*In the mermaid world*

Ga Eun's POV

I sat in my room thinking hard of what to do. My mother was the closest to Queen Hwa Young before she passed away.

Not long after the Queen passed away, my mother also died and I think she was murdered.

Before she died, she handed a necklace to me. The necklace belongs to Princess Ae Ri and I'm to give it to her when she returns to the palace.

But judging from the look of things, I don't think she will ever come back. If I don't do something now, I fear Queen Young Soo will continue ruling and pass it down to her daughter.

If this necklace doesn't get to the princess, she will never find out who she is.

I think going to earth will be the best thing to do, I have to look for the princess on earth. It's going to be really difficult to find her because I've never seen her before, but I'm willing to give it a try.

I took the important things I will be needing and decided to wait till the next day before leaving for earth.

Ae Ri's POV

I smiled at myself as I thought about the time I spent with Ye Jun. This is the first time I will be going out with someone that isn't my parent and truth be told, it was kind of fun.

I enjoyed myself to the fullest and during that period, I forgot about my problems. He was right about that.

I sighed tiredly as I thought about my late parents. If only they were alive, I won't be experiencing this things.

Even if I happen to experience it, they will be here to comfort me. Should I try crying to see if my tears will turn to pearls?

After that one time, I haven't seen my tears turn to pearls. Maybe I was hallucinating.

I thought about all the things happening to me and it wasn't long before I started crying. I waited for the tears to drop and when they did, they turned to pearls.

So it was real? I'm done for! It means I can't cry in public because if I do, people might stone me to death or just do something bad to me.

My stomach grumbled making me remember I haven't really eaten since morning. I wore my flip flop and went to the kitchen to cook for myself since I don't know if the one they prepared is poisoned or not.

I took out pasta and the ingredients I'm to use. Withing some minutes, the pasta was ready and I dished it out before taking it to my room.

I ate to my fill and returned the plates to the kitchen. I took out my books and read for a while before going to dreamland.

I woke up the next morning and freshened up hurriedly, I don't know why I woke up late today.

I wore my clothes and went to school in my car. Thank goodness I still made it on time, classes are just about to begin.

When I got into my class, the first person I saw was Ye Jun. I waved at him with a smile and walked to my seat.

I heard murmurings among the students and their thoughts but I choose to ignore it. They can say whatever they want for all I care.

Classes commenced and not too long after, it was lunch time. I kept my books in my bag and went to Ye Jun.

"You're looking extremely beautiful today, I think you should smile often" he said the moment I got to him making me blush slightly

"Thank you. You look good too" I said shyly

"Thanks. Should we go to the cafeteria?" he asked standing up

"Sure! It'll be nice eating with someone for the first time, eating alone is usually boring"

"Awwn!! I'm honoured to be the first" he said placing his hand on his chest dramatically

"Come on, let's go" I said hitting his arm playfully

We got to the cafeteria and ordered for food before looking for a table to sit. We didn't have to search for long before we saw a vacant table.

We sat there facing each other and ate our food slowly without a word.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked when I couldn't take it anymore

"You're beautiful"

"You've said that before"

"Alright, I won't say it again" he said raising his hands in surrender

"Better" I said with an eyeroll

We were done with our foods in few minutes after which we headed back to class.

"Don't you think we should sit together? I asked him on our way to class

"That'll be great. Should I move to your seat or you'll move to mine?" he asked happily

"You should be the one to move, not me"

"Yes milady" he said bowing and we both burst into laughter

Immediately we got to class, he packed his things and came to sit beside me which made me feel complete. I just hope we are friends until the end.

Chung Cha's POV

I smiled sheepishly as the thought of going to earth clouded my mind. My mom, Queen Chin Sun of Atlanta kingdom sent me on an errand.

I'm to go to earth as a student to kidnap the princess of Oceana kingdom. Mom was able to kill her parents but the stupid princess had to survive.

The mission given to me now is to go to earth and bring her here so we can finish her off, but I can't leave now. I have to wait till night time when humans would have gone to bed.

I already know the school she attends but I can't recognize her because no one has ever seen her before. Her parents never took her to Oceana till they passed away.

I only have to rely on my powers in searching for her and I know it's not going to be easy.

*Evening time*

Authoress' POV

A mermaid could be seen swimming towards the surface of the earth and it was none other than Princess Chung Cha of Atlantis kingdom.

She arrived on the sand making her tale disappear with a pair of legs replacing them. She laid on the sand nakedly as she was too tired to stand.

After few minutes, she was finally able to stand and when she did, she wore the clothes that she stole on earth in the afternoon.

She had already sold some pearls which gave her lots of money and she had bought a mansion online through her magical powers.

Immediately she wore the clothes, she went to the mansion and slept off hoping to get new clothes and shoes the next day.

In Oceana, Ga Eun could be seen tying her belongings together. When she was done, she started tiptoeing out of her room.

She was able to get into the sea without being noticed by the guards and she was really grateful for that.

If the guards had noticed her, she would have been taken to the Queen who will order for her execution immediately.

She laid on the sand as she was too weak to stand up as a result of the strength she consumed when turning her tail into a pair of legs.

She was finally able to stand up after few minutes and immediately wore the clothes she took with her.

After wearing the clothes, she didn't know where to go to. She had pearls with her already but it was late at night and humans were asleep already.

She walked around for a while before she saw an abandoned house. She didn't hesitate to walk inside.

All she had to do was sleep there that night and look for someone to buy the pearls the next day so she can start her mission.

The place looked kind of scary though but she doesn't have a choice.

"It's only for tonight" she assured herself as she slept off.
