C12 Chapter 12

( RED's POV)

We were outside the hotel and as it slowly faded, we saw Lady H waving.

It was already four o'clock.

The three of us started walking to find a way out and head to Prixenter Town.

There was a lot of mist around here, and we couldn't see much.

As we passed by a creek, Blue suggested we stay there until it brightens up, as it seems to get misty at this time.

We sat on some rocks, watching the creek.

Blue stood up and sat on the grass, so we followed and lay down there.

"What's going to happen to us here?" Yellow asked.

"I don't know, Yel. We need to get into Arbexuelon Academy," Blue replied.

"Why do you think we are like this? We can no longer hold each other, and I feel like our powers have changed," I said.

We sat up.

I decided to release my firepower from my hand, but it suddenly ignited, and I panicked.

However, the fire wouldn’t go away.

"Yaaaah! The fire won't go away!" I shouted, jumping around.

"Red! Calm down!" Yellow said.

"How can I calm down?! The fire won't go away! It might never disappear!"

I screamed.

The fire jumped onto a tree and set it ablaze.

I sighed with relief when the fire finally disappeared.

Oh my god! My fire is spreading!

"Oh no! Put out the fire, Blue!" I shouted.

Blue quickly summoned water, but he couldn't control it, so Yellow and I ended up getting wet.

I rolled my eyes as I was already wet.

The fire was successfully extinguished.

We sat back down.

"It's like our powers have reset," Blue said.

"Hard to control," Yellow added.

We all sighed.

We sat in silence for a few minutes, deep in thought.

"ROOOOOOAAARRR!"

We all jumped up when we heard a loud roar.

A large bear-like creature with boar features appeared in front of us.

Wow! Its appearance was terrifying.

We all ducked when Yellow's lightning shot out from his fingers nearly hitting us.

"Sorry," Yellow said.

He struggled to control his powers.

The three of us separated.

Telepathy

'Don't use your powers, it might only make things worse if we can't control them,' Blue communicated.

Suddenly, more of the half-bear, half-boar creatures appeared and charged at me with long claws.

I crouched and kicked one in the stomach, causing it to bounce back with a burnt stomach, turning to ash.

They don't seem to focus on the eyes, just the body.

I punched one and elbowed another, burning and defeating them in the process.

I jumped and used my knees, punches, and kicks until I defeated them all.

It turns out I can beat them even without using my powers.

I held my knees and sat cross-legged on the grass, watching Blue and Yellow.

Blue used punches, elbows, and kicks.

Everything Blue hit would freeze, and then he would kick and shatter them.

Yellow's attacks exploded with a powerful electric charge.

There seem to be many monsters here.

I was surprised when something grabbed my leg and pulled me toward the water.

When it let go of me, its hand burned and turned black.

It was an ugly black siren.

I kicked it in the face, sending it flying across the creek

(Blue's point of view)

Yellow and I approached Red when he kicked the black mermaid.

"There are so many monsters here," Yellow said.

. . .

I closed my eyes when I felt something pull my leg, so I fell into the water. I heard Yellow and Red scream my name as I was pulled into the deeper part of the stream.

Luckily, I can breathe underwater.

I opened my eyes and saw myself surrounded by black mermaids. Thankfully, my wig had a strong grip and didn't come off.

My eyes widened when I saw an underwater castle and the humans they had captured.

The mermaids rushed toward me, so I quickly defended myself. I swam towards the underwater castle.

I headed towards the captured humans. The prison had air inside, so they could breathe.

The people shouted, "HELP US!!!" I told them to stay away.

Just as I was about to break them out, a male mermaid pulled me, unaffected by my icy skin. He punched me in the stomach.

I kicked him in the jaw, sending him flying.

When I saw Yellow approaching with an air bubble around his head, I told him, "Open it and give the people an air bubble. I'll cover you."

. . .

I communicated telepathically, and Yellow nodded.

I fought off those who tried to approach Yellow.

Yellow grabbed the iron bars and broke them with his strength.

The water flooded in, so he gave the people air bubbles, allowing them to swim upwards.

Suddenly, mermaids grabbed my arm and took me to the deepest part, where I saw their queen sitting leisurely.

They were all dressed in black.

The queen held a staff with a crystal ball on top.

"BLASPHEMY!!!" she shouted, causing an echo throughout the stream.

"WHO ARE YOU TO SET MY CAPTIVES FREE?!!!" she yelled.

The mermaids released me, seemingly afraid.

"Your Majesty! We saw them kill your servants," they said.

Wow, they could talk.

"Hey, ugly queen!!!" I shouted.

Their eyes widened, and they were shocked.

"Do you understand us?!!!" they asked.

"Of course! So, release me if you don't want this place destroyed," I said, grinning.

But I furrowed my brow when I heard their whispers.

"She is the one! She is the one who will free us."

"She is the one from the prophecy!"

"QUIET!!!!!" the queen suddenly shouted.

"I don't care if you understand us; you're disrespectful!!! KILL HER!!!!"

When they mentioned I was the one from the prophecy, I noticed their joy.

But it also saddened them.

"Impossible, she can't be the one from the prophecy because it's supposed to be three women," they whispered.

Telepathy

"Blue, where are you?!!!" Red asked.

"I'm down here. Red, raise the castle I saw."

"Okay," he replied as the ground shook gently.

The people here panicked.

The queen looked around frantically as we surfaced from underwater, but the water was still knee-deep.

Red and Yellow ran toward me.

"BLASPHEMY!!! WHO TOLD YOU TO RAISE MY KINGDOM!!!!!" she shouted.

"No one told us, but I did it. Why?!!" Red replied.

The air was still hazy.

The mermaids were seated due to their tails, but the queen didn't have a tail, only legs.

"What should we do, Blue?!! Should we kill them?" Yellow asked.

"We'll kill the queen," I answered.

"Alright, you handle the queen; you can take her down," Red said.

"Let's fight, ugly queen!" I said, grinning, as the queen stood and rushed at me.

The mermaids watching us gasped.

I dodged and evaded her attacks until she got tired and released black smoke.

"Dodge it; she'll turn you into a mermaid!!!" one mermaid shouted.

I teleported behind the queen and kicked her.

She fell to the ground.

But she still held the staff.

Suddenly, I had an insight.

I saw in my mind the power of the queen's staff—it sustained her life.

She used the staff to absorb the souls of her captives, allowing her to live forever.

I sat on the ground as she kicked me in the face.

Arrgh! I couldn't dodge that.

She tried to kick me again, but I teleported behind her, grabbed her staff, and kicked her back.

I choked her from behind using her staff, but she threw me away.

blllaaaagg!!

I flew in front of her.

I stood up while she held her throat that I had choked.

I grabbed her staff tightly.

Her eyes widened, and she turned pale.

"NO!!!!! DON'T DO THAT!!!" she screamed.

"Too late to say that!" I said, grinning, as I broke the staff and shattered the crystal ball.

"THAT CAN'T BE!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

BOOGGSSHH!

BLLAAGG!!!

The queen screamed and turned to ashes.

I fell to the ground, exhausted.

Hoooo! That was tiring.

.

I felt the castle sinking and turning to ashes.

I teleported to the grass.

Due to my lack of control, I ended up near a tree and bumped into it.

I rubbed my forehead.

Ouch! That hurts.

Someone reached out to me, but I ignored them.

I was startled when they pulled me up.

They didn't turn into ice.

It was the male mermaid who had punched me earlier.

Wow! His appearance changed—no more tail, now he had legs and feet.

His clothes were no longer black, but blue with touches of violet.

Wow! He's quite handsome.

He bowed to me and lifted my head.

"Thank you. If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have been freed from the queen's curse," he said, smiling.

They're no longer mermaids, and the captives had already left.

One by one, the former mermaids bowed to me.

I was surprised when one man kissed my hand.
