Alexis lay in their bed, which Haven was absent from, but she couldn’t help but think about their last conversation in her mind. If only she talked earlier, if only she told him not to go earlier than she later did. But she held up in silence too long, and by the time she broke out from her silence, Haven had already made plans for his journey.
