly, the Sunn Family had dispatched Lu Guang and his crew to coerce Jiang Qi into compliance.

Yet even when dangled from the thirtieth floor, Jiang Qi had refused to capitulate. This confirmed that Lin Yin's judgment in him had been correct; his investment in Jiang Qi had not been in vain.

"I am deeply regretful," Jiang Qi murmured, his forehead beaded with sweat.

Without another word, Lin Yin turned, his face stoic, and strode toward Lu Guang, who lay crumpled on the floor.

"Director Lin? Impossible! How could you be the infamous Trash Son-in-law from the Zhang Family? Who are you, really?" Lu Guang stared at Lin Yin, his face etched with fear and disbelief.

As a man who had held sway over North City, he couldn't accept that he'd been bested by someone with such a notorious reputation.

"Who am I? You seemed pretty bold over the phone earlier, didn't you?" Lin Yin said, his face devoid of emotion as he regarded Lu Guang.

Lu Guang let out an incredulous yelp, his eyes bulging as he gazed at Lin Yin.

"Are you actually Lin Yin?" Lu Guang was in disbelief. "How is this possible? You were on the phone just minutes ago, and now you're here?"

Wasn't Lin Yin known as the Trash Son-in-law of the Zhang Family in Qingyun City?

How could he be this formidable?

Had he known Lin Yin was this vicious, he never would have dared to taunt him over the phone.

But the world offers no second chances. Now, he had not only insulted Lin Yin on the call but was also caught red-handed. He was done for.

"Could it be that you're the one backing Jiang Qi?" Lu Guang's forehead was slick with sweat as he pieced things together, the revelation too astounding to comprehend.

Even if he called Sunn Heng now to report that Lin Yin had stormed the Ocean Building and defeated them all, Sunn Heng probably wouldn't believe it, right?

"You seem to know too much," Lin Yin said with a cold, menacing laugh.

With a powerful kick, Lin Yin sent Lu Guang crashing against the wall, his bones scattering like a broken puppet. A lump formed on his head, and his face swelled as he coughed up blood.

"I don't know anything!" Lu Guang pleaded in terror, shivering as he met Lin Yin's icy, murderous gaze.

"Please, don't kill me! Lin Yin, I beg you, spare me! I'll serve you as your servant!" he begged.

Before Lin Yin could respond, Lu Guang prostrated himself, knocking his forehead to the ground in desperation.

Lu Guang's courage had completely deserted him; he couldn't muster even a hint of his former bravado in Lin Yin's presence.

Lin Yin was intimidating, indeed. His kick had the impact of a car crash. Lu Guang knew that if the next blow was aimed at a vital spot, it would mean his end.

Even if Lu Guang still had an ace up his sleeve, with Qin Fugui as his supporter, he dared not use this to intimidate Lin Yin at this point.

After all, he could only seek revenge on Lin Yin in the future if he managed to survive this immediate peril.

Lin Yin let out a cold laugh and asked, "So now you're calling me grandpa? Explain to me, what exactly were you saying on the phone just now?"

Lu Guang was sweating profusely, terrified, and began to kowtow desperately.

"Lin Yin, I misspoke. You're my father, you're my grandfather!" Lu Guang pleaded, continuously kowtowing, casting aside all concern for his dignity, his only wish being for Lin Yin to spare his life.
