C13 THE MERGER OF THE BULLIES 2

When he got home he made a research about Ewanimi and he found out that her parents were rich too, though not as stupendously wealthy as his own parents. With this he knew that Ewanimi was not a girl that will throw herself on him for money or other sweet nothings that drew other ladies attention to him because she lacked nothing that money could buy.

So he now have to find a way to make Ewanimi his own girl. Ewanimi on her own knew that Rotimi would not just accept her no without a fierce fight, so she decided to find more information about him; so that she would know how to put him in his place

In her bid to know him more she discovered that the new gigantic library project under construction in their campus was a donation from Rotimi's father to the institution in Rotimi's name and Rotimi was the direct supervisor of the project.

This was his father's way of making the school authority to have a very deep respect for his only son, but the reason he chose to build a library and not some other thing was because Rotimi complained about the deplorable state of the library to him when he joined the school newly.

He does not visit the old library because the place was too stuffy, so his dad used to buy any book he needed for him so that he won't visit the library. At first when he talked to his dad about the deplorable state of the library, his father's intention was to renovate the place for the school; but when the cost of the renovation was just a few million lower than the cost of constructing a new one he decided to build a new library

With this decision, he approached the school authority and told them that he would build a new library for the school because his son asked him to build it and his son should be the supervisor of the project. He made this decision to make Rotimi the supervisor because he wants the school authority to look up to him.

The school authority knew this was a great opportunity for the school, so they agreed with his proposal and the library project started with Rotimi in charge. This made him so popular and untouchable in the campus, for he was often seen leading the school governing board around the project site while he explained things about the ongoing project to them.

The site Engineer gives weekly report of the building to Rotimi and Rotimi directly paid all the manual labourers their weekly wages

When Ewanimi discovered these about Rotimi, though she did not like him because of his whorish attitudes and because he was prone to violence, she decided to befriend and make him to concentrate only on her.

Another reason she decided to date him was to use his power to oppress Olamide, because Olamide worked at the site he was supervising. She hope to turn Rotimi's heart against him and chase him out of the site

For these reasons she waited for Rotimi to come back to her and he did come back. When he came back Ewanimi told him straight that she would not entertain him while his cronies hanged around them; that he must come alone when he wants to talk to her.

Since Rotimi desperately wanted to own her he agreed to her demands and he unconsciously became a person Ewanimi began to dominate, he came back another day alone to her rented apartment as she asked him.

Though he met her request, still she did not let him into her apartment. And when he asked her why she refused to let him in, she told him he was too controversial for her liking; that she can only date a person who live a simple life.

Like a joke the person who made a vow to tame Ewanimi became a person that Ewanimi gradually pruned and tamed as they gradually became intimate.

At the begining of their relationship they had many quarrels, because each of them went into the relationship to tame the other person. And because the two were acutely smart they played a lot of brain game along the way in their bid to tame each other.

To Ewanimi's credit, though she was highly exotic but she hate going to parties like other girls used to with Rotimi. Having agreed to be his girlfriend, in a give and take spirit, she began to attend some parties with him but Rotimi frequencies too at parties greatly reduced because Ewanimi do refuse to accompany him to many. At a point he only attended parties during weekends and he who was rarely seen in the library now frequently accompany Ewanimi to the library.

Unlike all other ladies he had befriended, Ewanimi never asked him for money nor took money from him when he offered it; even when they are both out and they bought things Rotimi always fight with her to allow him to pay for what she bought. One day he asked him why she did not always want him to pay?

Ewanimi answered,

"Why will I let you pay when I have the money to pay? Moreover, my mother told me never to covet free foods because most of the times free foods comes with a hidden price tags! That means there is no free food anywhere in this world. So those who take what is not free as free things will eventually lose something they cannot afford to give away freely at the end!"

As they moved forward in their relationship, the day finally came when Ewanimi followed Rotimi to the library site, to her surprised she saw that Rotimi was well aquatinted with Olamide and that he has slight dislike for him.

The reason for his dislike of Olamide was because he wanted Olamide to join his entourage and stopped working at the site for money to sustain himself, but Olamide refused to join him

His attention was first drawn to Olamide when the site Engineer who has been his father's Engineer over many projects told him that there was a student in the site who looked like his identical twin. Later his father too while walking through the place one day saw Olamide and told Rotimi the same thing.

Due to this he purposely sought him out, but to his dismay Olamide chose to continue to work there rather than join his cronies.
