C7 SALT UPON INJURY 1

The night started so well in the club, Omoyemi was busy serving drinks alongside Dan, because that was what they were assigned to do.

Suddenly a member came in who came so late for the night event, he came in with the most beautiful lady they had ever seen in this club she catches the eyes of all the staffs and club members. Omoyemi had his back towards the entrance and did not see the guy who entered and his girlfriend.

But looking at the eyes of the staffs who were looking towards the entrance, he knew they saw something strange and he asked Dan, "What is it?"

Dan whispered

"It's Leko, look at his girlfriend, I have not seen a lady as beautiful as this before in my life!"

Normally the club members don't call themselves by their true names, like Olamiposi they all have nicknames and the staffs don't know their true identities in the society. The one who came in now is called by his nickname, "Leko"

Hearing what Dan whispered Omoyemi turned to look at the lady, but he could not see her face because she has turned her back towards where he stood. But from her back view what he saw was a sylph with skin as beautiful as African evening sun!

He instantly liked her from her back posture and he eagerly waited for her to turn so that he could see her face and judge if her face is as beautiful as her figure, but Leko at that moment was introducing her to one of his friends in the club.

Time stood still as Omoyemi waited to see her face, but the man Leko was introducing her to seemed so engrossed with her, he held unto her hands shamelessly with his eyes devouring her, even though his own wife stood beside him.

Soon Omoyemi's supervisor came out from a corner behind Leko as he was heading towards Omoyemi, he too saw the girl with Leko and he was completely taken over by her beauty.

When he walked pass Leko he turned again to look at the lady from her back and he almost collapsed with another member who was walking towards him: something which could earned him a dirty slap!

When he got to where Omoyemi stood and caught him looking at the lady, he placed a tray in his hand and said,

"Since you want to look at her very well, go and serve them drinks, Leko said she needed water"

At first when Omoyemi heard the instruction he was excited to be the one chosen to serve her, but in that instant the lady managed to pull her hand free from the one who imprisoned it, she then turned to sit and shockingly she was the lady who almost crushed Omoyemi with Lamborghini in the morning!

Looking at the face of the lady, he was shocked beyond words and he stood rigidly rooted to the spot! Dan saw the way he suddenly changed and asked:

"Omoyemi, what is it?

He answered with one word

" The lady"

And Dan understood immediately and he too was shocked!

Thinking he may over react, he moved quickly closer to him and whispered,

"Please let it go, it's dangerous to act rashly in this place, you know these people are dangerous. You only need to wait for one hour more and you will collect your salary and get out of this place"

As Dan finished whispering these to him their supervisor turned and saw him standing still with a very cold glance towards the girl and he shouted:

" What are you still doing here? I told you Leko wants a drink for himself and his girlfriend, do you want to cause trouble for me? Go and serve them now!" He shouted.

Dan thought he won't respond and he wanted to go, but the supervisor insisted that Omoyemi must go, because he felt it was insubordination for him to refuse his order. With this development, Dan made a pleading gesture to Omoyemi and he put drinks on the tray in his hand

Like a robot, Omoyemi moved mechanically towards the girl, when he got there he just stood like a zombie, then Leko looked up and saw the way he was looking at his girlfriend and he shouted at him:

"Hey, scum! Why are you looking at my babe like that, do you want me to pluck your eyes out and put it into your mouth for you to chew?"

At that moment the girl also looked up to see again who is devouring her with eyes, for ever since she stepped into this place all the men in here have been doing the same to her and she is becoming so irritated.

Before her eyes got to Omoyemi's eyes level she said,

"Did I not tell you I hate coming to this kind of place?" Look at the way your friends are looking at me as if I am a toast bread that they must eat, now another devil is looking at me and you are shouting!"

When she said this Omoyemi's hand shook and as he was trying to balance the tray in his hand, the girl looked at his face and she was seriously shocked to see that he was the one who dressed in white in the morning that she almost crushed with her car and she asked:

"Hey, were you not that guy who banged my car this morning on Lagos road"

When Omoyemi heard this his hand shook violently and the wine cup on the tray slipped and pour its content on the girl. She jumped and shouted,

"What the hell is this! See my dress"

She turned to Leko and shouted,

"Look, I am done here, I am going home"

Just like that she picked her bag, pushed Omoyemi aside and rushed out, Leko tried to hold unto her; she just yanked her hand free from his hand and went out.

The moment she stepped out of sight, Leko who has been trying to act like a gentleman turned to a beast, he landed a heavy blow on Omoyemi's face before he ran after his girlfriend shouting:

"Diana wait let me deal with him"

The girl did not answer him, when Leko realized that he would not be able to convince the girl to come back with him and that this will put him in serious trouble with Poscoe, who gave him an ultimatum to bring his girlfriend to this initiation night, because a year ago he missed the initiation night.

He has been on Diana's neck for over a month because of this event, they fought and almost broke apart; it took the intervention of her father to settle their quarrel and for her to accompany her to this initiation night.

Now Omoyemi has just thrown a spanner in all he has done and cause the girl to escape.

Although he knew Diana just used this happening as an alibi; he knew she came looking for opportunity to escape, that was the reason she did not join him in his car to this place; rather she came here driving her own car.

Leko was so frustrated that he just must vent his frustration on someone and Omoyemi was the unfortunate candidate for that!

So he turned back from chasing after Diana grabbed a chair with an intention to smash it on Omoyemi's head and kill him, that was when Omoyemi lost his cool.
