C1 Chapter 1

Jordan is my boyfriend and we have the same birth date. Funny right? We are both going to meet our mates given to us by the moon goddess tomorrow and he doesn't seem thrilled about it.

"Nala, I always knew you weren't happy with our relationship" he said angrily.

"What is wrong with you Jordan, of course I'm not happy to leave you, but, who isn't happy to meet his or her mate? You are being unreasonable" I said and I left him.

When I got home at night I sat on my bed and couldn't help wonder what was wrong with Jordan today. I was happy to meet my mate tho. I slept early because I couldn't wait for morning to come so I'd get to meet my mate.

I woke up early today and went about my usual routine. When I was done, I wore a short flared gown and sandals. I also applied little makeup on my face and I let my hair down.

I ran downstairs and my mum shouted, "Nala come here". Oh gosh I don't want her to waste my time, I really need to find my mate. I got to where she was standing and she suddenly pulled me into a tight hug.

"Happy birthday honey. I love you" she said kissing me and she handed me a parcel. I smiled and I kissed her back.

"I love you too mum. Thanks" I said and I put the parcel in my bag and ran to school. I have only my mum because my dad left my mum. He was human, and when my mum found him their relationship went just like a human relationship. They dated and when she finally told him who she was, he said he couldn't live with a monster and he left while she was pregnant and my mum was not one of the lucky wolves that got a second chance mate.

When I got to school I looked for Jordan to settle our dispute and I suddenly heard my wolf move happily inside me "Mate" she said and I grinned widely. I looked around and my gaze landed on Jordan. Oh...my...he is my mate can this day be any better I thought and moved closer to him smiling but he didn't return my smile.

"Don't tell me you are still annoyed about yesterday" I said and he frowned.

"I, Jordan Right, reject you, Nala Price, as my mate". What??. I was so not expecting that. I actually thought he was going to be happy.

"What's wrong Jordan?" I couldn't stop myself from asking as tears threatened to fall. He ignored me and he left. I felt broken. I cried as I went for my first class.

During lunch I sat with my friends, Dash, Willow, Kieran and Sheldon at our usual table. They had all found their mates already. Yeah, my friends were older than me. Willow smiled looking at me, "have you met your mate yet?" she asked and I nodded.

"Oh my goddess" they all said happily.

"But he rejected me" I chipped in and their smile faded.

"Who is he?" Dash asked and I didn't answer and I turned to see Jordan with Daisy the bitch of our pack

beside him and I immediately felt my wolf block me out. "Jordan" Sheldon said angrily

"but... why would he reject you? You guys were dating" Kieran said and I stood up. This is too much to take in. I ran home and I went to my room. "What's wrong honey?" my mum asked looking really worried.

"Nothing mum, I just don't think I want to go to school anymore."

"Oh... honey" she said entering into my room.

" Nala you know you can tell me anything " she said "I met my mate today mum" I said and smiled

" Nala I'm so happy... You will finally be happy unlike me I ..."

" mum he rejected me " i said cutting her off and crying "oh" my said sadly and she hugged me to comfort me as I cried on her shoulders.
