C12 Great Battle!
Su Zimo, along with Su Changyi and others, returned swiftly. Su Changyi relayed Su Qianxun's proposal to the group, and to everyone's surprise, Su Zimo agreed immediately. This was unexpected, as the Su family and the Zhao family had not yet openly clashed. If the Su family initiated conflict, it might disrupt the leader's plans.
What shocked everyone even more was Su Zimo's decision to launch a night raid. After much deliberation, they concluded the potential benefits outweighed the risks. With a show of force, dissenters were eliminated, while those who surrendered were spared.
Interrogations revealed the names of those with ulterior motives, who were then dealt with accordingly. The elite disciples of the Su family initiated a significant upheaval in the Spirit Mine, unaware that the entire South Domain, and even the surrounding regions, were being stirred by Su Qianxun's actions.
Among the most active was Murong Mingyue, a young prodigy from the Murong family's younger generation. Her reputation as a genius was well-known across the regions. At just sixteen, she had already reached the ninth level of the Qi Refining Stage, an extraordinary achievement for someone so young.
Currently, Murong Mingyue was visiting the Su family in Fallen Mountain City, determined to meet Su Qianxun and challenge him. Though proud and headstrong, she possessed an indomitable spirit and an intense competitive drive.
Su Baihan repeatedly informed that Su Qianxun had gone out for training, but Murong Mingyue was not one to give up easily. She had held the title of genius for a long time, standing at the top without a rival, and it was truly lonely.
While staying at the Su family residence, Murong Mingyue's people were secretly investigating Su Qianxun's whereabouts. Meanwhile, various cultivation families sent their disciples to Fallen Mountain City. Helan Ruoling had once been incredibly stunning, and her daughter was bound to amaze the world.
Not just these cultivation families, but even some sects were stirred into action. On the Low Essence Continent, there were four sects, three clans, two schools, and one academy, with sects spread across the north, south, east, and west regions. The central academy, located in the central region, was the highest institution. The three clans and two schools were considered secretive, admitting only those with exceptional talent, which made their disciples extremely rare.
In the Spirit Mine, Su Zimo and the others resolved the issue completely, only to discover that Su Qianxun had disappeared. Eleven people went out searching, and shortly after leaving the Spirit Mine, they encountered Zhao Fuming leading the Zhao family disciples.
"Su family kids, today is the day you meet your end," Zhao Fuming sneered, his mustache twitching with each word.
Su Zimo and the others tensed up, focusing on Zhao Fuming. "How did you know we were here?"
"Hahaha, is there anything in this city I don't know about?" The arrogant tone made everyone feel uneasy.
"Hey, where's that one person? Su Qianxun, Helan Ruoling's daughter? That little troublemaker destroyed so many of my vines last time. Today, I'll make sure she pays double." The sinister voice matched the twisted, menacing expression.
Su Chen thought quickly, "Hmph, my junior sister Qianxun must have gone to find my uncle. He just sent word that he's coming to check the Spirit Mine, and she's gone to meet him." Su Chen silently prayed that Zhao Fuming would back off, or the consequences would be dire.
Zhao Fuming lowered his gaze, contemplating. It seemed a quick resolution was necessary.
"Go," Zhao Fuming gestured, and his followers rushed forward, clashing with the Su family members.
Swords clashed, and magic lit up the scene. Su Zimo's eyes were intense, his sword moving like a dragon, swiftly taking down many of Zhao's followers.
Standing tall, Su Zimo pointed his sword at Zhao Fuming, who stroked his mustache and moved, unleashing countless vines. Su Zimo's sword moved faster and faster.
The Sky Wolf Sword howled like a wolf, its tip trembling slightly. More vines surrounded him, and with Zhao Fuming's oppressive aura, if not for the surge of fighting spirit within him, he might have already been overwhelmed and forced to yield.
Su Zimo gave it everything he had, slicing through with his sword to create a large opening. Using the vines for leverage, he leaped up, his sword, the Heavenly Wolf, radiating a fierce, sharp light, humming with excitement from the battle.
The aura around Su Zimo began to rise as he clasped the sword with both hands and struck down fiercely, the light as ferocious as a wolf. Zhao Fuming quickly retracted the vines, forming a shield around himself.
With a loud "bang," Su Zimo fell, and Zhao Fuming staggered back a few steps, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. Countless vines lay severed on the ground, only to sprout anew.
"Brother Zimo..." A group rushed to Su Zimo's side, helping him up as he weakly closed his eyes.
Su Zimo, at the seventh level of the Qi Refining Stage, was up against the battle-hardened Zhao Fuming at the first level of the Foundation Establishment Stage. It was like an egg trying to break a rock.
With Su Zimo severely injured, the Su family lost a key fighter, leaving them with little chance against Zhao Fuming.
"You dare harm Brother Zimo..." Su Rou shouted fiercely, raising her sword to charge.
"The Su family fears nothing. If we die here, so be it. In eighteen years, we'll be back as strong as ever," Su Guangyao spat, rallying the Su family disciples with a battle cry.
Caught in a relentless struggle with Zhao Fuming, they were knocked down repeatedly, yet stood up each time, refusing to surrender or submit. Seeing this, Zhao Fuming decided to unleash his ultimate move, aiming for a swift victory before Su Bainan could arrive and complicate matters.
"Piercing Heart of the Forest." Countless vines, as if injected with a catalyst, grew wildly, each as thick as ancient trees.
"Su Dongzhuo, use your fire technique now!" Su Chen shouted.
Su Dongzhuo responded, and a small flame flickered to life. The nearby vines recoiled, and he smiled with relief. But suddenly, the vines surged back, overwhelming him, and the flame was snuffed out in the chaos.
His smile froze as the furious vines wrapped around him, coiling from head to toe with no gaps, tightening relentlessly.
"Dongzhuo..." Su Tingzhi called, leaping into action, striking at the vines entangling Su Dongzhuo. But another vine caught Su Tingzhi, lifting him high before violently tossing him aside.
The vines around Su Dongzhuo constricted further, blood dripping onto them, visibly absorbed in an instant.
In no time, the vines wrapped around Su Dongzhuo grew thicker, and he vanished without a trace, not even leaving a bone behind.
At the cliff's edge, Su Qianxun finally regained consciousness. Her outer garment had been shattered, but she couldn't worry about that now. As she looked up, she noticed the thick, swaying vines not far away and suddenly remembered the mustached man outside Fallen Mountain City. Alarmed, she pulled out a tracking talisman and slapped it on herself, arriving at the battlefield in moments.
The mustached man laughed wildly, his arrogance unchecked. Several of her senior brothers and sisters were entangled in the vines. Su Qianxun was anxious; with her current skills, rushing in would mean certain death. Even with the tracking talisman, returning to Fallen Mountain City in time seemed impossible.
As she pondered, the sound of explosions snapped her attention back. Several figures fell heavily to the ground; they had used talisman papers to save themselves. But this only fueled Zhao Fuming's murderous intent, and the vines grew even more formidable. Now, they were too exhausted to fight.
Seeing this, Su Qianxun took out dozens of fire talisman papers, her mind racing through the formation of a basic fire serpent array.
When she opened her eyes, she was confident and ready. With a wave of her hand, talisman papers floated to her fellow disciples, surrounding the massive vines. Each took their position as the talisman papers emitted a brilliant red glow. The formation activated, and a giant fiery serpent erupted, flames blazing wherever it passed.
Su Qianxun, feeling her energy waning, quickly swallowed a pill. Such talisman formations were immensely powerful, but they also consumed a tremendous amount of spiritual force. The fiery serpent soared into the sky before diving down to attack Zhao Fuming. His eyes widened as he summoned a shield. The serpent collided with it, sending sparks flying. Exhausted, Qianxun could no longer sustain it, and the serpent gradually faded. She retrieved the talisman papers, now dim and nearly depleted of energy.
When they met again, Zhao Fuming was riding a white crane, disappearing into the distance. Qianxun staggered over to her fellow disciples.
"Qianxun, was that you just now?" Su Changyi asked in disbelief as he stood up. Qianxun, too tired to say much, simply nodded and replied, "Yes, let's get out of here quickly."
The group, too drained to ask further questions, supported each other as they left the scene.
