C26 The Bounty

The cold air froze everything in its part, when the wyvern saw this, he blew a humongous sea of flames towards the cold air and when the two opposing forces clashed, it released a huge spray of steam.

"YOU ARE STRONGER THAN I THOUGHT, SUCH GREAT CONTROL OF ICE, THIS IS THE POWER IF THE ICE GOD, WHO ARE YOU?" The wyvern asked with shock as it backed away, it was clear that it was at a disadvantage. The inheritance of the ice God had made up the difference of 200 levels even James was shocked by it but he pretended like it was nothing.

"You do not have the ability to make me use my full strength" James said with a calm expression that disturbed the wyvern as he summoned his clone to clash with the wyvern while watching from the sidelines.

The clone conjured an ice spear which he threw at the wyvern but was destroyed before it reached its target by a stream of acid.

The clone conjured three ice spears and threw two at the wyvern with full force and then the last one, this time the wyvern used his flames to destroy two of the spears but the last one was unexpected so it managed to hit it but all it did was cause it light injuries and enrage it which caused it to fire a stream of acid at him.

The clone conjured an ice wall which successfuly blocked the attack then an ice rain which summoned shards of ice which pelted the wyvern and some even managed to puncture a hole in its tough scales and cause it to retreat in fear.

James just stood by the side and controlled the clone while gaining enlightement from the fight, the inheritance was so much stronger than he imagined, it enabled him to create skills that require ice without any wastage of system points but the only problem was the high mana usage and that was why he used his clone who had half of his mana, in case the wyvern made any suspicious moves.

"What if I integrate the ice God inheritance into the ice cage?, what improvement would I have, let's try it" James suddenly had an inspiration but before he used the skill he wanted to create, he wanted to try something first.

"Will you hand over the key or do you want me to get it out of you when I kill you" James asked the wyvern with a threatening tone.

"I promise you that you will never get this key from me" The wyvern said to James with a mocking smile.

"Don't make promises you can't keep, okay then, you leave me no choice" James said as he closed his eyes and placed his two hands together and his his clone also did the same.

"Do you think the same skill will work on me again" The wyvern asked with a grin as he saw the actions of James and his clone but James only gave a smile which unnerved TGE wyvern for some reason he didn't know.

"Who told you it's the same skill" James said calmly with a smile as he opened his eyes and stretched his hands towards the wyvern and his clone also did the same.

When the wyvern saw their actions, it also breathed in and blew out a huge sea of flames that was bigger than all the other ones combined but before it could reach them, James and his clone both opened their eyes.

Immediately they opened their eyes, ice rushed out of their outstretched hands and froze all the flames that were approaching and moved towards the wyvern with lightening speed and when the wyvern saw this, it quickly started spraying acid but even that couldn't save it because the ice was like a virus, immediately it touched the acid, it spread and covered it's surface.

The wyvern saw that it's attack were useless so it stopped and retreated but the ice followed it closely until it managed to touch him and when it did, it ended up like the acid, it spread all over it's body and started turning it into an ice sculpture.

"PLEASE, STOP, I WILL GIVE YOU THE KEY, ROOOAAAR" The wyvern screamed in fear but it was too late, the ice had covered it's whole body and it turned into an ice sculpture and fell to the ground then shattered into several pieces then James heard a system notification but didn't mind it.

James stopped his attack after it had died and his appearance turned back to normal while a wave of tiredness overcame him so he flew to the ground to rest and instructed his clone to get the key.

The clone picked up the key from the shattered body of the wyvern and gave it to James who collected it and when he did, a doorway appeared before him but instead of going through it, he searched for another medallion hole but didn't find any so he walked towards the doorway but as he was about to, he suddenly stopped and turned towards the hoard behind him and a smile appeared on his face as he placed all of it in his dimension space which looked infinite then he stepped through the doorway.

As he stepped through it, at the same time in the demon palace, the demon king who was severely injured by James could be seen knelling in front of the demon titan.

"Your uselessness amazes me yet again Rak, you were so useless that a human did this to you and your excuse is that it was the God of lightening who is here to haunt us, couldn't you find a better excuse" The demon titan stood up from his throne and walked towards Rak who trembled uneasily.

"My lord please forgive me, I am sorry for my failure, I am ready to accept any punishment" Rak said with fear as the demon titan approached him.

"Your punishment... you will be stripped of your rank and will serve in the gallows for five years, do you accept your punishment?" The demon titan paused by his side and said to him.

"I gladly accept my punishment, my lord" Rak said to the demon Titan with respect.

"Rise, and leave me, wait have you found any trace of my son" The demon titan said to Rak then asked him as he was about to leave.

"No my lord but I think the God of lightening is behind it" Rak replied the demon titan.

"You still blame it on the "God of lightening", Leave me now and start your punishment" The demon titan said with rage.

When Rak left the palace, the demon titan revealed a look of panic on his face and disappeared, he appeared in a dark dimension that was made of dark flames and before him were several demon titans who had closed eyes.

"We have a problem, the God of lightening is back and he chose to reincarnate on earth" The demon titan said to the others.

"This requires immediate attention, does anyone else know about it?" A voice sounded from among the demon titans.

"Rak found out but I convinced him that it wasn't true but he still insists that he was the one who caused him such injuries and when I inspected it I found traces of tribulation lightening" The demon soldier replied in a grave tone.

"How is he able to stay on earth with his power, the barrier is supposed to repel him so either the barrier is broken or he somehow managed to utilize some of his power so he should be at his weakest now which is the best time to attack" another voice sounded from the demon titans.

"As expected, you are still cunning after all these years" The demon titan praised the voice.

"Even if the barrier is weak, it is not something we want to go against right now, I suggest we place a bounty on his head" Another voice sounded calmly.

"I think that is our best course of action to take at the moment" Another voice sounded weakly.

"The bounty must be attractive enough to attract the strongest among the bounty hunters because they all know the power of the God of lightening and even at his weakest, he shouldn't be underestimated, we underestimated him the last time and he escaped, that can not happen again" The cunning voice sounded.

"I agree, he can absolutely not be allowed to regain his full power or else I am afraid that we shall not be lucky enough to force him into that situation again" The demon titan said to the others.

"You realize that if he has appeared then so have his friends, we need to find them" An old voice sounded from a far corner of the dimension.

"How could we have forgotten you, whenever you talk, it is always important, it is agreed then, 10 billion galactic credits for his head" The demon titan said then disappeared.

While demon titans were making plans to kill him, James had stepped through the doorway and had appeared in a small hut.

"Absorb as many lightening bolts as possible to pass the challenge, what lightening bolts?" James read the inscriptions on the wall and grew confused then he moved towards the door and opened it.

Immediately he opened the door, James appeared in a lightening dimension where lightening could be heard crackling around him.
