C20 20

I get on my motorcycle and start driving to the outskirts of the city, this time calmer. The sun hits my body, but the wind breeze from the speed eases the heat a bit.

When I arrive at my father's mansion, which is hidden in the undergrowth, two tall black gates open in front of me, allowing me to enter the huge garden full of hedges cut in different shapes and surrounded by small cars that I don't even want to know how much. they will have cost you.

I park the bike and get off. At the front door, two women dressed as servants who are next to some stone figures in the shape of dangerous dogs welcome me, a bit blushing to see me without a shirt. I don't answer them and I don't hesitate long before going in and up the big red velvet-carpeted stairs that lead upstairs.

I look for his office and enter without knocking. My lungs fill up immediately with the smoke in the room caused by the cigar that is being smoked. I walk over to the big red leather chair where he is sitting and extend my hand. Without saying anything, he hands me a small bag of pills and I put it in my pocket.

Fast and easy.

-How much they cost?

-Two Hundred- He pronounces before expelling more smoke through his lips, helping to fill the room-Bring me half when you have it, the rest, you can keep it.

A silence settles in and I take the opportunity to take a cigar from the wooden box on the table and light it, to bring it to my lips.

- Is that now exhibitions have become fashionable? -He says raising his eyes for the first time to look at my bare chest. Anyone who saw him would say that he has not changed his expression, but knowing him so well, I know that what he has now is a grimace of disgust.- You look like a brat with so many tattoos and earrings.

I give a dry laugh, which is more like a puff.

-My dick sweats what you think, are you going to tell me where I have to deliver them, or do I have to guess?

He doesn't flinch when I speak to him like that, and I'm not surprised, after everything he's caused in my life, I have every right.

-In the park of Grand Park Street, next to the fountain, about two-thirty. -I nod. The name of the boy to whom I have to give them sounds like a lot to me, but I don't know what.

- I'll give you your hundred dollars, you know, in case you go broke- I say sarcastically, turning around.

I don't know why the hell he wants a hundred dollars with all the money he already has leftover.

-Close the door behind you- he murmurs in response.

I smile and leave the room without saying anything else, leaving the door wide open. I take the cigar out of my mouth and put it inside the vase of water and flowers at the top of the stairs, watching him drown. Then I go down the steps two by two and go into one of the corridors where there is a large closet with clothes. I grab a black short-sleeved T-shirt and put it on even though it smells like cheap cologne, which is ironic because I know this cologne is worth more than Scott's flat.

I leave the mansion and get on my motorcycle, to go to the meeting place, which I arrive just in time.

When I get to the fountain, I see a tall brown boy swinging from one foot to the other and he seems to be nervous and impatient. And when I see it closer, I fall.

- Jason Cooper ...- I murmur with a malicious smile approaching him. He swallows and looks at me without understanding, until I take the pills out of my pocket, and looking at them, it seems that he wants to run away. Interesting ... What will Lailah's friend do buying drugs? I'd swear he's a daddy's boy- They say you're a friend of Lailah Gozt ...- I add.

I'm going to have fun with this.

- I-I ...- He clears his throat- Do you know her?

-Quiet, I won't tell him anything- I say as if I had no bad intentions. He lets out a sigh- Unless you don't do what I ask, of course. Then I'll sing like a little bird.

Yes, I am blackmailing you, but let no one judge me, it is for a good cause.

His hands are sweating and he seems not to understand anything, he has gone pale.

-W-what do you want me to do?

-To begin with, pay me the pills man, I have not driven here for fun. - Jason nods and takes a wad of bills from his pocket, I do the count and check that it is correct.- Now I would like you and me to talk business.

Jason nods nervously. I grin maliciously.

-Wouldn't you like to have a new friend?

XXX

LAILAH

I walk slowly through the square and kick the stones that I see along the way. Suddenly someone grabs my arm and I cringe, scared.

-Lailah! - Derek greets me. Shit. Surely her face is full of mascara smeared and hideous.- What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in high school?

I fake a smile.

-Well, I could ask the same.

-Okay, truce. -He says raising his hands as a sign of peace.- I was with some friends having some beers at the bar, but they have already left. Would you like to go to the movies or have a drink? he asks in a good mood.

I think about it for a moment, but where else am I going to go? I'm not going to go home during school hours because if Mom or Jim saw me, my hair would fall out, and all my friends are in high school. Besides, Derek is a good company right now. What I need right now is to clear myself from everything and that is just what he is offering me.

-There is a scary movie that I wanted to see. -Comment this time, with a more sincere smile.

-Uuh, I like it. -He says seductively.- Come on, I have my car parked near here.

Derek and I decide to go to the movies and watch a movie about a killer clown in which I blindfold almost half the time. When we go out, he invites me to a creamy ice cream and we chat for a while amicably until we get up and decide to walk around the park where we were before.

I feel him intertwine his hand with mine and I get a little uncomfortable, but I don't say anything because after a while it becomes comforting.

Derek tells me about everything that happened with Lexy and I just nod my head, looking at the ground. At that, I notice Derek suddenly stands up from me and mutters an "oh oh ..."

When I look up, I see Azael glaring at us, with Jason at his side.

What the hell is Jason doing with Azael?

This one looks me up and down. There's a flash of darkness in his eyes that makes me want to run, but I stand tall and hold my head high. I'm not going to show you what it does to me. Not for the second time in a day, at least.

Shit, they're coming this way.

For a moment I think about making him jealous with Derek, but knowing how it turned out last time, I rethink it.

-Are you not learning your lesson or are you deaf?- Azael asks as soon as he approaches us- I have well told you to stay away from her-he murmurs. He seems very pissed off.

I watch Derek snort, holding himself back, but I'm not going to keep quiet, so I'm the one answering.

-I'm not yours, Azael. -I speak almost as if I was laughing.- The one who does not learn the lesson is you, it seems that you have not yet found out that I do not want to see you anymore. -His eyes are fixed on mine, indecipherable.- Go annoy Cara, she will follow the roll. -I spit with poison.

Jason seems to be very confused and looks at me demanding an explanation. An awkward silence settles in which Azael doesn't take his eyes off mine.

-Thanks for the appointment, Lailah. But I think I'm going now. -Derek speaks breaking the silence and trying to provoke Azael, since this is not a date.

He clenches his jaw. I know he's controlling himself too since if I hadn't been in front I would have jumped on Derek by now and smashed his face.

Derek kisses my cheek under Azael's watchful eyes, then turns and disappears from the park.

I'm going to go too, I don't want to stay here to see the boy I have been crying for a few hours ago with my best friend's traitor. I turn around but I feel my feet lift off the ground and in a few seconds I'm on someone's shoulders.

Azael.

- Put me down stupid!- I kick and move my arms but he doesn't flinch.

-Your- I suppose you're pointing at Jason- Go away.

Azael starts walking and I yell for him to get off like crazy. Is it that nobody is seeing us? They even kidnap me and no one would find out.

When he finally gets me down and I look around, I see that we are at a dead-end where his motorcycle is parked.

Perfect.

Azael is standing right in front of me, with his tattooed arms crossed, and when I look into his eyes, my throat tightens and I dive into them as if they were two black fireballs that when looking at them would burn me, ending my existence.

-You and I are going to talk, and you are not going to leave here until everything is clarified.
