I stuttered.

I couldn't believe what I had just heard . I prayed silently that it was from me , that I heard him wrongly, that my hearing was faulty.

If it was true , that he was speaking to someone at the other end,a woman obviously , then I definitely don't know this man I was mated to.

Why now ?
