C20 BRAINSTORMING TO MAKE ORIKORE TALK

After Orikore was tucked away in a special cell in the national police headquarters, the IG specially celebrated Bori and Osbert for the job well done and he then asked for their opinions on how to fish out Orikore's backer who were behind the evil hostile take over of people's wealth and businesses in Nigeria.

Osbert was quick to talk, he believed if they torture Orikore properly he will tell them things that will help them against his organization. But Bori said,

"Body torture won't work because the other time when he was arrested he defied all forms of tortures inflicted upon him, he did not say anything to us. I believe he is under oath of death and he was confident that his people would get him out"

"What then do we do to him?" The inspector general of police asked and Bori answered

"We need to take series of steps to flush out these people, but torturing him will not be one of the first steps. As he is he is already prepared in his mind for the torture and he must have braced up his mind and condition his body for it.

What I want us to first do to him is to treat him like a lion taken from the wild, dumped and abandoned in a cage to face mental torture of not been able to roam freely"

"What will that do to this hardened beast, remember that is part of the training he had as a member of army special squad?" The IG asked Bori

"Loneliness and hunger will break him down if we completely isolate and make sure he doesn't see light nor hear voice of any man for days, he will have mental torture thinking of what we are up to"

Osbert asked

"Then after the days of isolation what will happen?"

"We will give him very rich food laced with drug that will make him so hungry, that will make him so desperate for food and water; then we will lock him away again in total darkness. I believe by the time we will repeat that thrice he will be the one who will want to talk to us, but still we will ignore him like we do not need any information from him"

"This is a great idea" The IG said and added "We can even tell him to his face that we already know what he wants to tell us about his people because the guy they replaced him with is cooperating with us"

"Exactly! We will tell him so and later give him a book to write his own version of the story in his own defence because we are taking him to court. Or we demand it from him in exchange for water and food after he is bodily and mentally weakened"

"This idea is great, let us do it." Osbert said.

"But while we are giving him this mental torture are we just going to hang around waiting for the time he will break down and do nothing about his group?"The IG asked

"No sir"

"What do we do in the meantime while we wait for his break down?"

"We will play mind game with his people also"

"Mind game with people that we do not know, how do we do that?"

"It is pretty simple sir, we just need to do two things. We will need to make press release about how we discovered him in Ghana, how we tailed him back home when he came to bury his father who died and arrested him.

In that press release we will tell the public that he is cooperating with our investigation and that he told us that his group are into hostile taking over of people's wealth through wicked means.

After the press release we will go to the very prison he was taken to after he was convicted in court"

"Yes!! This is the right way to go" Osbert said and added "Definitely, some people in that prison must know about how he was exchanged with another person, so let us make it part of the press release that he told us he was exchanged with an innocent person and that we are going to the prison to query the authority of the prison"

"That will be great, but I think we need to catch the prison authority unaware, if they hear that we are coming they will prepare for our coming"

"True" Osbert said and he added"How about we go to the prison first before the press release? And we will keenly observe the authorities as we talk to them, if they are involve this evil deed they may panic and we will monitore any of them who show signs of apprehension"

Your idea is good, but I am sure the guy they exchange him with can't be in that prison right now"

"Why do you think so Bori?" The IG asked

"Sir, because of fear of discovery they definitely won't let him remain in that prison, they must have transfered him so that tracing him will be difficult. So when we get there we must demand for his transfer record" Bori answered

"But if you want to demand for his transfer record or file you must have the court's permission, otherwise you may have problem with the prison authority. So I will suggest we should approach a court for permission before you will go there" The IG advice them but Bori disagreed with the idea of approaching a court on this ground

"Sir I don't want us to approach a court if we do not want the prison authority to be alerted before we approach them since we can't guarantee that our going to court and our purpose won't be leaked to the public.

What I will suggest we do is to approach the governor for his permission since he too can legally approved our request for a prisoner's file and to query the prison authority"

Both the IG and Osbert agreed with him and they decided to seek permission from the governor so that the prison officials won't be alerted of their coming and be caught unaware.

They also agreed that once they obtain the permission both Bori and Osbert will go straight to the prison and once they are there querying the officials they will call the IG so that the police P R O team can make the press release to alarm the group that Orikore belong to
