C3 Chapter 3

Autumn's POV

I take a shower to wash away the stench my body must be giving off. As the water cascades down my body,I feel my stress being washed away together with all the dirt. I dry myself and walk to my little closet at the rear end of the room which had my little belongings folded inside. After getting into my favourite pyjamas, I make hot tea and go to bed.

I hear a canary chirping on my window sill as I wake up. "Urrgh" I grumble not wanting to get up. I stand up and head towards the bathroom with my head aching badly. "Fuck" I mutter as my head makes contact with the bathroom door before I clumsily push it open. After performing my usual morning routine,I go to my make shift kitchen for a light breakfast. After breakfast,I leave the cottage for a run in my human form.

It's evening now, and I'm going for a hunt. I morph into my wolf and I allow myself get carried by nature. I walk very far, hoping to find a delicious steer somewhere. I cross a crystal blue river and head to the edge of the forest, slowly trotting. In no time, I see a large steer in the middle of the dark forest. I crouch down not wanting to reveal myself, before running towards it. It senses me and starts galloping. After a tiring chase, I jump in the air going for it's throat when I hear what sounds like a low growl. Looking back, I see two large brown male wolves looking furious.

I leave my steer and flee, thinking they will go after the steer and not me. To my surprise, they bolt after me closing the gap between us. I ran very fast, my paws hardly touching the ground. I get to an area which smells funny and looks darker than the other part of the forest. I look back, and see them near me. Without thinking, I run into the dark side of the forest. I keep running without looking back and when I don't hear their paws, I stop. I see I lost them . As I'm still dazzled about why they had let me go so easily, I smell a deer nearby. It was so much smaller than the first I killed, but I decide to go for it anyway. I wait for sometime, resting in the soft ticklish grass. When I start running, the deer kicks off too. I kill it with no stress and when I'm about to start enjoying my kill, a loud growl startles me. A big black wolf raises it's head in the air and gives an ear splitting howl . Not long, five other wolves emerge from the heart of the forest and surround me. All staring at me with their large eyes. I try to run away, but my weak legs betrays me. Before I know it, I'm tackled to the ground, the first wolf that saw me, sinks it's large sharp canines deep into my ankles. Blood oozed out of my injured ankle as I try standing up. A wolf pushes me down by nudging my side. I thought if the short time I spent on earth full of misery and how my demise won't be felt by anyone. As the first wolf raises it's paws, ready to end my miserable life I hear a deafening growl and a big black wolf with blood red eyes leaps forward making the others make way for him.

"Mate,Mate" Amy says to me. Looking at him in the face, I see his large head and his blood red eyes scares the living shit out if me. His scent was intoxicating, a piney and earthy like smell that attracted me to him and his aura was powerful. Amy lets me have control back as she's weak. I see him wearing only trousers. I look at his well toned muscular body with his perfect abs glistening in the sunlight. He picks me up in his arms and I shut my eyes blacking out.

Luan's POV ( his wolf)

Today is hunting day, a day secluded traditionally for all the males above 20 to hunt. I love hunting a lot especially that satisfying feeling I get when I tear the flesh off my catch.

We're currently in the forest. I see a large steer and I'm about to give it a good chase, when I smell this sweet strawberry like scent that makes me go crazy and makes me follow it. "Where are you going" Luka says in my head. I ignore him and start running towards it. I'm almost there, when I hear a loud howl.

"Mate. Mate's in trouble" I tell Luka.

"Mate?, I don't have one" he says . I ignore him again and once I see our helpless mate naked surrounded by my pack's guard wolves ,I growl.

" Don't take a step further" i mind link then. They obey and retreat, creating a path for me to advance. I give Luka back control.

Luka's POV

I quickly remove my shirt and cover the girl up the best I can and carry her as she has fainted already.

"Selina, quick come meet me at the pack house and bring your medical equipments with you"

"I"ll come right away" she says as I close the mindlink

When I get to the pack house, j see her already inside

"What happened Alpha?" She asks

" There's no time for explanations, just do your thing and leave. I thunder heading to my quarters. After an hour or so, Selina mindlinks me telling me that the girl would be up in about 4 hours, and she'll need something to eat by then.

I still can't believe the Moon Goddess gave me a mate. Not just any mate, a rogue wolf. That not possible, she can't be my mate

"You better get used to the fact and accept her" Luan tells me.

"Oh please, just shut up" I say blocking our link. I fall down on the king sized bed in my room and let sleep take me on a distant journey.
