C15 Beaten Up!

Gu Tianyi wore a white lace gown, looking more like a bride than someone attending a casual class reunion. When she glanced at herself in the full-length mirror, she thought she looked stunning. But now, walking down the street, she felt out of place.

Was she overdoing it? Maybe a bit, considering the way passersby couldn't help but stare at her. She adjusted her long, wavy hair and smiled. It had been a while since she'd seen her classmates, and though there wasn't much genuine camaraderie, being the center of attention felt nice.

As long as she didn't run into Dongfang Ze, she could dress as extravagantly as she wanted. After coming to this conclusion, Tianyi stopped worrying about the curious glances.

The reunion was at a large karaoke bar, a pretty mainstream venue, and her outfit did seem a bit over-the-top for the occasion. The thought of her attire made her feel slightly uneasy again.

As soon as Anan came over, Tianyi grabbed her arm and anxiously asked, "Anan, do you think I'm overdressed?"

Anan looked her up and down, then nodded approvingly, "Tianyi, you look amazing! That dress is gorgeous. Where did you get it? I want one too, though it probably won't look as good on me..."

With Anan's reassurance, Tianyi felt a bit more at ease. Still uncertain, she asked, "Does it really look good?"

Seeing Anan nod affirmatively, her nerves settled a little. Anan took her hand and said, "Come on, everyone's waiting for you."

Following Anan into the karaoke bar, Tianyi immediately drew everyone's attention. In her white dress, she looked like an ethereal vision, her wavy hair cascading over her shoulders, captivating everyone, especially Xu Changming, who couldn't take his eyes off her.

Xu Changming sat on one side of the couch, his eyes glued to Tianyi as if they were held there by strong adhesive, unable to look away. Anan took Tianyi's hand and led her straight to the corner of the couch, gently seating her next to Xu Changming.

Tianyi awkwardly smiled at Xu Changming and turned her head to whisper to Anan, "What are you doing?" She had a strong suspicion that Anan had deliberately placed her next to Xu Changming, making her feel particularly uncomfortable.

Anan didn't answer her but instead spoke loudly, "Tianyi, I don't think I need to introduce you to Xu here. You two should have a good chat." Before Tianyi could say anything else, Anan quickly turned and left.

Watching Anan's retreating figure, Tianyi felt like crying but had no tears. She and Xu Changming weren't exactly close, but they did have some history. Three months ago, Xu Changming had confessed his feelings to her, but she had turned him down. So, at this moment, no one could truly understand just how awkward Tianyi felt.

On the other hand, Xu Changming appeared quite at ease. He handed Tianyi a glass of red wine and said, "Long time no see." Tianyi looked at the glass, took it, clinked it lightly against his, and replied, "Long time no see."

After taking a sip, she heard Xu Changming say, "Tianyi, my feelings for you are sincere. Even now, I haven't let go. Can you give me a chance?"
