C11 Plans!

On the way, Qianxun kept her Divine Sense open, observing the surroundings. Suddenly, a shadow flickered by. Qianxun wanted to give chase, but someone else beat her to it, leaving the rest of the group in awe.

“No wonder he's considered a genius among the younger generation of the Su family—his Divine Sense is extraordinary,” Su Yue remarked with a smile, her eyes full of admiration.

Qianxun, unfamiliar with this Divine Sense, felt puzzled. The shadow wasn't too far, yet only she and Su Zimo noticed it. Could it be that Divine Sense is also limited by one's cultivation level?

Curious to understand, Qianxun moved closer to Su Changyi and quietly asked, “Did Brother Su Zimo notice something urgent?”

Su Changyi chuckled, “Probably. Brother Zimo’s Divine Sense must have picked up on something. Our cultivation isn’t high enough, so the range of our Divine Sense is limited.”

So that’s how it is. Divine Sense seems like a second pair of eyes, but it sees further and deeper than the naked eye. Su Qianxun pondered silently.

“Brother, how does one improve their Divine Sense? Are some people just naturally gifted with it?”

“Divine Sense improves with cultivation. There might be specific techniques to enhance it, given how vast and varied the world is. As for being naturally gifted, that’s uncertain. Some people might just have different fortunes.”

Is my heightened awareness something I was just born with, or is it because I've lived two lives? In my previous life, I was pretty strong-willed, after all.

"Qianxun, why the sudden interest in this?" Changyi asked.

Qianxun snapped back to reality and smiled, "Oh, it's nothing, just curious. You know, it's good to ask questions and learn."

"Yeah, you should learn more. Living in the Spirit Manor for decades, what could you possibly know..." Yue sneered, clearly unimpressed.

Changyi patted Qianxun on the shoulder, and she signaled him not to worry. She walked up to Yue, "Senior Sister, I've lived in the Spirit Manor for years, but don't forget, I'm the daughter of Helan Ruoling. Even if I seem ordinary now, who knows? One day, I might ascend to greater heights. What will you do then?"

"Returning to Fallen Mountain City, I only wish to ease my father's burdens and achieve greatness. As cultivators, we're not destined for ordinary lives. So why bicker over trivial matters like common folk?"

With that, Qianxun moved on, not wanting to argue, especially when the Su family was in trouble.

"Qianxun, you're just riding on your mother's reputation. If you're so great, why don't you prove it against me?" Yue shouted angrily.

Su Qianxun continued her steady pace, showing no intention of acknowledging Su Yue.

Seeing this, Su Chen tried to ease the awkward atmosphere, "Tianming, Tingzhi, Dongzhuo, Su Yue, let's go check on Brother Zimo."

"Alright." Despite her reluctance, Su Yue had no choice but to follow Su Chen and the others to find Brother Zimo.

Back at the spirit mine, Qianxun tied the person to a post and returned to her room. She pondered over the situation, sensing that to prevent further issues at the mine, she needed to make the Liu and Wei families submit, and remove any other family members from the Su family's spirit mine.

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.

"Come in," she said, and Su Changyi opened the door.

"May I come in, Junior Sister?" Su Changyi asked gently.

"Of course, please have a seat." Su Changyi closed the door and sat down.

"With tonight's events, the demonic beast attacks seem to have come to an end. What do you think we should do next?" Su Changyi inquired.

Qianxun glanced casually outside the door and replied, "Do you really think it's over?"

Su Changyi's smile faded as he furrowed his brow, pondering for a moment before asking, "What do you mean, Junior Sister Qianxun?"

"This incident involved people from the Liu and Wei families. I want to take this opportunity to bring their spirit mines under the Su family's control. In Fallen Mountain City, those smaller families likely already look to the Zhao family for leadership. As members of the Su family, since we're here, why not resolve this once and for all? What do you think, Senior Brother?"

"This... what Junior Sister Qianxun said does make some sense, but we need to discuss it further." Su Changyi felt that this matter was of great importance and needed careful consideration.

"Feel free, Senior Brother. With our abilities, we can handle these miners. I just want to ease the burden on the family," Su Qianxun replied with a calm smile.

Outside, a worker pondered for a moment before heading to a secluded spot. "You go notify the Liu and Wei families, and I'll head to Fallen Mountain City to inform the Zhao family." The two disappeared into the vast night.

After sitting for a short while, Su Changyi left. Su Qianxun immediately set out to track down the eavesdropping worker, expanding her search with her keen senses.

Su Qianxun figured the worker would return to Fallen Mountain City. After all, the spirit mine was crucial for a family like theirs, and such a significant issue couldn't be handled lightly.

As she walked, searching for the person, she finally spotted the one fleeing in haste. By then, about half an hour had passed.

The person noticed Su Qianxun and ran for their life, but she wasn't about to let them go, chasing them all the way to the edge of a cliff.

Su Qianxun looked at the person, who was clearly panicked. "Why betray the family?"

The person sneered, "I was never part of the family, so how could it be betrayal?"

Su Qianxun frowned, "What do you mean by that?"

The person continued to smile, "As someone who's about to die, why not tell you? A long time ago, the Zhao family began their scheme. The Su family in Fallen Mountain City is one of the four major cultivation families in the southern region. But as the continent's resources dwindled, they began to decline. The Zhao family has long wanted to take their place."

"Every year, the Su family visits small villages to find those with a Spirit Root. It was during this time that the Zhao family found a loophole, placing a blood curse on people like us and sending us into the Su family. Although we owe the Su family, we are forced to betray them at every turn."

"What a wicked plan," Su Qianxun said. Although she didn't know what the blood curse was, its name alone suggested it was nothing good.

"Since you remember the Su family's kindness, can you tell me if there's anyone else in the Su family who is your accomplice?"

"Yes, there is another person who entered the Su family with me. She's a woman with exceptional talent and is now one of the Su family's elite disciples. Her name is Su... ah..." Before he could finish, the person let out a scream, his eyes filled with a vivid red.

Clutching his head, his face twisted in apparent agony, and suddenly, he exploded. Su Qianxun, standing too close, was thrown several yards away and lost consciousness.
