C8 Chiara’s mission
After the earlier incident Chiara alone outside sat beside the pool at the back of the mansion looking at the sky, but deep in thought, she was worried about the journey Alessio was about to embark upon, she feared that many lives would be lost, even though not innocent, but they also have families, she thinks a way to stop it and her only way is to kill Alessio, but she is not ready, she has to search for Bianchi’s source of power in no time as she also has to give her family report of what is going on.
Chiara!!! Alessio called, she was shocked upon seeing him, and she asked what he was doing to her late at night, alessio replied and asked her the same question.
Alessio sat down across her on a bench, and asked her what was troubling, Chiara chuckles saying in her mind that if he could only see the plans made for him, he would be terrified.
She replied with nothing and then said it was her turn to ask questions, alessio gave her a go-ahead because it was looking fun and interesting.
Chiara asked; I saw a picture of you and a guy in your teenage inside your room who is he, Alessio sighed and tears dropped from his eyes, but he quickly cleaned it, Chiara asked if all was well, and that he could choose not answer.
But he said it was alright, just that anytime he thought about it broke his heart, and reminded him of his best childhood friend, he explained the incident to her, but Chiara couldn’t say anything because it was a painful story.
She now sees what transforms her husband into the beast he is now, Alessio breaks the silence and says woman I don’t need your sympathy, what is gone is gone and he leaves.
Chiara watched him leave, but she stayed a little longer because she couldn’t find sleep, after some time Alessio came out and fell asleep in the cold weather, he looked at her and blushed, quickly, he went inside and brought a wrapper and covered her with a thick wrapper and rested her head on his lap, not knowing that his mother sees all the drama, she laughs and saw a glimpse of hope that his son can still change.
Alessio stared at the beautiful face of Chiara, and he muttered, you will have to endure this drama for a while, Chiara not fully asleep heard what he said but could not understand, she fell asleep back.
Later Alessio took her inside in his arms and placed her in his room on the bed and he sleeps on the bedside couch, this is the first time he would sleep on the floor, not for anything but because of a woman.
The next day Chiara woke, shocked, surprised, and confused, she kept asking questions about how she got here, she checked her body as if something had happened, she relaxed seeing that nothing happened to her, she got up peeped through the door, to check if anybody is outside, she sees no one, tiptoeing she leaves the room, as she was leaving a maid saw her and greet, she faced her and asked to be quiet but it was too late, Alessio and Isabella already saw her, immediately she changed the mood and went straight to her room.
After the family had taken breakfast, Chiara asked Alessio, if they could have a one or two conversation. Is there anything to talk about Alessio said.
You don't judge until you hear me out, Chiara replied.
In a quiet moment of vulnerability, Chiara invited Alessio in the dimly lit garden of their mansion.
Chiara gazed into Alessio's eyes, her heart heavy with concern. "Alessio," she began softly, "there's something I need to say."
Alessio turned his gaze toward her, his usually stoic expression softened by the moonlight. "What is it, Chiara?" he asked, his voice tinged with curiosity.
She took a deep breath, her words measured and filled with sincerity. "I've seen glimpses of the man you used to be, the one before all this darkness consumed you. I believe there's goodness within you, Alessio, buried beneath all the pain and anger."
Alessio remained silent, his eyes locked onto Chiara's.
Chiara continued, her voice trembling with emotion. "You don't have to continue down this path of destruction. You can change, Alessio. You can choose a different way, one that doesn't involve hurting others."
Alessio's gaze faltered, his jaw tightening. "Chiara," he said, his voice low and conflicted, "you don't understand. The world I live in, the choices I've made—it's not that simple."
Tears welled up in Chiara's eyes as she reached out to touch Alessio's cheek. "But it is, Alessio. It's always a choice. You can choose to let go of the darkness that's consuming you. You can choose to be the man you want to be, not the one your circumstances have forced you to become."
Alessio's eyes searched Chiara's, his turmoil evident. "Chiara," he whispered, "I appreciate your belief in me. But there are things you don't know, things I can't explain right now. The time for change hasn't come yet."
Chiara's heart ached as she heard his words. She knew there were secrets and complexities in Alessio's life that she couldn't fully comprehend. But she refused to give up on him.
"Please, Alessio," she implored, her voice filled with desperation, "don't let this darkness define you. Promise me that you'll at least consider the possibility of change, for your sake and ours."
Alessio lowered his head, his shoulders heavy with the weight of his choices. He took Chiara's hand in his, his touch gentle but conflicted.
"I can't make that promise, Chiara," he confessed, his voice barely a whisper. "Not yet. But know that your belief in me is a glimmer of hope in this dark world. And maybe, someday, I'll find the strength to change."
Chiara nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks. She understood that change wouldn't come easily for Alessio, that the darkness that surrounded him ran deep. But she couldn't help but hold onto the belief that love had the power to transform even the most damaged souls.
Alessio's words cut through the air, and his tone grew more bitter. "Chiara," he said, his voice tinged with frustration, "you're a lady. What do you know about this world, about the choices I've had to make? Since when did anyone start caring about me? You should just leave me be(with a strong tone)."
Chiara's heart ached at his words, but she refused to back down. "Alessio, I may be a lady, but that doesn't mean I'm blind to the pain you're carrying. And I do care about you, more than you might realize. I've seen glimpses of the man you used to be, the one who cared for his childhood friend. I know there's goodness within you."
Alessio turned away, his jaw clenched, unable to meet Chiara's gaze. "You're too kind, Chiara," he muttered, "and kindness is a weakness in this world."
Chiara stepped closer to him, determination in her eyes. "No, Alessio, kindness is a strength. It takes strength to change, to break free from the darkness. And I believe you have that strength within you."
Alessio remained silent, his inner turmoil evident. He wanted to push her away, to shield her from the darkness that surrounded him, but a part of him longed for the hope she offered.
Chiara reached out and gently turned his face toward her, forcing him to look into her eyes. "Alessio, please don't shut me out. We can face this darkness together. I'll be here for you, no matter what."
Alessio's resolve wavered, and he closed his eyes briefly as if battling with his inner demons. When he finally spoke, his voice was filled with uncertainty. "Chiara, I can't promise anything right now. But know that your presence in my life... it means more than you'll ever know."
Chiara was shocked by what he said, Trying to compose herself and not look weak, she immediately left his sight and found a way into her room.
After she leaves, Alessio's heartache, deep down he wishes to change, but what hurts him more is the way she talks to her.
