C19 Easy Way To Get Rich!

"Of course not! That's what I thought too, but I was proven wrong." The dormitory prefect motioned to all the furniture and wallpapers that were placed at the back of the truck. Her eyes shone with excitement and curiosity as she took a step closer, pulling Yu Se right behind her. "In fact, the administration sent them over, because they were made of the best quality the country has to offer. Ah! I could already imagine sleeping in one of these rooms, don't you?"

She nodded. From the looks of the decor, she could tell that they were all very exquisite, and they must've cost the department a lot of money. 'Wonder where all that extra cash came from' she thought. Although the dormitories would undergo renovations every now and then, they did it under a certain budget.

Oh well, who was she to complain?

Yu Se returned to her respective dorm, still sporting her rose-colored suit and sea-blue backpack. On the way, she even noticed how her classmates were glancing her way–albeit almost enviously. Although she was a bit uncomfortable with the attention, she still couldn't help but appreciate the way the soft fabric rubbed against her skin.

Now, she felt like any other normal teenager strutting back from her home. Back when she had free days, she'd normally wear her school uniform–even on the weekdays. It wasn't as if she had any other choice, given her lack of casual wear.

As soon as she had turned eighteen, her parents had already deemed her old enough to buy the clothes herself, even if she had already outgrown the ones she had. "Haven't we spent on you enough?" Her mother would snap every time she'd even request for a new pair of jeans, and it would soon be followed by an hour lecture of how she wasn't grateful for all the things she already had while her sisters were given new clothes weekly.

This was the first set of clothes she had.

And ironically, it was Luo Wanyi who had bought it for her. Although she still hasn't forgotten what the older woman had done in the past, her impression of her had improved a little. 'Perhaps, she really did mean well,' she mused to herself, grabbing a few of her books from her bag.

'Either way, I should ask her to deduct the cost of these clothes and this bag from my salary,' she thought. They may have gotten along well in the past few hours, but that didn't mean she'd be complacent enough in accepting any of the woman's gifts. Her finger clenched around her pen, as she stared at the ceiling. Her lips straightened into a thin line.

After all, she didn't want to owe them anything.

Yu Se spent the entire day reading her books. However, she couldn't help but think of Mo Jingyao from time to time. The last time she had seen him was this morning, and although his complexion looked a lot better than it did the night before, she didn't know if it had gone worse during her absence. Glancing at her phone, she shrugged. Maybe it didn't, or else someone would've informed her, right?

When it was almost time for the evening self-study, her dorm mates returned.

Yang Anan was the first one who entered the room, jumping onto Yu Se as soon as she had dropped her suitcase. "Hey! I heard that your sister took you into the Mo Family estate." Her eyes were so bright that she almost thought she was seeing the stars. "Did you see my hubby? My idol? My god? My–"

"Yes," she interrupted, not wanting to hear any more of her friend's rambling.

"So did you get me his autograph?"

An unconscious Mo Jingyao probably wasn't the best model for candid pictures. Otherwise, she would've followed through with her friend's request in getting an autographed picture of him. Looking away, she slowly shook her head. "Nope."

Although she wasn't able to take any pictures today or the next, that didn't mean that she wasn't going to take any pictures once he wakes up. If she was able to get a few candid shots of him, Yu Se could easily sell them online. In fact, she didn't even need to. As long as she asked her friend to spread the word around, she'd have a line of schoolgirls just waiting to buy a picture from her.

It would've been easy way to get rich!

That was definitely possible.

Now, it was the waiting game for her.

Days had passed, and her life continued. As her organs and chakras are closed, Yu Se needed to take some time to train her Nine Meridians Eight Veins Method. It was the only way she could recover, and it was also the only way she could bring Mo Jingyao back from his unconscious state. Her fingers curled on top of her lap, as her abdomen throbbed in numbed pain. She needed to master it fast.

Th at was one of the reasons why she had agreed to live in the Mo Family Estate to accompany him as she allowed her inner spirits to cultivate.

From what she had learned from that night, practicing right beside him, with that jade necklace in her hand, had a particularly good effect on both of them. It was already a win-win situation.

Besides, it also allowed her to provide fewer explanations. Back at the estate, no one was allowed to be in the room with Mo Jingyao unless they were assigned to care for him during her leave. As long as she was there, no one would come barging in until their session was over. With other people in the dormitory, she wouldn't know how to tell them why or what she was practicing.

Lu Chiang came to pick her up every day at school. Yu Se was originally opposed to the idea, but being a senior student in high school, her time was already crunched. She couldn't afford any more delays. "Fine," she grumbled in concession. "I'll go with you, as long as you park your car in front of the supermarket–not the school gates. Do we have a deal?"

It was the only way for the other students not to find out that she was heading to the Mo Family estate every day. After all, the rumors floating around the campus was already bad enough.

Although the walk to the supermarket was tiring, it was still the safest option she could think of.

Throughout the days that had passed, she became the only non-relative who had free access to Mo Jingyao's bedroom, which made it easier for her to get in or out when needed be.

Plus, her school life had improved as well. Maybe it was Luo Wanyi who had intercepted in the school board, but all the classes in the three departments had changed almost drastically. Qimei Middle School had certainly integrated a few more rules and regulations to create a more 'lax' atmosphere for its students, whatever that meant.

It was less exhausting and more forgiving as compared to her first three years in high school. Now, Yu Se only took two classes every afternoon, and the rest of the classes were done in self-study. All the professors needed to do was hand them the exercise papers, and they were off. Not bothering to object, she used this free time to head back to the estate.

The evening self-study period also started half an hour later than usual.

The first and second-year students were jealous to death!

The parents of third-years however had brought these complaints up to the administration. "Are you kidding us?" Yu Se could hear them yell every time she passed the teacher's lounge. "I don't remember agreeing to this!"

"I'm sorry, Sir, but we're only following the rules that were given to us," the principal would respond, while sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.

Besides that, the school went on normally. On Fridays, respective parents would arrive at school to pick up their children with plans to drop them off by Sunday Night. "I've missed you," they would yell in ecstasy as they hugged their children. "Now, let's go back and see what we'll eat tonight? I'm starving! Are you? Your brothers and sisters..."

All of them were looking forward to spend the weekend back at home.

To feel so loved...

Yu Se sighed. Ever since she had left home, she didn't receive a single phone call from her parents.
