C3 Alexis

We quickened our pace towards the mathematics classroom. Contrary to our previous French class, math didn’t have any jock in it, just normal Hercules students. The jocks would never be bothered to attempt something as demanding as math. The two hours for the allotted math lesson fleeted by in a minute. I guess when you did something that was so preoccupying like math, time always raced. We were already in lunch break before I realized it.

“ Can I seat with you?” I asked Evans who sat at a lone bench at an abandoned corner in the cafeteria. He was eating an orange, just one orange that had been sliced in ten pieces. How sad could his life be?

“ There are other tables with actual students occupying them” Evans replied, his face a bit scrunched up.

“ Meh” I shrugged and took a seat anyway

I took out my packed lunch which consisted of two pancakes, a bacon sausage and a bottle of orange juice.

“ Why are you eating an orange for lunch anyway? You don’t have any money or something? We can share my lunch if you want”

“ I’m trying to loose weight, I don’t want your pancakes” Evans replied

“ You are already thin as it is, if you loose any more weight then you are a walking bag of bones” I scoffed

“ I said I don’t want your pancakes” he snapped pushing back the lunch box

“ Jeez” I rolled my eyes “ I was just being generous, your loss”

For the next few minutes, I stuffed my face as Evans watched with an appalled face. I was a noisy eater and I never minded if it bothered others. Eating was the most natural thing there was, there was literally no need to behave like the princess of Florence when eating. I gulped the whole juice bottle in one gulp after I was done, Evans wasn’t even done eating his orange.

“ What?” I asked as I wiped my mouth “ You refused my offer. You didn’t expect me to beg you, did you?”

“ No, I’m on a diet prescribed by my doctor, that’s why I can’t eat any fat ” he sighed then silently munched on his orange

Our gazes travelled to the noisy part of the cafeteria, where the school jocks and the cheerleaders ate. It was like a freaking high table. Alexis was seated on Ethan’s lap while staring at him as if she would devour him the next second, so gross. She had both her arms around Ethan’s neck, and he was staring directly at part of her exposed boobs. I was just studying the monarchs when Ethan’s gaze suddenly locked with mine. I was slightly taken aback because I was like seated across the cafeteria and many students were looking at their table, there was literally no way he could single me out of the whole crowd of students. I immediately turned my eyes back to our table, What the actual fuck?

“ What is your deal with him?” Evans asked

I glared at him.

“ I’m sorry, it’s your personal matter and I shouldn’t ask” he quickly apologized

“ I don’t have any deal or personal matter going on with him, we are completely different people” I followed up

“ He is still staring at you” Evans said

“ What? Okay, we are leaving” I immediately stood up

“ But I’ve not finished my lunch” Evans complained

“ It’s a fucking orange, you can eat it on our way to class” I said and grabbed his arm

Ethan POV

“ Hey handsome” Alexis popped up beside me during the lunch break. She clung her arm around mine.

“ Alexis” I lightly kissed her on her forehead

“ Are you excited about today evening?”

“ Excited? No, I’m enthusiastic” I smiled

“ Everything is ready, right?” she asked

“ My boys have been on it all night and morning. I inspected the thing earlier today to ensure nothing’s wrong. Everything is more than ready for my goddess of beauty”

“ You are so sweet munchkins, I love you” Alexis pursed her lips

“ Anything for you Alexis” I said with a smile yet…

What the fuck? Did she just say that she loved me? We weren’t even officially dating

“ How was your morning?” I followed up with a quick question

“ It was boring, I never got to see you anywhere. I missed you”

“ I’ll make it up for you in the evening, I promise” I said

“ I know you will, how was yours?”

“ Amusing actually” I chuckled “ Can you believe a new kid with a funny name just got transferred to our school?”

“ Funny name?”

“ Evans Burger. ” I laughed

“ Are you referring to the kid with red head whose face is infested with boils?”

“ Yeah, the one with a heavy backpack and glasses” I added

“ I saw him earlier walking with the other new bitch” Alexis said, her face scrunched up in disgusted way when she mentioned the new bitch

“ Her name’s Mabel” I said

“ How the hell do you know her name?” Alexis snapped while withdrawing from my hold

“ She said it to the class” I shrugged

“ And why the defensive tone, her name’s Mabel “ she mimicked my voice with a stern expression

“ I was using no defensive tone, I was just saying” I scoffed

“ Do you like her? She’s short and fat”

I wanted to say she wasn’t fat but I reigned my horses

“ I don’t like her cause she’s not my type”

“ She’s not your type? Am I your type?” she raised her brow

“ You know you are the one I like” I took her hands in mine

“ You like me? I just said that I love you. Do you love me Ethan?” she snapped

Her bickering had gathered the attention of several students in the music hall, Alexis never cared of the audiences she dragged with her drama . They immediately looked away when I glared at them.

“ I’m talking to you Ethan, do you love me?” she snapped again

“ Of course I do” I said through gritted teeth

“ You what?”

“ I …. I have some affection for you” I said

“ Some?”

“ All of my affection” I sighed

Alexis smiled then put her arms around my neck

“ I know you love me, stupid. I was just bursting your balls” she smiled widely “ and I would never accuse you of liking a peasant like the new bitch, she is definitely not your type”

She gave me a peck on my lips

“ You are cute when you try to explain things, lets go eat” she smiled
