PEEEP… PEEEP
I moved aside to let the car pass. But instead of moving ahead, it stopped next to me. The glass went down and my day starts with Mr. Rude.
I won't mind dropping you to the college”
I'm baffled by his words. Did he actually say that? Was it me to whom he had asked? He honked again.
”What? Where were you lost?” my eyes still wide open.
”I can go by myself” I said and moved forward only to get blocked by his car.
”If you'll go by yourself, specially at this speed then there are high chances of you to get scolded by Harry sir again…you know… for being late?” thanks for starting my day by mocking me but at some point he was right. I don't want to be late again.
”Come sit in the car” I was still in dilemma.
”Come on. What are you thinking? I'm a good driver. I won't drive you in any accident. Promise” I'm stunned. Did the words really come out of his mouth? Anyways I don't want to be late again so I agreed and stepped in the car.
”What's the reason for this kindness?” I asked out of curiosity but got silence in reply.
We remained silent for the rest of the journey. Of course what would you expect from Mr Rude?
”Why to take different paths when our destination is same?” he said when we were just about to reach. Don't know why but his words seemed flirtatious to me. Was he really trying to flirt or it's just my thinking? But if he's really flirting with me then he's trying his charms on the wrong girl. It's not going to work on me.
”Just stop when we reach the campus”
”Of course I have to stop there. Can't fly the car on stares and take it till classroom right?” he said with a short laugh.
”I mean… when we are five minutes away from the campus”
”Trust me” he said, looking at me in the eyes and for that moment the world stopped. I never knew that something like this would happen when I'm around Mr. Rude.
I stepped out of the car when we reached the campus. I don't know why Mr. Rude is Mr. Nice today but anyways I should thank him.
”And for your information, my name's Zane and not Mr. Rude” I gaped at his statement. How come he's aware that I call him Mr. Rude?
”I can read your mind darling” he said with a wink leaving me stunned. Now how come he knew what I was thinking?
”My name's Blaire. Not darling! Anyways thanks”
”Sure. BLAIRE”
I couldn't refrain myself from thinking about Mr. Rude oh sorry his name's Zane. No one ever cared about me getting late for classes before. I should have turned his offer down of letting him drop me. And all those students staring at me in the campus, they were staring at me with their mouth and eyes wide open when I walked out of Zane's car. That was so awkward. And how does Zane know that I call him Mr Rude? Did he really read my mind? No. That's not possible. He must have overheard me calling him by that name. I should have at least refused his offer or should have jumped out of the car when we were five minutes away from the campus to avoid all those stares. Damn. Why didn't I do that? I was totally…
I was… I was compelled…
The way he looked in my eyes, I couldn't think of anything else. I was totally compelled. Don't know if he has any knowledge of hypnotism or not but I couldn't deny him. At that moment if he would have asked me to jump off the building I would have done that too. I was totally under his control at that time.
