C4 Chapter 4

Autumn's POV

A soft pillow, a warm room, a cozy linen, where am I? I thought as I open my heavy eyes seeing myself in a strange room. How did we get here? Where are we? I ask Amy.

"Mate, mate"" is all she says.

As that sentence means nothing to me, I get to my feet, each step I take making excruciating pain pass through me. I wobbled to the door, but went back as I hear footsteps.

Thinking about the past events of the day, made me tired. I thought about him, his well tanned body, his perfect abs glistening in the sunlight,his shirt wavy brown hair, his thin pink lips just the perfect combination. Finally, I have a mate. Someone to call mine. Someone who will cherish me for the rest of my life. Oh Moon Goddess, thank you so much for this blessing. I come back to earth because of a knock on the door. A young woman steps in. Amy growls warning her not to come closer .

"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm just here to check on your wounds, that's all"She says moving closer to me.

When she's done, she leaves the room. I hear low voices just outside my door before a young girl, dressed in clothes no better than a rag walks in. She informs me that my food will be served in my room and the Alpha doesn't want me out of my room. Also that a supply of clothes will be brought later that day. As she exits, I open the windows to release the scent and allow fresh air to circulate. Looking at myself in the mirror, I see the bruises on my face and my freckles.

I take my time to observe the room. It's a large one, painted purple and smells like lavender. It had large windows at opposite ends, and a walk in closet which was empty and lastly, a large tiled bathroom with a little bath tub. Another maid, like the first brings my meal on a small tray and sets it on a wobbly stool close to the bed. She has shirt curly red hair, a pair of sea blue eyes and she looks pale. "She'll be no more than 14 " I thought as she exits the room.

I wake up in the dead of the night. I clutch my ankle, feeling the bandage wrapped around it. I make my way to the door.

" The Alpha doesn't want you out of your room" the voice of the maid rings in my ears. Taking a deep breath, I push open the door. It creaks before it opens, and darkness swallows my room. By touching the walls, I make my way through the large hallway as it is dark. I keep moving until I get to a dead end. I put on a lantern I found in my room and turn back. I see a little passage way and I follow it and find myself in the kitchen. I wear a smile on my face as I see a piece of leftover pizza lying in it's box on the counter.

I lick my lips noisily while heading out. Time to go back to my room, I thought closing the kitchen door quietly. I move about, looking for my room when the flame of the lantern dies out.

"WTF" I say, only loud enough to be heard by only me. Using my hands,I try finding my room, but it dawns on me that I'm lost. "Could this day get any better" I get to a large room, which I figure is a study and enter inside. I see stacks of paper lying scattered on a large oak table. Beside the papers, there is a large computer. The room is ventilated with two large windows. Two small pieces of sofas are set on the corner of the room which I guess is for visitors. I open a drawer with the hope of finding a torch, but instead I feel the outline of a framed picture. Picking it up and heading towards one of the windows, I see a young boy with a short brown hair and many missing teeth in an embrace with a woman with a pale coloured face, and a long brown hair reaching her waist ."Should be his mom" I thought, when Amy goes "Mate,Mate" in my head, making me go crazy. I hear the door opening and I hold my breath not wanting to be heard. Then the light comes on.
