-Ten minutes later-

The foreigner who was now known as Wang Dakai was breathing hard whilst cold sweat kept coming out of his forehead

His back was completely stiff his hands holding unto the cards kept trembling like a tree branch in the rainy season, his bloodless complexion made him look like a ghost.

His expression kept on changing from one emotion to the next like a rollercoaster, the most prominent of them was rage, despair, determination and defeat.

Finally his face settled with a crazed look like an injured animal while muttering incoherently to himself;

‘No I refuse to admit defeat’;

‘I don’t believe I will lose all this money here.’

‘I have to get back everything no matter what’;

‘I refuse to admit defeat to anyone much less to a little girl’

All his rich expressions and little movements were all accurately captured by his opponent, what he didn’t realize was the fact that his expression wasn’t as ferocious as he thought; on the contrary it looked comical.

Seeing this she tilted her head to the side and remained indifferent.

'He man brought this upon himself I initially only came to get this two morons and ignore him yet he actually took the initiative to come over and die' she thought.

From the beginning it was always him looking for trouble, all he had to do was look around him at the reactions of all the people present when this person came in here

Butut he was just completely focused on being complacent but as they say ‘pride goes before a fall’ now he regretted ever challenging this person

He just wanted to make some cash and gain personal benefits using business funds, who knew that all the money he had initially taken out plus all he had won so far was all gone

His body trembled making her raise an eyebrow while smirking coldly making the bulky man’s fingers tremble in trepidation

She turned around and cast a gaze behind her only to find the foreigner looking at her complacently

“Little guy, although your skills are quite good, gambling doesn’t just require skills to win the money, but the ability to keep the money and spend it, unfortunately you’re only able to win the money but not keep or spend it” he said mockingly

But don’t worry I’m not a shameless person so I’ll give you a chance, why don’t you obediently accompany me tonight and I might just be nice enough to take you with me abroad you can’t waste your talent here right?” He stated proudly with his chin held high and his nose in the air while looking at her.

Nichole simply chuckled at his words and cast a playful gaze on him and smiled seductively making the bulky bodyguards tremble uncontrollably

They unanimously cast her a pleading look which she ignored and looked towards Mr. Dakai

“Is that so?” she asked

She spoke casually yet the words the carried an unprecedented pressure which directly attacked wrapped around him.

Shocked he forgot to react because the pressure he felt from her was one he’d never felt before not even his boss had that powerful aura

Him who has lived and mixed into the underworld for such a long time has never allowed himself to suffer any losses

Nobody has ever treated him acted so arrogantly before him, they were all trying to be nice n curry favors with him, thinking like this made him angry.

Despite his thoughts, he gave nothing away and calmly nodded with a proud expression and waved his hand indicating for her to look around the private room, which she just rolled her beautiful brows at him then smirked eerily.

Her nonchalant attitude made the man’s anger surge through his body and he exploded furiously

He slammed his right hand on the table while roaring screaming at the top of his lungs for the bodyguards to make a move.

‘How dare this little b***h act so arrogantly with me?

Even the old man back at the sect has to be tactful when talking to me. I have to teach you a lesson today’ he thought.

The bodyguards moved swiftly and approached her forcefully as ordered but abruptly stopped at arm’s length to Nichole and tremblingly saluted her like military officers

She nodded slightly to them as they moved obediently to her left and right sides protectively while their gaze towards Nichole was filled with utmost respect.

This outcome completely confused and infuriated Dakai who angrily gnashed his teeth at the situation but still maintained some reason to think about the sudden change of the situation.

Obviously they were the bodyguards provided for him by the security company, logically he was their boss.

But he still couldn’t understand what was going on, he turned to look at the other men around and see their reaction while hoping to also get an clarification from them

To his horror the other people were actually on tyeir knees right before that little s**t like obedient dogs.

He turned around suspiciously hoping to get some insight but what entered his sight made him even more confused as everyone simply had the attitude of watching a good show

Including the little beauty that had previously served him well, yet she looked at him with undisguised disdain while the other beauties whispered to each other.

‘To think he actually dared to bring dirty money into town to do business and even arrogantly came to EMPRESS to cause a ruckus’.

‘What a foolish old man, he doesn’t realize that EMPRESS belongs to the military people right?’

‘That’s right, if he knew I doubt he would dare to come here. I heard he’s here to do some laundering or something like that and is still looking for extra benefits, how ambitious’

‘Well he dared to provoke EMPRESS’ boss which means he can forget about leaving the city peacefully and I’m sure the underground powers wont dare make a move to save him, after all who wants to have a faceoff with the military?’

The discussions continued in whispers and slowly but surely, the foreigner finally realized he had made a serious mistake and offended those he shouldn’t offend.

Thinking this way he felt a chill run down his spine and directly plopped down on the couch like a deflated balloon.

Nichole simply smiled nonchalantly and gave him a meaningful smile before she opened the door to the private room where a few men in military uniform saluted respectfully

She cast them a cold glance and looked at the two men standing behind her and gave an other on the ground with a stern expression

“Sick ‘em” she said viciously, her voice laced with venom

“Yes Commander” the soldiers replied vigorously

She nodded in satisfaction before she swaggered away while humming a happy tone which sounded like the Asura king’s harp to the foreigner who had Goosebumps all over his body

He frantically searched for an escape route but still came up empty of ideas then silently gave up as he looked ahead lifelessly.

‘I’m done for’ He thought

-Inside the EMPRESS’ general manager’s office -

Three men stood by the side while Nichole sat on the black leather chair behind the large oak wood table and scanned their battered faces with a very sharp gaze making the three men shudder in fear

“Mercenary paradise, Vermillion bird, crocodile dance”… she slowly called out with a meaningful tone yet playful smirk on her face

“Yes boss”…. They replied in unison

They looked as though they were standing on pins and could pee their pants the next moment.

She coldly glared at them then rose from her seat and made her way before the three men and eyed them contemptuously.

“I gave each one of you a task today and you failed me” she paused

“what to do about it? What to do? What to do?” she slowly continued in a sing-song-tone

The three men nearly fainted when they saw the enigmatic smile that graced their boss’ face, before any of them could speak she slowly picked up the internal landline and punched a few numbers on it

“Prepare the chopper, we’re leaving now and tell the manager to restart the surveillance cameras in fifteen minutes, dismiss the crew once they arrive, I’m flying that bird myself…” she said coldly

Hastily gave out a few instructions to the people on the other side and scanned the terrified faces of her subordinates and her expression darkened.

Nichole quietly picked up her cape and directly walked out without saying a word leaving her subordinates who scrambled up tailing behind her quietly as she headed to the rooftop

She slightly turned her head and saw them obediently following her from a little distance and snorted coldly at them.
