C1 Prologue

Shelby Fay Lynx is a Lycan and witch all thanks to her parents. Her siblings Orien, Jacob missed the witch genes, but it does not mean they do not have some powers and her sister, Izzy missed the Lycan gene and is a full witch.

Her mother, Morrigan and father, Merric are alpha and Luna and their pack. Merric was a great warrior and so was Morrigan but when they were attack by vampires nothing could save them, not even the packs warriors and guards.

Shelby was away at a tournament with her brother Jacob. Jacob always went in place of her father when he could be there for her as their coach, so he entrusted Jacob to take his place not only to fight but for her protection, though she did not need it as she was a licensed assassin.

It was during her last fight, with an alpha of all people, when she started to feel off. She shook her feelings and continued to fight him. They never knew who their opponents were as they all used fake names, but he was strong and she new he was an alpha. He did not hold back because she never did except not to kill the opponent.

During her last fight she felt something that started to snap inside her, she shook it off and continued to fight. Her opponent knew what she was starting to go threw and forced to end the fight so that he could get her out of here. He mind-linked his brother what was happening to her and Jacob and to call his pack to send their warriors to her pack.

When the fight was over she was declared as winner and he guided her our of the ring, picking her up speed walking to the back where the lockers are. Jacob followed behind unable to breath and stumbling as he followed them.

She linked Jacob to call their home and he could barely hold the phone but nobody answered. He looked at her and shook his head 'no' when he fell to his knees holding his head with tears streaming down his cheeks. She held him in her arms trying to be strong as well when her opponent felt the tethers snapping in his head.

She looked at him knowing that the same thing has just happened to him as well as his warriors were fighting along with Shelby's pack to rid of the threat. Neither of them knew what the damage was and he never told her who he was or that he sent some of his people to her pack. He felt a link from his wife sending a message telling him she loved him and take care of their babies, then it broke.

He screamed holding his breath, then breathing out slowly knowing what happened to them just happened to him. He did not hate her but knew eventually she would be at his pack looking for answers.

They gathered themselves and grabbed her bag of clothes heading for the shower. Words were not exchanged but the nod of thanks and hugs were enough to say what was not said.

Could she find her two siblings and some pack members who did not pass away? How will Shelby handle her new life being an Alpha-warrior? What will become of Jacob? Now the questions were who did this and why and if there are any prisoners? God, they hopped they were safe and not taken.
